Chapter 552: Chapter 552 Striking At The Heart
Word traveled fast about Mason Raymond establishing a new sect!
Even though Mason wasn’t officially the sect leader, everyone viewed him as Green Moon Villa’s true commander.
Within Green Moon Villa’s walls, I found myself meeting with Ximena Santos and the others, while Green Moon Villa’s members had already assembled ahead of time.
Looking around, I was shocked to see fewer than ten people in Green Moon Villa.
"This is everyone?" I asked.
Ximena let out a heavy breath. "We’re lucky to have this many."
I gave a small nod, and suddenly Iceheart Lake crossed my mind.
"Patriarch Santos, I need to ask you something," I said.
"Can raw strength break open the barrier under Iceheart Lake?"
Though Ximena stayed cautious, she still shook her head. "It’s impossible."
"What about a Martial Marquis?" I pressed.
Ximena confirmed with a nod. "Yes, even a Martial Marquis couldn’t break it."
Hearing this, I couldn’t help but drink some water.
If that was true, I felt much better.
That afternoon, Ximena showed up at my room.
She asked with clear doubt, "Mr. Raymond, after you posted that message on the Martial Arts Forum, why hasn’t anyone shown up?"
I sipped my tea and smiled slightly. "Because I didn’t include an address, so naturally no one came."
Ximena looked stunned.
She wrinkled her brow. "No address? Then what was the point of posting it?"
I smirked. "I posted that message for the Great Saint Sect to see."
"The Great Saint Sect?" Ximena looked even more confused.
Wasn’t this just asking for trouble?
I didn’t bother explaining. I checked my watch and muttered, "It’s about time."
"Time for what?" Ximena asked, puzzled.
I looked at Ximena directly. "Patriarch Santos, get everyone together. We’re leaving this place."
"Leaving?" Ximena was totally lost.
I spoke seriously, "If I’m right, Atkinson Samson should be heading this way."
"Atkinson Samson? The Great Saint Sect’s leader?" Ximena gasped.
"Exactly." I nodded once.
"Take everyone and get out of Green Moon Villa right now. I’ll let you know when it’s safe to return," I said.
Ximena’s frown deepened, and she whispered, "But... I really don’t want to abandon this place. My father told me that he said..."
"Don’t worry, Green Moon Villa will be fine," I assured her.
"They’re only after Iceheart Lake. Since brute force won’t work, what’s there to fear?"
"Actually, if you stick around, you’ll end up losing Iceheart Lake anyway. Atkinson Samson will definitely use brutal methods to make you tell him how to open the barrier," I explained.
Ximena suddenly understood the situation.
She quickly nodded. "Mr. Raymond, you’re absolutely right. Then... where should we go?"
"Anywhere, just stay out of Green City," I said firmly.
"We’re running out of time. I won’t explain further - just move fast."
Seeing how urgent things were, Ximena didn’t dare argue and could only agree.
After getting everything sorted, I left Green City.
"Atkinson Samson, time for you to face the consequences," I said with ice in my voice.
My destination was the Great Saint Sect!
In the entire Great Saint Sect, only one person worried me - Atkinson Samson.
Once Atkinson Samson was gone, the Great Saint Sect would be nothing!
My reason for heading to the Great Saint Sect this time was their Spiritual Spring!
Word was that the Great Saint Sect built their power around the Spiritual Spring, and it had been flowing for countless years, serving as the Great Saint Sect’s lifeline.
I planned to drain the Spiritual Spring before Atkinson Samson could figure out what was happening!
"If everything works out, I should be able to break through to Military Marquis level," I thought to myself on the way to the Great Saint Sect.
Nearly five hours passed before I finally reached the Great Saint Sect’s entrance.
"Spiritual Spring... I’m coming for you," I sneered.
I walked boldly into the Great Saint Sect and headed straight for the Great Hall!
I used the Shrinking Ground Into An Inch technique, moving incredibly fast.
None of the Great Saint Sect members questioned who I was.
Because nobody could have imagined that I would actually do the opposite and voluntarily walk into the Great Saint Sect!
——
In the Great Hall, Kira Doris sat in Atkinson Samson’s chair, quietly drinking tea.
The feeling of being acting sect master thrilled him completely.
"Go refill my tea," Kira handed his cup to the servant girl next to him.
The servant girl didn’t dare object and quickly took the cup to get more water.
Right then, someone walked into the Great Hall.
As soon as he entered, he shut the iron door of the Great Hall.
Seeing this, Kira frowned and said, "Who are you? Why are you closing the door!"
——
I lifted my head and looked at Kira standing before me.
"Getting in here was simpler than I expected," I grinned.
When Kira got a clear look at my face, his expression completely changed!
"Mason... Mason Raymond!" Kira jumped up quickly, opening his mouth to yell.
But I moved faster than him, and in a flash, I was right in front of Kira.
I reached out and grabbed Kira’s throat, hoisting him up into the air.
Even though Kira was also a half-step Martial Marquis, he couldn’t fight back against me.
His eyes filled with terror, and his legs kicked frantically.
"If you want to live, keep quiet," I said coldly.
Kira rapidly blinked his eyes to show he understood.
I released Kira, then sat down directly in Atkinson Samson’s chair.
"Mason... Mason Raymond, what do... what do you want?" Kira asked in panic.
I glanced at him. "Kira, looks like you really love being sect master."
Kira’s face shifted, and he quickly shook his head. "Don’t say that! I’m devoted to Lord Samson!"
"Don’t worry about it," I waved my hand.
"If I could let you replace Atkinson Samson and become the next sect master, would you want that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
A hint of greed flickered across Kira’s face.
Though it passed quickly, it couldn’t escape my notice.
"I don’t want to be any sect master. Lord Samson is our leader!" Kira declared.
I sneered. "But what if Atkinson Samson dies?"
Kira jumped and hurriedly asked, "Is Lord Samson dead?"
"Not yet, but soon," I said casually.
"As long as you work with me, I promise to make you the next sect master. What do you say?" I offered.
Hearing this, intense greed flashed in Kira’s eyes!
I couldn’t help but sneer inside.
Back then, Atkinson Samson had used this exact strategy to destroy the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.
Now, I was going to use the same approach to tear down the Great Saint Sect!
"You... what do you need me to do?" Kira asked tentatively.
I said casually, "Just lead me to the Great Saint Sect’s Spiritual Spring and hide my identity."
