Chapter 634: Chapter 634 Power Takes What It Wants
Ivan Sean’s voice drew everyone’s attention instantly.
"Looks like there’s always been bad blood between the Sean family and the Divine Alchemist Pavilion. Seems they’re gonna duke it out behind the scenes this time."
"Yeah, it’s all about that Mason Raymond guy."
"The Divine Alchemist Pavilion threw a ton of money at Mason Raymond, but now he’s dead, so they got nothing and just made more enemies."
"That kind of investment’s just not worth the risk."
People buzzed with chatter, clearly hoping for some drama.
The Pavilion Master quietly raised her hand to bid, bumping up the price: "Ten billion."
"Fifteen billion!" Ivan Sean’s hand shot up without hesitation.
"Twenty billion." The Pavilion Master kept going.
Ivan Sean scoffed: "Thirty billion!"
The price shot through the roof.
This got the Capital City Martial Arts Association pumped. They lived for this kind of competition.
"Pavilion Master, should we keep bidding?" Mya Winona asked with a worried frown.
The Pavilion Master’s brow creased too.
The Seven-Coloured Glaze mattered, but she knew deep down that keeping this up wouldn’t help her cause.
"Forget it." The Pavilion Master sighed and shook her head: "The Sean family’s tight with the Capital City Martial Arts Association. Pushing this won’t do us any favors."
Mya Winona nodded slightly, whispering: "None of those Sean brothers are worth a damn."
After the Pavilion Master backed down, Ivan Sean couldn’t help but smirk: "Is this all the great Divine Alchemist Pavilion’s got? Giving up at 30 billion?"
"Thirty billion’s pocket change to the Sean family," Ivan Sean said smugly.
The Pavilion Master stayed quiet, refusing to take Ivan Sean’s bait.
Ivan Sean got up and strolled toward the stage with a cocky grin: "Finn Darby, if you apologize and bow down to our Sean family, we might think about forgiving you."
But the Pavilion Master still said nothing and even closed her eyes slightly.
Ivan Sean snorted coldly and headed straight for the stage.
The Capital City Martial Arts Association’s auctions worked differently from others.
They had a special rule.
Auctioned items had to be paid for on the spot to avoid any messy disputes later.
Ivan Sean walked right up to the stage, pulled out a bank card, and swiped it without batting an eye, like thirty billion was nothing to him.
"Congratulations, Mr. Sean!" The auctioneer carefully handed over the Seven-Coloured Glaze with deep respect.
Ivan Sean took the Seven-Coloured Glaze looking pleased with himself.
"Finn Darby, the Seven-Coloured Glaze belongs to me now," Ivan Sean yelled across the room.
Applause erupted, making Ivan Sean even more smug.
BOOM!
But right then, a massive crash came from the entrance!
The loud bang scared everyone senseless!
They spun around to see the door get blown apart, with the two White Robes guarding it getting grabbed by the throat by a black-robed figure.
The black-robed man flicked his wrist, hurling both guards out like ragdolls.
"You’ve all been hijacked," I said coldly.
My voice echoed through the auction hall.
After a moment of stunned silence, thunder-like laughter broke out!
"What’d you say? We’ve been hijacked? Kid, do you have any clue where you are?"
"Hijacking us on Capital City Martial Arts Association turf? Are you nuts?"
"Where’d this psycho come from?!"
They wouldn’t stop laughing, refusing to believe anyone would dare rob a Capital City Martial Arts Association auction!
I looked at them coldly and said, "This doesn’t concern you. I just want what belongs to the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
"Hahaha!"
The laughter got even crazier.
"Is this some new entertainment?"
"Probably something the Capital City Martial Arts Association hired to spice things up, right?"
"Want stuff from the Capital City Martial Arts Association? You’ve got some balls!"
Facing their mockery, cold killing intent burst from me.
Suddenly, a crimson longsword materialized in my palm!
With one swing, terrifying sword energy instantly split the stage in half!
The deafening sound hit everyone’s ears.
"Let me say it again, you’ve all been hijacked," I said coldly.
Now they realized this black-robed man wasn’t messing around!
"It’s him, the black-robed man!" Someone seemed to remember something!
"The black robe, the crimson longsword... It’s him, the black-robed man!"
"The one who killed nine super cultivators from the Capital City Martial Arts Association?!"
The scene erupted into chaos, people whispering and running every which way!
I glanced at them, then waved my hand, throwing up a golden barrier that blocked the entrance!
"Nobody leaves until I finish my business," I said coldly.
"Black-robed man... We’ve been hunting for you, and I didn’t expect you to come to us!" The White Robes went ballistic, charging at me all at once!
My expression stayed cold, and with one sword swing, several White Robes got sliced in half! The sharp smell of blood filled the air!
"Ahh!!!" Someone screamed in terror, and some people even dove under tables!
I ignored the crowd and walked straight to the stage.
Ivan Sean was still standing on the half-split platform.
He clutched the Seven-Coloured Glaze with both hands, looking totally rattled.
I quickly stepped onto the stage, glanced at Ivan Sean, and said: "Hand it over."
Ivan Sean frowned, trying to stay composed: "Black-robed man, I’m Ivan Sean of the Sean family. I already bought this and paid for it."
"You’re just unlucky," I said coldly.
With a reluctant look, Ivan Sean said: "Black-robed man, if you’re willing to let this slide, my Sean family owes you one."
Hearing this, I couldn’t help but sneer.
Ivan Sean thought he’d gotten through to me, so he kept going: "If the Capital City Martial Arts Association ever catches you, I can guarantee I’ll spare your life and even let you join our Sean family!"
"Join your mother!" I immediately slapped Ivan Sean and sent him flying!
The Seven-Coloured Glaze fell right into my hands.
That slap left Ivan Sean’s face bloody. Even though I’d held back, Ivan Sean was just a regular guy who couldn’t handle that kind of force.
The scene went dead silent.
If even Ivan Sean got no respect, what about them?
I tucked the Seven-Coloured Glaze away, then said coldly, "Put back everything you’ve auctioned."
Then I looked at the auctioneer and said coldly, "Hand over all the auction items to me."
The auctioneer’s lips trembled, and he nodded frantically.
"Black-robed man, you’ve got some nerve," a voice said, as an incredibly domineering aura spread out.
They turned to see Hawk Thompson walking out.
Two men in black and gold robes flanked him.
