Chapter 647: Chapter 647 Eliminate Your Own Weakness

Phoebe Billy glanced around frantically.

I spoke coldly beside him, "I’m different from you people. At least I’ve got some humanity."

Phoebe Billy stared at me with a complicated expression.

"Daughter, go back to your room," he said gently.

After he sent his little girl back to her room, Phoebe walked over to me.

The moment he opened his mouth, I kicked him hard in the gut!

The kick launched Phoebe backward!

His knees crashed into the ground, cracking the floor tiles!

"Phoebe Billy, you’ve got some nerve," I said coldly.

Phoebe pulled himself up from the floor, wiped blood from his mouth, and said coldly, "Do what you want."

"Really?" I was livid. I stepped forward and smacked Phoebe across the face!

Phoebe knew he couldn’t beat me, so he gave up fighting back and let me rough him up.

I stared coldly at Phoebe and said, "You can ignore your own daughter’s life, are you even human?"

Phoebe clenched his teeth and said, "I’d rather trust the Martial Arts Association than you!"

"Really?" Hearing this, I laughed coldly.

Right then, I suddenly changed my approach.

I looked at Phoebe in front of me and said casually, "If I wanted to kill you right now, it’d be simple."

Phoebe stayed quiet. He couldn’t hide his fear. Facing death, anyone would be terrified.

"But I don’t want to kill you," I said lightly.

"Phoebe, how about we make a wager?"

Phoebe looked up at me and asked, "Wager what?"

"Whether the Capital City Martial Arts Association can be trusted," I sat down on the sofa.

I grabbed one of Phoebe’s cigarettes and lit it up. Then I said casually, "You can go tell the Martial Arts Association everything that happened. Let’s see if they’ll help you."

Hearing this, Phoebe couldn’t help but sneer, "Mason Raymond, is the Capital City Martial Arts Association really that rotten in your mind?"

"If I tell them what’s going on, they’ll definitely try to save my daughter!"

"Fine," I smirked coldly.

"If they really help you, I’ll never bother you again," I said.

"But if they don’t help you, then you work for me. Deal?"

Phoebe laughed in disbelief, "Mason Raymond, you’re gonna lose for sure!"

"Okay, deal." I didn’t want to waste more time talking to Phoebe Billy. I got up right away and walked out.

——

The next day.

Sybil Cooper sat in his office, his face pale as paper.

Several days had gone by since the black-robed man showed up and they still couldn’t catch him.

This didn’t just damage the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s reputation, it made their bosses question their abilities!

"The higher-ups ordered us to catch this black-robed man no matter what," Sybil Cooper took a deep breath.

But last time was their best shot. Now that they’d blown it, would the black-robed man be dumb enough to get caught?

"President Cooper, I’ve got an idea," his assistant said suddenly.

Sybil Cooper looked at him and nodded, "Go ahead."

The assistant said with a grin, "Everyone thinks the black-robed man is connected to that Mason Raymond. And his moves seem related to Mabel Sean’s bloodline."

Sybil Cooper nodded, "So?"

The assistant said calmly, "We can spread word that we’re planning to execute Mabel Sean publicly. I don’t believe the black-robed man wouldn’t show up!"

"Soon as he appears, kill him right away!"

It definitely sounded like a solid plan!

Even Sybil Cooper’s eyes lit up at the idea!

"Good thinking, but Mabel Sean is still the Miss of the Sean family. Public execution? Isn’t that a slap in the Sean family’s face?" Sybil Cooper frowned.

"Even if Logan Sean doesn’t care about Mabel, he’d definitely step in to protect the family’s reputation."

The assistant waved dismissively, "President Cooper, why are you so afraid of that Logan Sean?"

"You don’t get it," Sybil Cooper shook his head.

The assistant shrugged, "Well, I’m out of ideas then. Anyway, if we don’t catch him soon, the higher-ups will definitely blame us."

"By then, they might even shut down the Capital City Martial Arts Association."

Sybil Cooper’s face darkened as he wrestled with the choice.

"Forget it, I’ll go talk to Logan Sean. We might find a perfect solution," Sybil Cooper narrowed his eyes.

Suddenly, someone burst into the office.

As soon as he saw Sybil Cooper, the man dropped to his knees.

This man was Phoebe Billy!

"Phoebe, what are you doing?" Sybil Cooper narrowed his eyes.

Phoebe looked panicked as he said, "President Cooper, the black-robed man poisoned my daughter. You have to help me!"

"Poisoned your daughter?" Sybil Cooper’s eyes narrowed.

"Why would he target your daughter?"

Phoebe gritted his teeth and told Sybil Cooper what happened.

"As you know, I only have this one daughter..." Phoebe said painfully.

"For my daughter’s sake, I had no choice but to listen to him. My daughter is only four years old, I... I can’t watch her die."

"President Cooper, with the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s power, you can definitely remove the poison from my daughter’s body. I’m begging you to help me..."

Looking at the desperate Phoebe, Sybil Cooper’s face stayed grim.

His focus wasn’t on Phoebe’s daughter but, with a stern expression, he said, "So... you’re the one who leaked info to the black-robed man?"

Phoebe’s face changed. He quickly said, "President Cooper, I... I had no choice. If I didn’t listen to him, my daughter, he..."

"Bastard!" However, Sybil Cooper slapped Phoebe!

This slap made Phoebe cough up blood and cracked his rib!

"So you were the one who tipped off the black-robed man? No wonder we couldn’t catch him," Sybil Cooper said coldly.

Phoebe struggled to his feet. He gritted his teeth and said, "President Cooper, I can’t lose my daughter... I... I was forced..."

"No matter how you punish me, I’ll take it. I just beg you to save my daughter! Otherwise, my daughter will definitely die..."

Sybil Cooper sneered, "Phoebe, you’ve been with the Capital City Martial Arts Association for many years, right?"

Phoebe nodded, "Twenty-one years."

Sybil Cooper squinted and said, "Then you should know a rule. Once someone has a weakness, they lose their value, and your daughter is your weakness!"

"If you want to succeed, you must eliminate your own weaknesses!"

Phoebe’s face changed. He trembled as he asked, "What... what do you mean?"

Sybil Cooper stood with his hands behind his back and said lightly, "This is a good chance. Once your daughter is gone, your weakness disappears and your future success can reach even higher."

"Since your daughter is already poisoned, use this opportunity to get rid of your weakness."
