Chapter 609: Chapter 609 Mason Raymond Is Dead

The ghostly figure slowly turned around.

His eyes held incredible depth, his face marked with a hint of coldness.

Sharp features, firm lines, and a strong face—he looked at me with calm intensity.

I jumped up quickly, reaching out to hold him, but my hands went right through his body.

"Father, Father!" I screamed desperately.

"Where are you? Where have you been all this time, and why haven’t you ever visited me?" I shouted wildly.

But the figure stayed quiet, just staring at me.

All the hurt in my heart exploded right then.

"Why didn’t you come see me while I was growing up? You have incredible power, but you left me behind! Do you know what I’ve been through all these years!" I roared.

"People beat me down, shamed me, treated me like dirt, kicked me out of my own family, and..."

Even though I wanted to stay strong in front of my father, tears filled my eyes.

"I’m not the same Mason Raymond who used to let everyone walk over him." I wiped my eyes, refusing to let the tears drop.

Our eyes met as I straightened up.

The ghostly figure seemed to be fading slowly.

I squeezed my fists tight, pushing down the ache in my chest.

After everything I’d been through, I knew complaining wouldn’t fix anything.

A man has to stay cool no matter what hits him.

Just as the phantom was about to vanish, it lifted its tired hand, like it wanted to touch my head.

But the figure just passed through my body and slowly disappeared.

I clenched my fists as tears filled my eyes again.

"Dad..." Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I dropped to my knees with a crash, pain all over my face.

Exhaustion hit me like a wave.

I fell to the ground, whispering, "I’m so tired, so tired..."

As I spoke, everything went dark, and I blacked out.

——

Outside, Hawk Thompson had already brought everyone back to the Capital City Martial Arts Association.

"Everyone, get out of here," Hawk said coldly.

After that, Hawk rushed to Sybil Cooper’s office.

Seeing Hawk with his broken arm, Sybil’s face darkened a bit.

"What went down?" Sybil asked.

Hawk gritted his teeth and said, "Mason Raymond did this!"

Sybil stayed quiet for a moment before asking, "Where’s Mason Raymond now?"

"He’s dead," Hawk sneered.

"I trapped him in the Immortal Slaying Sect."

Then, Hawk told Sybil everything that happened.

After hearing it all, Sybil narrowed his eyes and said, "This Mason Raymond... is finally gone!"

Hawk said coldly, "If he didn’t die, would I have broken my arm for nothing?"

Sybil didn’t seem to care about Hawk’s arm. He squinted and said, "Those people from the bottom... they actually fought back?"

"Yeah." Hawk’s face flashed with rage when he brought up the subject.

"Don’t worry, I’ll wipe them all out right now!"

Sybil shook his head: "You can’t move again; it would cause problems with the higher-ups."

Hawk was quiet for a moment before saying, "President Cooper, don’t worry, I’ve got a plan worked out. None of those people... will make it out alive!"

Sybil seemed to trust Hawk and didn’t ask more questions. Instead, he gave orders: "By the way, Mason Raymond has that place called Green Moon Villa, right? Make it disappear."

Hawk nodded slightly, "Got it."

——

Capital City, on a bare mountain.

Hawk Thompson, with only one good arm, stood there waiting for someone.

"Mr. Thompson..."

Soon, a guy in a black robe showed up behind Hawk Thompson.

This man was Walton Greer.

Hawk Thompson looked at Walton Greer and said coldly, "I’m going to kill Bella Tad and the others, every last one of them."

Saying that, Hawk Thompson gave Walton Greer a list.

On this list were not just their names, but their complete personal details.

Walton Greer took the list and said with a nasty smile, "Mr. Thompson, what’s in it for me?"

Hawk Thompson replied coldly, "I won’t screw you over, just get it done."

Walton Greer wasn’t stupid; he knew exactly what kind of guy Hawk Thompson was.

Empty words weren’t going to fool Walton Greer.

Seeing that Walton Greer wasn’t moving, Hawk Thompson said impatiently, "What do you want?"

Walton Greer looked at the two black balls that Hawk Thompson was messing with in his hand.

"I want those two Black Gold Stone Magical Artifacts," said Walton Greer.

Hearing this, Hawk Thompson’ eyes went wide!

He stared at Walton Greer coldly with a threatening tone, "Don’t get too greedy, or you’ll bring trouble on yourself!"

But Walton Greer didn’t panic. He said with a slight smile, "Mr. Thompson, all those people are top fighters, especially Bella Tad. His power matches mine."

"If I mess up, you’ll take a hit too, won’t you?"

"Plus, these Black Gold Stones... They’re not exactly precious treasures for the Capital City Martial Arts Association, are they?"

Hawk Thompson frowned, snorted, then waved his hand, letting the two black balls drop into Walton Greer’s hands.

"Just do it, and keep it clean," said Hawk Thompson coldly.

"And don’t let anyone think the Capital City Martial Arts Association was involved!"

Walton Greer licked his lips and said, "Mr. Thompson, don’t worry."

——

Mason Raymond is dead!

This news spread like wildfire through the martial arts world!

"Mason Raymond... actually died like that?"

"I heard he died inside the Immortal Slaying Sect."

"The Immortal Slaying Sect? That sect from ten thousand years ago?"

"I think there’s more going on here. Maybe Hawk Thompson had it out for him personally. Everyone knows the Capital City Martial Arts Association once sent Hawk Thompson to hunt down Mason Raymond."

"Is Mason Raymond really dead? I still can’t believe it..."

For a while, gossip ran wild, and almost half the people didn’t buy that Mason Raymond had actually died.

Inside Green Moon Villa, Ximena Santos and the others looked sick.

"Mr. Raymond... couldn’t have just died like this!"

Mya Winona and Victor Green were crushed, but deep down, they still believed that Mason Raymond definitely wasn’t dead!

Time crawled by, and before they knew it, a week had gone by.

But Mason Raymond still hadn’t shown up, which made everyone start accepting that he was really gone.

——

Right then, I finally came to from being knocked out.

I walked to the door, trying to smash it down.

"Boom!"

But no matter how hard I hit it, I couldn’t break the door down.

"What am I supposed to do now?" I couldn’t help but frown.
