Chapter 603: Chapter 603 The Arrogant Must Kneel

Walton Greer’s icy voice rang through the hall.

The lower-ranking martial artists’ faces went white as sheets!

Bella Tad’s earlier words flooded their thoughts. They’d never believed Bella’s warning would prove accurate!

The crowd desperately looked at Hawk Thompson, their eyes begging for mercy.

But Hawk Thompson declared coldly, "The Immortal Slaying Sect faces a deadly crisis. These weak, rebellious low-ranking martial artists will perish in the Sect."

"You...you!" Hawk Thompson’ harsh words made everyone’s blood run cold!

Nearby, the Capital City circle members showed no emotion, as though they’d seen this coming.

Sitting in my chair, I grew more worried by the second. At this rate, these people would die right here!

I tried to feel Bella Tad’s life energy, discovering that while Bella wasn’t dead, his strength was nearly gone.

Without assistance, he’d surely die.

"Captain Thompson, is this truly the right path?" Elena Green spoke up then.

When I heard Elena Green’s words, I felt a wave of relief inside.

No surprise she was Mabel Sean’s friend. At least she had a good heart.

But Elena Green speaking alone wouldn’t change anything.

Hawk Thompson replied coldly, "Miss Green, we all agreed on this decision. You’d better stay quiet."

Zora Solomon also snorted coldly, "They’re just worthless bugs. If they die, they die. Why worry about it, Miss Green?"

Elena Green started to speak again, but Hawk Thompson cut her off with a hand gesture.

"Walton Greer, your turn," Hawk Thompson commanded coldly.

Walton Greer licked his lips and answered, "Don’t worry."

After speaking, Walton Greer gripped the dark energy in his hand and moved toward the crowd.

On stage, I was sweating bullets and clearly panicked.

The bracelets showed no signs of loosening. Even if I stepped in, I couldn’t stop them and might lose my own life!

"I’ve got it!" Suddenly, I seemed to figure something out!

I gathered all my strength and yelled, "How dare you foolish youngsters break into my Immortal Slaying Sect!"

Everyone jumped at this challenge.

Even Hawk Thompson shuddered in fear, sweat beading on his forehead!

He rushed toward me, bowing with cupped hands in respect, stuttering, "Se...Senior, we meant no harm, please forgive us..."

"Outrageous!" I shouted, playing my role, "Kneel!"

Hawk Thompson had no clue I was acting. He thought he was facing the actual sect leader of the Immortal Slayer Sect.

Hawk Thompson frantically warned, "Quick, kneel! Everyone kneel!"

All these spoiled young masters from the Capital City valued their lives, hurrying to kneel as Hawk Thompson ordered.

"Senior, we meant no disrespect. We hold the Immortal Slaying Sect in the highest regard. Please forgive our errors..." Hawk Thompson knelt on the ground, shaking as he spoke.

Inside, he was already panicking. After all, the attendees were Pyro’s top young generation!

Plus, among them were juniors from major noble families.

If anyone died, they’d face terrible consequences!

Sitting in my chair, I couldn’t help feeling relieved. I really wanted to see Hawk Thompson’ terrified face as he begged on the ground.

"Who are you, and who gave you permission to enter my Immortal Slayer Sect?" I continued my act.

Hawk Thompson quickly said, "Senior, we’re from the Capital City Martial Arts Association. We came to the Immortal Slayer Sect... to visit and see the legendary world’s top sect..."

I scoffed, "Really?! Know your place, youngster. If you dare lie to me, I’ll destroy your soul!"

"I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t dare. As your junior, I’d never dare deceive you," Hawk Thompson said quickly.

His head pressed to the ground, afraid to anger the "Sect Leader" of the Immortal Slaying Sect.

I didn’t know what to say next; the scene went quiet.

Hawk Thompson and the others didn’t dare breathe loudly as they knelt, waiting for judgment.

"Capital City Martial Arts Association... what’s that? Why haven’t I heard of it?" I asked again.

"The Capital City Martial Arts Association is our group. It’s only grown powerful recently..." Hawk Thompson quickly replied.

"Hmph, when the tiger’s away, the monkey rules the mountain!" I said coldly.

"You recklessly broke into the Immortal Slaying Sect and woke me from deep meditation. This is an unforgivable crime!" I thundered.

Hawk Thompson’ face went pale, and he burst out, "Please spare us, we’ll leave right away!"

"Do you think my Immortal Slaying Sect is some market where you can come and go freely!" I roared.

"Everyone, kneel and bow thirty times. Maybe then I’ll think about sparing your lives."

Hearing this, Hawk Thompson rushed to say, "Yes, yes, we’ll do whatever you command."

After saying this, Hawk Thompson was first to bow.

The others seemed unwilling to bow. They were all proud, arrogant people who naturally didn’t want to swallow this humiliation. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"If you don’t want to die, start bowing now! The sect leader of the Immortal Slaying Sect is a great Returning to the Void cultivator. One thought from him could destroy your souls!" Hawk Thompson shouted angrily.

Though unwilling, the weight in Hawk Thompson’ words made them reluctantly bow.

For a moment, "thump, thump, thump" sounds echoed throughout the Great Hall.

I laughed joyfully in my mind. How did it feel to make the refined young men of the Capital City bow their heads?

Under heaven, no one had ever witnessed such a sight!

Finally, they finished their thirty bows.

Hawk Thompson lifted his head and asked shakily, "Senior... may we leave now?"

I held back my laughter and said, "Get out, and remember that my Immortal Slaying Sect isn’t a place where insignificant people like you can visit. If I catch you here again, I’ll spare no one from your Capital City Martial Arts Association!"

"Yes, yes, we understand..." Hawk Thompson got up quickly and turned to leave.

"Pfft!"

Just as they were about to leave, I couldn’t hold my laughter anymore and burst out laughing from my chair.

This sudden laughter made everyone freeze.

"Damn!" I cursed in my heart.

"Just now... was someone laughing?" Alberto Sean asked with a frown.

Hawk Thompson scratched his ear uncertainly, turned to me and asked, "Excuse me... were you the one laughing, sir?"

"Yes, I was laughing," I admitted bluntly.

"If there’s nothing else, get out of here," I said coldly.

"Hold on." At this point, Alberto Sean turned to look at me.

He said coldly, "Sir, can you turn around and let me see your real face?"

"Ridiculous! Is my true face something you can see?" I roared.

Alberto Sean shot back, "Sir, why do I find you somewhat strange? Your clothes and appearance don’t look like they’re from a thousand years ago."

"And all these years... your clothes haven’t decayed at all?"

At Alberto Sean’s reminder, everyone began to sense something was wrong.

"Turn around, let us look," Alberto Sean said coldly.

"Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude." Alberto Sean’s hand glowed with brilliant light, ready to strike at any moment.
