Chapter 514: Chapter 514 What Was Hidden Below

Dazzling golden beams fired straight at the stone tablet!

"What the hell are you doing?!" The mustached guy suddenly got worked up.

He tried to stop it but was way too late.

The massive power made the tablet wobble a bit! But it stayed in one piece!

"Damn thing’s tough as nails." I couldn’t help but mutter.

The mustached man let out a relieved breath. Slapping his chest, he said, "Buddy, you can’t go wild like that. The treasure’s not stashed here."

I looked at the mustached guy and asked, "If it’s not here, then where?"

"Obviously somewhere close by! Anyone can see you’re green at this!" the mustached man grumbled.

He drew a circle on the tablet and said, "Who’d carve the treasure’s hiding spot right on a tablet? That’s like announcing where you buried your gold!"

"You’ve got a point!"

After the mustached man’s tip, I snapped out of it.

So the real Dragon Vein treasure wasn’t the herbs under this stone tablet?!

If that was true, there was still more loot to find in the Dragon Vein!

"Buddy, you really can’t yank this thing out." The mustached man pulled out his gear while bitching.

Had to admit, the mustached guy’s toolkit was pretty complete; whatever you could think of, he basically had it.

"Why are you so scared of pulling out this tablet?" I asked, confused.

The mustached man shot me a look and said, "I came here to hunt treasure, not to get myself killed! What if there’s some nasty crap underneath? That’d be asking for it!"

I thought it over, and he had a point.

If the treasure buried under the tablet wasn’t the real deal, no point taking the risk.

But for me, dark energy wasn’t forbidden - it was actually sacred for my training.

So I ignored the mustached man and built up my power before throwing another punch!

"Boom!"

Under this hit, the stone tablet finally started to give way.

"Oh man, buddy, why are you so pigheaded?!" The mustached man jumped aside while whining.

I laughed, "Don’t sweat it, if there’s any nasty stuff, I’ll keep you safe."

The mustached man muttered, "Keep me safe? I’m worried there might be some nascent soul-stage beast down there..."

As he talked, I punched again.

After three straight punches, the stone tablet couldn’t take the beating anymore and cracked.

"Crack!"

With a sharp sound, the stone tablet split apart!

Another massive hole appeared in front of me right then.

Compared to the Dragon Vein’s huge pit, this one looked pretty shabby.

No herbs, definitely no training techniques.

At first glance, there was a pitch-black mirror inside, two bronze plates, and a green hairpin.

Seeing this, the mustached man rushed over.

He stroked his mustache, his eyes lit up as he checked out these items non-stop.

I didn’t rush to grab stuff, but politely said, "Buddy, which one catches your eye?"

A sly gleam flashed in the mustached man’s eyes.

He coughed and said, "To be honest, I dig that hairpin. Think you’d let me have it?"

"Sure thing, the hairpin’s yours." I waved my hand, and without thinking twice, I scooped up the pitch-black mirror and bronze plates.

The mustached man couldn’t help but gawk.

His eyes were glued to the pitch-black bronze mirror.

"What’s up?" I laughed.

The mustached man mumbled, "You’re so generous. The hairpin’s a treasure, don’t you want it?"

"Nah, nah, nah, how could I steal what someone else loves?" I chuckled.

The mustached guy couldn’t help but sigh toward the sky, "The best con is being genuine..."

Seeing his heartbroken look, I laughed and said, "Buddy, could that pitch-black bronze mirror be a treasure?"

Mentioning the bronze mirror, the mustached man’s mouth twitched without control.

Then, he glared and said, "From now on, don’t say the words ’bronze mirror’!"

I secretly celebrated inside, seemed like I’d guessed right.

This bronze mirror was the real treasure.

"This little trinket is nothing. When The Master gets serious, you’ll see what a real treasure looks like." The mustached man licked his lips and said.

He pulled out his own tools and started messing around on the ground. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Had to say, this mustached guy was legit professional.

He walked around the area several times, holding a shovel and mumbling to himself.

I stood to the side and quietly waited.

Though the mustached man seemed nuts, he was actually skilled, and I trusted his abilities.

Just then, there was suddenly movement in the huge pit.

In seconds, cold dark energy started pouring out from inside the pit!

For a moment, the surrounding temperature suddenly plummeted!

Endless dark energy instantly flooded the entire canyon!

"What intense dark energy!" I couldn’t help but take a deep breath when I saw this.

Not far away, the mustached man pulled out a peach wood sword and said nervously, "Demons and ghosts, The Master’s not scared of you!"

I didn’t pay attention to him; there was excitement in my eyes.

I hadn’t expected that near the Dragon Vein, there’d be such a yin pit hidden!

Such thick dark energy was an incredibly powerful tonic for me!

"If Lord Pavilion Master can forcibly hold back his realm, so can I." I thought to myself.

So I didn’t waste time and immediately sat down cross-legged.

"Buddy, I’ll leave the treasure hunting to you; I’ll wait for you." I said with a smile.

The mustached man grumbled, "I’m doing all the work. You better give me more treasure later."

"Don’t worry, don’t worry." I laughed.

After that, I didn’t waste any more time.

With my eyes slightly closed, all the pores on my body opened, and I started absorbing the surrounding dark energy.

"Chaotic body?"

Watching this scene, the usually playful mustached man suddenly frowned.

He stared at me for a moment, but ultimately didn’t say anything.

——

Just as dark energy erupted from the pit, the pit above the Dragon Vein also began to show changes.

The qi, which balanced the dark energy, broke the equilibrium at this moment!

An endless amount of qi burst forth from this pit!

"What rich qi!" Dahlia Sean exclaimed excitedly.

All the members of the Capital City Martial Arts Association noticed the qi in the pit at this moment!

"This trip was worth it; it really is a Dragon Vein!"

Though they didn’t know what had happened, this was a perfect opportunity to cultivate!

For a time, Dahlia Sean and the others sat down cross-legged one after another to cultivate in seclusion!

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, three days passed.

What was unexpected was that the speed at which more than ten members of the Capital City Martial Arts Association absorbed qi together was actually slower than Mason Raymond’s single absorption of dark energy!

In just three days, the dark energy in the canyon had been completely absorbed by Mason Raymond!

However, above the Dragon Vein, there was still an abundance of qi!
