Chapter 51: Chapter 51 - Undeniable Skill

Carter Hill stood there stunned, tapping his ear as if unable to believe the words coming from Woods Walters’ mouth.

"Woods Walters, what the fuck are you talking about?" Before Carter could speak, Harvey Brown cursed first.

Woods laughed, grabbing a nearby stool and hurling it directly at Harvey’s head.

"What do you count for, daring to yell at me?" Woods glared at Harvey and spat out the words.

Everyone’s faces turned sour as they sensed something was wrong. Wasn’t Carter supposed to be the favored one? But judging from Woods’s attitude, that didn’t seem to be the case at all.

Carter’s expression hardened as he took a deep breath. "Woods Walters, I’ll settle the score with you later! Get that old Chinese doctor out here, now!"

Woods snorted dismissively, ignoring Carter completely. He scurried over to me with a broad smile and said, "Mr. Raymond, they’re calling for you."

Though his voice wasn’t loud, it reached everyone’s ears clearly.

"Woods Walters, what do you mean?" Harvey couldn’t help but shout.

"Get the old Chinese doctor out here. What are you doing bringing that useless guy over?"

"Yeah, are you messing with us?"

"Our time is precious. Can you afford to waste it?"

Woods sneered at them. "Is your brain not working, or are your ears malfunctioning? Mr. Raymond is the old Chinese doctor. Is it that hard to understand?"

"How is that possible?!" Harvey shouted in disbelief.

"Mason Raymond is just a useless nobody. When did he become an old Chinese doctor? What a joke," Lyla Lucas sneered.

The room erupted in chaos. It was evident that nobody believed I was the old Chinese doctor they’d been waiting for.

I slowly stood up and strode onto the stage.

"Victor Green!" I called out.

"Yes, Mr. Raymond," Victor nodded immediately.

He approached me carrying a large sack, then dumped its contents onto the ground. One after another, Soul Nourishment Pills spilled out, creating a small pile.

At a glance, there were at least hundreds of Soul Nourishment Pills scattered on the floor!

Everyone present couldn’t help but gasp in shock.

Although the Soul Nourishment Pill had recently caused a massive stir in River City, they were extremely scarce. Many wealthy individuals were willing to spend millions just to acquire one pill.

So many Soul Nourishment Pills—their worth was incalculable!

"Heh, you brought a pile of ordinary pills and claim they’re Soul Nourishment Pills?" Carter Hill sneered.

His comment quickly sparked reactions from the crowd.

"Yeah, how do we know if these are really Soul Nourishment Pills?"

"Who doesn’t know you’re just a freeloader? When did you become a Chinese doctor..."

"Trying to scam us with Woods Walters? In River City, we’re the ones who scam people, not you!"

Hearing their comments, my eyes narrowed slightly.

Just then, an elderly man with white hair rushed onto the stage.

"Quick, stop him!" Woods shouted urgently.

"Wait!" I raised my hand to halt them.

The old man hurried over and carefully examined one of the Soul Nourishment Pills.

"It’s Mr. Drake!" Someone recognized the old man.

"It’s really Mr. Drake, the number one authority in River City’s Chinese medicine world!"

"Didn’t expect Mr. Drake to come too—perfect timing! Let Mr. Drake check these for us!" The crowd shouted together.

The old man they called Mr. Drake carefully observed the pill, growing increasingly excited until his entire body began to tremble.

"Soul Nourishment Pill... It really is a Soul Nourishment Pill!" Mr. Drake exclaimed, his voice quivering.

Then he turned to look at me, saying with excitement, "Young man, is this pill really made by you?"

I politely helped steady Mr. Drake as I replied, "Yes, Mr. Drake, this pill is indeed my creation."

Upon hearing this, without another word, Mr. Drake knelt on the ground before me.

"I’ve studied Chinese medicine for decades and have never seen such a miraculous pill! Please, accept my bow!" he said passionately.

Seeing this, I hurriedly reached out to help him up.

"Senior, please get up quickly. I don’t deserve such respect!" I said nervously.

Mr. Drake shook his head firmly. "Age doesn’t determine everything. Since your skill surpasses mine, you’re qualified to accept my bow!"

Hearing this, I was filled with admiration for Mr. Drake. Nowadays, too many people rely on their age to dominate others. People with Mr. Drake’s mindset were truly rare!

This scene left the people below the stage shocked and speechless.

"Even Mr. Drake says so, the Soul Nourishment Pill must be real..." Someone whispered.

"I never expected Mason Raymond to be the old Chinese doctor..."

"So young yet so skilled, no wonder he’s favored by the Sean family..."

"Mr. Raymond, can you sell me the recipe for the Soul Nourishment Pill? I’m willing to offer ten million!" Someone shouted, being the first to react.

"I’ll offer one hundred million!"

"I’m willing to pay for exclusive agency rights!"

Businessmen below the stage began outbidding each other frantically.

Carter Hill’s face darkened considerably, and those who could have curried favor with the Hill family were now filled with extreme regret.
