Chapter 546: Chapter 546 Shadows and Revelations

Faced with Mason’s question, Jerry Sean had clearly expected it.

So he had his answer ready like he’d planned it out.

"I don’t know much about your father, but I do know he’s someone incredibly powerful," Jerry Sean said.

"Someone incredibly powerful?" I looked at Jerry Sean.

"Could he possibly be even stronger than the Sean family?"

Jerry Sean smiled bitterly. "The Sean family means nothing to him."

"To him, money doesn’t matter. Forget our little Sean family - with his power, he can negotiate with entire countries."

I had to take a deep breath.

How powerful would someone have to be to negotiate with countries as just one person?

"Being his son, I believe you have just as much potential," Jerry Sean said.

"When that time comes, forget the little Capital City Martial Arts Association - even the government will have to respect you."

This level of power seemed way out of reach to me. Even a Martial Saint couldn’t pull that off.

"Where did my father go then? Why have I never seen him?" I asked quickly.

Jerry Sean shook his head, a hint of longing in his eyes. "Mr. Raymond is like a dragon in the clouds - not someone we can track."

This was the first time I’d seen such a respectful look on Jerry Sean’s face!

This was enough to show just how important my father was.

I stayed quiet for a moment, looked at Jerry Sean, and said, "This means the Capital City Martial Arts Association must have discovered something."

"Exactly," Jerry Sean nodded.

"Mason, before you reach the Marquis level, try to avoid fighting the Capital City Martial Arts Association head-on."

I took a deep breath. "Mr. Sean, I understand."

That night, I got ready.

The next day, I left the Divine Alchemist Pavilion to head out on my own.

——

Meanwhile, the Capital City Martial Arts Association called another meeting.

This meeting wasn’t just targeting Mason anymore, but both Mason and Mabel Sean!

Looking around, there were only four people in the huge meeting room, including Phoebe Billy.

But there were more than four people at this meeting!

They were hiding in the shadows - you could hear them but not see them.

"After our investigation, everything matches what we expected," a cold voice came from the darkness.

"Today we looked into Mason, who’s most likely connected to that person, and his body type is chaotic," another voice rang out.

"The Sean family princess, Mabel Sean, has a special bloodline that’s beyond what we understand."

"According to old records, that kind of bloodline and Mason’s chaotic body are natural matches. Once they combine, they’d be unbeatable."

Phoebe Billy was completely shocked!

Right then, he realized that even though he was Vice President, he knew nothing compared to these higher-ups.

"Yes, we plan to use Mabel’s bloodline. If it works, Mabel will become the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s most valuable treasure!" Another voice echoed from the dark.

Phoebe Billy immediately stood up and said anxiously, "But... Miss Sean is the Sean family princess. If we hold her without good reason, will the Sean family agree?"

The room went quiet for a moment before someone replied, "Tell Logan Sean we’ll guarantee Mabel’s safety and give the Sean family certain benefits."

"Yes, if Duane Sean were still alive, it might be a little tricky. As for Logan Sean... doesn’t matter, a little advantage will be enough."

Seeing this, Phoebe Billy didn’t say anything more.

"Then... what about Mason?" Phoebe suddenly thought of something.

"Kill him," came one word from the darkness.

Hearing this, Phoebe finally felt relieved.

Who would have thought the fight between Mason and Vance Johansson would cause such complications?

Not just that, the situation in Capital City seemed to be quietly changing too.

Many of the hidden high-level fighters in Pyro were slowly coming out into the open.

——

The next day.

I said goodbye to the Pavilion Master and left the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

I headed northwest, walking on foot, working on my inner state of mind the whole time.

——

Soon after Mason left the Divine Alchemist Pavilion, Atkinson Samson heard about it.

His face turned cold as soon as he put down his phone.

"From today on, Kira Doris will run the Great Saint Sect temporarily," Atkinson Samson said coldly.

"Master, where are you going?" the old man called Kira Doris asked quickly.

A chilling killing intent flashed across Atkinson Samson’s face as he stated coldly, "To kill someone!"

——

Green City, deep in the northwest.

The city lived up to its name - everything was green.

Unlike the barren surrounding cities, everything here was lush and green, like a forest.

Since it was deep in the northwest, most residents had left Green City to settle in bigger cities.

This left Green City with few people, but surprisingly many sects.

"While all the surrounding cities are deserts, this Green City is completely green," I said to myself, stroking my chin.

I released my divine sense, trying to feel the atmosphere of Green City.

"Hm?" Quickly, I sensed something was wrong.

In the northwest corner direction, there was a mysterious qi fluctuating.

This qi kept appearing and disappearing. It wasn’t particularly strong, but it was far away.

I didn’t waste time and headed straight for the northwest corner.

When I reached the northwest corner, I saw a giant stone, as big as a city gate.

A few black cars were parked near this gate-like stone.

I looked up at the huge stone, which had a few big characters written on it: Chilton Tower.

"What a stupid name," I couldn’t help commenting.

I tried sensing the qi and sure enough, traces of qi were coming from this Chilton Tower.

I thought for a moment and then walked in confidently.

Inside Chilton Tower was a large fenced area, as big as a typical rich family’s manor.

I followed the qi, walking in a certain direction.

Soon, I saw a large lake come into view.

I bent down, scooping up some clear water with my hand.

After taking a sip, I detected a strange taste in the water.

"The lake water has qi, but it tastes weird, not like the Water Dragon Cave," I muttered.

This feeling... it was like the qi had been watered down countless times.

I casually picked up a big stone and threw it into the lake.

I took another sip of the lake water, only to find the taste was different this time.

Compared to the first scoop, the qi in the lake water this time seemed a bit stronger.

"This is weird," I said, puzzled.

I looked around and saw a small entrance at the edge of the lake.

The water in the lake seemed to be flowing in from this entrance.
