Chapter 614: Chapter 614 A World Without Him

Watching the mustached man’s greedy look, I felt a spark of temptation myself.

Multiple people had mentioned that the Immortal Slaying Sect was once the top sect of its time. Getting an opportunity here could completely transform my life.

"Let’s get moving. We’re wasting time," I said, anxious about what was happening in the outside world.

The mustached man rolled his eyes. "What’s the rush? I need to get ready. This is the Immortal Slaying Sect. Touch the wrong thing and we’ll be trapped here forever."

He pulled several magical artifacts from his pocket.

The items looked strange - pestles, bowls, and things covered in dense writing.

I couldn’t help asking, "What are those?"

The mustached man answered, "Got these from Western Buddhism. They carry the purest faith power and work as protection."

I nodded without asking more questions.

I was completely drained, so I used this chance to rest.

——

Outside world.

Everyone seemed to have accepted the news of Mason Raymond’s death.

Very few people still held hope, since Mason Raymond hadn’t shown up for a full month.

Inside Green Moon Villa.

A white-haired young man sat by a Spiritual Spring, drawing qi from it.

The young man was Victor Green.

Since hearing about Mason Raymond’s death, Victor Green’s playful attitude had disappeared completely. It was replaced by a determined, hardworking young man.

Mya Winona decided to go back to the Divine Alchemist Pavilion. She’d originally left because of Mason Raymond.

With Mason Raymond gone, she had nothing left to stay for.

"Who said you could cultivate here?"

Two people walked over and pointed at Victor Green, yelling at him.

Victor Green opened his eyes. Rage flashed across his face, but he held it back.

He stood up, turned around, and walked away from the Spiritual Spring.

He went to the Great Hall and entered a bedroom.

Ximena Santos lived in this room.

Victor Green pushed the door open and walked in.

When Ximena Santos saw Victor Green, she slowly stood up. Her expression looked troubled. "Victor Green..."

Victor Green took a deep breath. "Patriarch Santos, I’m planning to leave Green Moon Villa."

Loss flickered across Ximena Santos’ face as she frowned. "Why...why?"

Victor Green said seriously, "Mr. Raymond is gone, and Green Moon Villa is controlled by traitors. It’s time for me to go."

Ximena Santos started to speak, then sighed. "It’s dangerous going out alone. You don’t have Mason Raymond to depend on anymore."

Pain crossed Victor Green’s face when he heard this.

Then he said seriously, "That’s exactly why. I depended too much on Mr. Raymond this past year, so I haven’t improved much."

"If I’d worked harder at cultivation, maybe...maybe I could have helped Mr. Raymond, or at least killed that Kira Doris!"

Ximena Santos’ lips trembled like she wanted to say something, but she just nodded silently.

"I wish you safe travels," Ximena Santos said.

Victor Green nodded, then turned and left.

Though Ximena Santos was still the sect master of Green Moon Villa, she’d become a puppet long ago.

Kira Doris was the real master now.

Kira Doris kept Ximena Santos around for one reason: she still had respect within Green Moon Villa!

Even if Kira Doris wanted to control Green Moon Villa, he had to slowly strip away Ximena Santos’ power.

At Green Moon Villa’s center stood a huge statue.

The statue looked like Mason Raymond - powerful, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, radiating arrogance and an unmatched presence.

Kira Doris looked up at the statue and sneered. "Mason Raymond, I knew you’d die eventually, but I didn’t think it would be this soon."

"Once I completely take back the Great Saint Sect, your statue will be gone!"

——

Capital City Martial Arts Association.

Over the past month, the Capital City Martial Arts Association had trained many experts. Eight of them became newly-promoted Military Marquises!

There were also rumors that someone in the Capital City Martial Arts Association had reached Peak Military Marquis, just below Martial Saint!

This success brought the Capital City Martial Arts Association incredible achievement, and their reputation grew even stronger!

During this time, the well-dressed young men from aristocratic families also entered the Military Marquis realm.

The most outstanding ones reached mid-term Military Marquis stage.

Like Alberto Sean, Zora Solomon, and Males Ran.

With Mason Raymond dead, Capital City seemed to have calmed down, and everything was progressing smoothly.

"The city has been much more peaceful since Mason Raymond died," said an old man on the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s rooftop, hands clasped behind his back.

"Yeah, that troublemaker really made us sweat," said Sybil Cooper behind the old man.

The old man glanced at Sybil Cooper. "We had Paul Randall before and Mason Raymond after. I wonder who’s next."

Sybil Cooper sneered. "Whoever it is, we’ll crush them before they grow!"

"Besides, the Capital City Martial Arts Association is much stronger now. Not just the next Mason Raymond - even if Mason Raymond was still alive, he wouldn’t cause us as much trouble as before."

The old man stayed quiet, just nodding.

——

Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

Paul Randall made a rare appearance in the Pavilion Master Building.

The two sat across from each other, sipping tea quietly.

"Just like that, more than a month has gone by," Paul Randall said with a small sigh.

"Yes," the Pavilion Master nodded.

"Time flies so fast. I bet everyone in Capital City is pretty happy now," the Pavilion Master continued.

Suddenly, Paul Randall paused. "Finn Darby, do you really think Mason Raymond is dead?"

The Pavilion Master’s hand stopped halfway to her mouth when she heard this.

She set down her tea and laughed. "We both probably know the answer deep down."

Paul Randall couldn’t help stroking his beard and chuckling.

After a moment, Paul Randall said in a serious tone, "The Capital City Martial Arts Association hated Mason Raymond deeply. His disappearance now is a smart move."

"Yes," the Pavilion Master agreed.

"The Capital City Martial Arts Association had reached their breaking point with him. I’m sure they would have sent out the Martial Saint if Mason Raymond had kept going."

"Yeah," Paul Randall sighed.

He put down his teacup. "I hope Mason Raymond understands the situation and stays hidden."

"By the way, have you seen Duane Sean lately?" Paul Randall suddenly asked.

The Pavilion Master shook her head. "Since the news of Mason Raymond’s death, Duane Sean vanished like smoke. I sent people to look, but they found nothing."

"He even shut down his previous companies."

Paul Randall frowned slightly, looking worried.

But the Pavilion Master smiled. "Mr. Randall, don’t overthink it. Duane Sean is much stronger than we think."

Paul Randall just nodded and didn’t ask more questions.

——

Inside the Immortal Slaying Sect.

The mustached man was carefully drawing strange symbols on paper.

After a whole night, he finally finished.

He wiped sweat from his forehead and said excitedly, "We can leave now!"
