Chapter 593: Chapter 593 A Lesson In Obedience

Walton Greer’s eyes narrowed when he heard this.

Walton had always wanted to transform his status. Being part of some Central Plains aristocratic family meant nothing. If he could get into the Capital City Martial Arts Association, now that would truly change everything.

"What do you need me to do, Captain Thompson?" Walton asked.

Hawk Thompson clasped his hands behind his back, speaking with cold detachment. "I can see you’re not ordinary. I’ll create chances for you to eliminate Mason Raymond."

"Kill Mason Raymond, and the Capital City Martial Arts Association will naturally offer you a position."

Walton’s voice dropped low. "Captain Thompson, do you really think I can take down Mason Raymond alone?"

"No," Hawk Thompson shook his head.

He kept his hands behind his back, speaking slowly. "Honestly, even I’m not completely sure I could kill Mason Raymond. But I’ll find a way to weaken his condition first."

"Oh?" This surprised Walton even more.

"Then why not get someone else to do it? Why come to me?"

Hawk Thompson let out a light snort. "Because you’re the only one who fits."

Walton stayed quiet for a moment, then nodded. "Fine. I’ll do it."

Hawk Thompson nodded his approval. "Go on then. I’ll create the opportunity."

Without another word, Walton turned and walked away.

The first round of the Demonic Beast massacre was winding down. The sky had grown dark, and the sun had set.

——

That evening, Hawk Thompson called everyone together. He held the inner core in his hand, speaking softly. "Time for me to hand out the inner cores."

With a quick motion, one inner core after another dropped into his palm. The quality varied wildly, but the Water Tortoise inner core from my kill was clearly the most valuable.

Hawk Thompson pulled out the Water Tortoise inner core, scanned the crowd, then said, "Alberto Sean."

Alberto Sean stepped forward, looking quietly at Hawk Thompson, waiting for what came next.

Hawk Thompson handed the inner core to Alberto. "This inner core belongs to you."

The faces of everyone else shifted when they heard this. My eyebrows pulled together slightly.

"Bullshit! That inner core clearly belongs to Mason Raymond! Why are you giving it to Alberto Sean?" Bella Tad suddenly shouted angrily.

Hawk Thompson’s face went cold. He raised one finger, and Bella’s bracelets started glowing. Intense pain made Bella gasp and drop to one knee.

"I’ll give you a chance to say that again," Hawk Thompson said coldly.

Bella pushed through the pain and struggled to his feet, his whole body glowing red.

"I’ll... kill you!" Instead of backing down, Bella clenched his fists and charged at Hawk Thompson.

Hawk Thompson snorted lightly, waved his palm, and massive force sent Bella flying.

"You all saw it. He’s the one who showed disrespect first," Hawk Thompson said coldly.

He’d been worried about finding an excuse to get rid of Bella, but Bella had just delivered himself right into his hands.

I stepped in front of Bella, looking coldly at Hawk Thompson. "Bella’s right. This Water Tortoise inner core should be mine. Why are you giving it to Alberto Sean?"

Hawk Thompson snorted. "Since I control the distribution, I’ll give it to whoever I want."

Alberto Sean smiled faintly from the side. "Naturally, the stronger you are, the more you get. If I don’t get it, who should?"

"Oh?" I stepped forward when I heard this. Battle spirit surged through me as I sneered. "So you think you’re stronger than me?"

"What else?" Alberto Sean wouldn’t back down. His gaze met mine, and energy erupted from his body.

"Let’s find out!" I strode forward, my fighting spirit hitting its peak.

The sudden turn of events surprised everyone.

Hawk Thompson’s eyebrows pulled together, and he snorted coldly. "Low-level people just don’t understand the rules. Seems I need to teach you all a lesson, otherwise... you’ll never learn what obedience means."

With that, Hawk Thompson let out a roar, and the power of the bracelets burst forth again. This terrifying force wrapped around everyone, and all our faces changed drastically.

This time the power seemed even more vicious than before. Even I couldn’t handle it - I hit the ground hard.

Alberto Sean stepped forward and swung his fists, sending me flying.

I struggled to get up from the ground, about to move forward when Hawk Thompson suddenly cranked up the strength.

"Boom!"

For a moment, my entire mind took a massive hit, and I collapsed again.

Hawk Thompson looked at me coldly. "Do you understand your mistake now?"

"Go fuck yourself!" I gritted my teeth.

Even though I couldn’t get up, this still couldn’t break my stubborn will.

Hawk Thompson laughed coldly. "Your mouth’s still pretty tough. Fine, I’ll let everyone else share the punishment with you."

My face turned ugly as I looked at the others, seeing their pale faces, with some about to collapse.

"Mason, even if we die, we can’t bow to him!" Bella clenched his teeth.

But I was deeply worried. I could handle this force, but the others might get tortured to death by it.

At that thought, I couldn’t help clenching my teeth. I took a deep breath and said, "This inner core... you can have it."

Only then did Hawk Thompson nod with satisfaction, waving his hand and lifting the force from the crowd.

"Remember, what I say goes here," Hawk Thompson glanced at the crowd and spoke coldly.

My face turned ice cold. Though my heart burned with hatred, I had to endure it.

A few minutes later, Hawk Thompson finished handing out the inner cores. When it was my turn, Hawk Thompson deliberately threw the inner core on the ground and crushed it under his foot.

"Tsk, tsk, sorry about that. I accidentally crushed this inner core," Hawk Thompson said mockingly.

My face went cold, and murderous intent erupted instantly. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"What, you’re not convinced?" Hawk Thompson raised an eyebrow.

I gritted my teeth and said coldly, "Hawk Thompson, you’ll pay for this. Just wait."

Hearing these words, Hawk Thompson couldn’t help but laugh coldly. He leaned close to my ear and whispered, "First, think about how you’re getting out of here. Oh, and Mabel Sean is in quite a bit of pain in prison right now. She won’t die, but she’ll be tormented forever."

"Can you imagine the pain of having your regenerating blood stripped away? Tsk, tsk, you can’t even protect your beloved woman. What a loser."

"Go fuck yourself!" I couldn’t take it anymore. My golden fist erupted, and I threw a punch at Hawk Thompson.
