Chapter 612: Chapter 612 The Blood Red Sword

Walton Greer gripped the Black Gold Ball tightly, letting it merge with the dark energy coursing through his body.

Right as Walton prepared to strike, his phone buzzed.

He checked the caller ID and saw Hawk Thompson’ name flashing on the screen.

Walton’s eyebrows lifted slightly as he answered, stepping away from the others.

"How’s it going?" Hawk Thompson’ voice was ice-cold.

Walton looked down at Bella Tad writhing on the ground. "I was about to finish him."

"Bring him back breathing," Hawk Thompson said flatly.

"Don’t forget, someone wants his body intact."

Walton’s brow creased. He started to respond, but Hawk Thompson had already ended the call.

"Damn it..." Walton’s expression darkened. He’d been eyeing Bella Tad’s holy body himself, but Hawk Thompson had beaten him to it.

Walton stared at Bella for a long moment, torn between choices.

"We can’t cross Hawk Thompson just yet..." a raspy voice whispered in his head.

Walton ground his teeth but backed down.

He scooped up Bella and headed out.

The entire Green Moon Villa erupted with furious people, all ready to stop Walton from taking Bella.

But Kira Doris stepped forward, blocking everyone’s path.

"We’re no match for Walton Greer. Everyone needs to cool it," Kira said sharply.

"So we just let him walk out with Bella?" someone yelled.

Kira snorted. "What’s your brilliant plan? Want us all to throw our lives away? Remember, you need to be alive to fight another day."

The crowd grumbled, but Kira’s logic was solid.

After Bella disappeared, a cold smile spread across Kira’s face.

"What perfect timing!"

——

I was still working through the inner cores inside the Immortal Slaying Sect.

One after another, the cores burst inside my body, quietly boosting my strength.

Before I knew it, a full month had slipped by.

The pile of inner cores in my hands kept shrinking.

I got up and tested the door again, but it wouldn’t budge. Not even a hairline crack appeared.

"Am I really stuck here forever?" My frown deepened.

The Immortal Slaying Sect had been falling apart for years. There weren’t any resources left to rebuild with.

Without inner cores, I couldn’t even train properly in this place.

"Maybe the Immortal Slaying Sect left some weapons behind. With the right weapon, I might be able to crack this door," I thought.

Weapons were my only shot now.

So I started combing through the Immortal Slaying Sect.

The sect members had been mighty realm cultivators, so their weapons had to be incredible.

But when I searched, my heart sank. Sure, there were tons of weapons, but they’d all been smashed to bits.

I couldn’t even lift the pieces, let alone use them.

"What now..." I stared at the weapon scraps, feeling stuck.

I picked up a small fragment and tried crushing it with everything I had.

But the piece was rock-hard. It didn’t even budge under my full strength.

"No wonder these belonged to mighty realm warriors!" I was blown away.

This stuff had to be tougher than Black Gold Stones, right?

"If I could work with these fragments...maybe I could forge something amazing!" I whispered.

Then it hit me like a lightning bolt!

I quickly pulled an Artifact Refining Cauldron from my Spatial Magic Artifact and set it down.

This was the same cauldron I’d stumbled across with the mustache guy in the Dragon Vein!

"That’s it! I’ve got an Artifact Refining Cauldron! If I gather these pieces and fuse them with my bronze sword, wouldn’t that make an incredible weapon?!" I shouted with excitement.

With my current forging skills, building a complete weapon from scratch with just fragments was impossible.

So I’d have to try attaching them to my bronze sword instead.

But that was plenty, since all this material came from ancient times and belonged to mighty realm cultivators.

With that plan, I immediately started collecting fragments.

It took me a full day and night, but I finally gathered a decent pile.

I dumped the fragments into the Artifact Refining Cauldron and pulled out my bronze sword.

"Here goes nothing. I really hope this works." I tossed both the bronze sword and fragments into the cauldron together.

Then I dug through the memories my father had left behind, searching for refining techniques.

Luckily, my father knew countless methods, so finding the right one wasn’t too hard.

I spent three more days mastering the refining technique.

Once I had everything ready, I began forging the weapon.

Weapon crafting and alchemy were pretty similar arts.

The main difference was that weapon forging needed much purer flames.

After all, these materials were way harder than herbs.

Of course, that also meant fire control didn’t need to be quite as precise as in alchemy.

"Weapon forging eats up way more spiritual fire than alchemy," I thought.

I dropped a ball of spiritual fire into the refining cauldron and started working the bronze sword by controlling the flame.

As soon as the spiritual fire hit, the cauldron began glowing with misty energy.

This energy mixed with the spiritual fire to create incredible power!

That’s exactly what I needed to fuse these fragments.

"What kind of material is this Artifact Refining Cauldron made from? It can actually refine such tough stuff," I wondered.

I guided the Purple Spirit Fire to slowly melt the materials.

Between the spiritual fire and the Artifact Refining Cauldron working together, the materials started melting down.

Now came the hardest part.

I closed my eyes slightly and used my strong divine sense to direct the cauldron’s energy, making the melted materials bond with the bronze sword.

It was incredibly complex and took forever. I sat there for three straight days.

During those three days, I burned through more than half my spiritual power, and my divine sense was nearly wiped out.

But I couldn’t afford to lose focus because even one tiny mistake would wreck the whole forging process.

The materials stuck to the bronze sword, which started humming and shaking inside the Artifact Refining Cauldron.

"Hum!"

After another three days, the bronze sword finally exploded with brilliant light!

Massive energy burst out, and the bronze sword turned blood-red, like it had been soaked in blood!

My eyes snapped open. Despite being completely drained, I rushed to grab the bronze sword from the cauldron.

"I did it!" I yelled with pure joy.

"Seems like...weapon forging isn’t that tough after all."

If anyone heard me say that, they’d probably want to strangle me.

As I held the bronze sword, I tried channeling a thread of spiritual power into it.

Instantly, the bronze sword started shaking like crazy!

Ancient energy swirled around the bronze sword!

With my eyes half-closed, I could actually feel the raw power surging through the sword!

"This power is insane!" I gasped.

Not only were these fragments incredibly strong, but they also carried traces of Mighty Realm power!

Now all that power had been poured into my bronze sword!

I tried to contain my excitement, looking at the massive gate in the distance, and whispered, "Wonder if this thing can break through that door!"
