Chapter 626: Chapter 626 Vengeance For Her Blood
Hearing this, I immediately sensed something was off.
I said quickly, "Just spit it out. I swear I won’t hurt your daughter."
Phoebe Billy went quiet for a beat, then slowly said, "The super cultivators at the Capital City Martial Arts Association... they’re all made using Miss Sean’s blood. That’s why we took Miss Sean."
"What?!" I shot to my feet, rage flooding through me.
I stared daggers at Phoebe Billy, grinding my teeth. "Start talking!"
Phoebe Billy knew I’d lose it, but his face stayed blank.
He lit up a smoke, then said, "Word is Miss Sean’s got special blood. Anyone with that bloodline gets crazy strong."
"We drain blood from Miss Sean every day to juice up the Association members with potential."
"Those three guys? They’re our lab rats."
Fury exploded in my chest.
My veins popped, my face twisted, and killing intent filled the room so thick even Phoebe Billy shivered.
"Capital City Martial Arts Association..." Sharp pain stabbed through my chest, like my blood was on fire, and I almost passed out.
"You’ve been feeding others Mabel’s blood... you sick freaks!"
Phoebe Billy took a long drag and said, "Relax, Miss Sean’s safe. We’re giving her premium herbs, so chill out."
"Chill out?" My eyes went red.
"How about I string up your daughter and bleed her dry every day while feeding her the finest Spirit Core? You cool with that?"
Phoebe Billy went white. He stuttered, "Mason Raymond, you... don’t do anything stupid."
I was choking down my rage, fighting to stay level.
I never imagined these so-called super cultivators were actually vampires sucking Mabel dry!
"You... you’re all bloodsuckers." I was breathing hard.
Phoebe Billy stayed quiet. He knew this would set me off, but he was out of moves.
I sat there, silent for ages.
I grabbed Phoebe’s cigarette and took a deep hit.
"Where are these three super cultivators?" I asked coldly.
Phoebe Billy jumped. "What’re you gonna do?"
"Kill them." My voice was ice.
"Phoebe Billy, I’ll tell you straight up - starting today, for every super cultivator the Capital City Martial Arts Association makes, I’m putting one in the ground!"
"Anyone who uses Mabel’s blood, I’m not letting a single one live! Not until you stop."
This news secretly thrilled Phoebe Billy.
As Vice President of the Martial Arts Association, he knew exactly how strong those three super cultivators were.
If I went after them, wouldn’t I be walking into death?
So without hesitation, Phoebe Billy said, "They usually hit up the Flourishing Bar for drinks at night. Try your luck there."
I looked at Phoebe Billy. "You better not be lying to me, or you’ll pay."
Phoebe Billy shrugged. "I swear on everything, I’m not lying."
I said nothing more. I stood up to leave.
After two steps, I suddenly turned and walked toward his daughter’s room.
"What... are you doing!" Phoebe Billy went pale and chased after me.
I sat next to the little girl and smiled. "Hey sweetie, this is the newest candy. Want to try some? It’s really sweet."
The little girl didn’t know about me and Phoebe Billy. She smelled the pill and got hooked by the scent.
"Mason Raymond, what are you doing!" Phoebe Billy reached for the pill, but I grabbed his wrist.
"Don’t worry, this is my own creation. As long as you play straight with me, this pill won’t hurt your daughter. Actually, it’ll help her." My voice was cold.
"But if you dare spill this secret, this pill turns into deadly poison!"
Phoebe Billy’s face turned nasty. He clenched his fists. "You better promise this pill won’t hurt my daughter, or I’ll kill you even if it kills me!"
"I got no reason to hurt your daughter." I stood up.
I walked to the door, stopped, and said quietly, "I don’t want people knowing I’m alive yet... so you know what to do."
After dropping that bomb, I left.
——
At night, a figure in a black cloak moved quickly through the streets.
It was Mason Raymond.
I soon reached the Flourishing Bar and grabbed a random seat.
This bar was big news in Capital City. They said the crowd here was mostly rich pretty boys and famous stars.
They dressed flashy, making my black cloak stick out like a sore thumb.
Under the black cloak, my face was stone cold.
Even though I kept my killing intent in check, you could still feel the chill.
"Damn..."
Phoebe Billy’s words kept playing in my head.
I wanted to storm the Capital City Martial Arts Association and save her.
But I wasn’t some hotheaded kid anymore. I knew charging the Martial Arts Association now wouldn’t save anyone - I’d just get myself killed.
After sitting down, I spread out my divine sense.
Soon, I caught several martial artists.
"Hm? A Marquis?" I raised an eyebrow and scanned nearby.
Not far off sat a woman. When I looked at her, our eyes locked.
"How’s there a Marquis in some dive bar like this." I frowned.
Everyone knew Marquis were rare as hell - you barely saw one on regular days.
While I was thinking, the woman walked over.
"Friend, want a drink?" the woman offered me a glass.
I stayed quiet, ignoring the woman.
The woman kept going. "A Marquis hiding so well. You must be here to kill someone."
My face went cold. "This isn’t your business. Better stay out of it."
The woman ignored me and continued, "Not many in this world can trouble a Marquis. But you, a Marquis, are going so far as to hide yourself to kill someone. Your target must be a big deal."
My face got colder and colder. I sipped my drink and said icily, "Being too clever can get you killed."
