Chapter 488: Chapter 488 A New Power Awakens

Fifth Elder kept tracking the time.

He understood clearly that if these pill masters actually departed, the Divine Alchemist Pavilion would face complete dissolution.

This represented the Pavilion Master’s life’s work!

So Fifth Elder preferred to shoulder the disgrace and detain these pill masters here!

"You handled this well," the First Elder gave Fifth Elder’s shoulder a pat.

Fifth Elder stayed quiet.

While both held elder positions, the First Elder served as the Law Enforcement Elder, wielding authority that Fifth Elder couldn’t challenge.

Though the pill masters were momentarily pacified, they hadn’t genuinely accepted the First Elder’s leadership.

On top of the Pavilion Master Building.

The First Elder bounded up in a single leap.

He settled into the seat the Pavilion Master once used, stroking the vine chair gently, his expression revealing deep contentment.

"So this is what commanding the Pavilion feels like?" The First Elder relaxed in the rocking chair, gazing toward the horizon with detachment.

From this vantage point, all of River Town spread out below!

This sense of supreme authority made the First Elder momentarily lose himself.

After lingering there extensively, the First Elder rose and departed.

He made his way to a side chamber of the Divine Alchemist Pavilion. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

This location served as the Pavilion’s detention area, though now it housed the imprisoned Second Elder.

"Still refusing to see reason?" The First Elder observed the bloodied Second Elder with cold indifference.

Second Elder fixed him with a fierce stare, snarling through clenched teeth, "You backstabber, you’re no human being, you’re an animal!"

"The Pavilion Master placed such faith in you, yet you pulled off this betrayal, you’ll meet a terrible end!"

First Elder showed no anger; he chuckled softly and replied, "Finn Darby belongs to the past. Starting today, I rule the Medicine God Pavilion."

"Are you putting yourself through all this for someone who’s already history? Does it make sense?"

Second Elder responded with a bitter laugh, "Don’t get too cocky! Mason Raymond will emerge soon!"

"When he does, you’re finished!"

The First Elder roared with laughter, "You think he frightens me? He’s just a pampered nobody, how could he match me?"

Second Elder ground his teeth and declared, "Once Mason Raymond reaches the half-step Martial Marquis level, you’re doomed!"

"Is that so? I’m eager to see it happen," First Elder replied with a wicked grin.

"I’ll grant you another night to reconsider. If you remain defiant, don’t expect me to show mercy!"

Having delivered this warning, the First Elder spun around and exited.

During recent days, the First Elder had attempted to force open the warehouse entrance, but unfortunately, his efforts had failed.

In frustration, he considered requesting assistance.

Initially, he planned to approach the Great Saint Sect for help, but then realized—weren’t there ten half-step Martial Marquis practitioners stationed near the Divine Alchemist Pavilion?

With them present, Mason Raymond would surely perish!

Therefore, the First Elder immediately contacted the half-step Martial Marquis from the Michelle Sect, and both parties swiftly established an alliance!

The moment Mason Raymond appeared, the ten half-step Martial Marquis would storm into the Divine Alchemist Pavilion and destroy Mason Raymond!

Time crawled by slowly, the formerly magnificent Divine Alchemist Pavilion now appearing somewhat deteriorated.

The Pavilion Master’s situation at the Great Saint Sect had grown even more dire.

Having gone days without a drop of water, her lips had turned pale.

"Finn Darby, if you’re prepared to plead with me, I might offer you another opportunity," Atkinson Samson announced from the prison entrance, his tone emotionless.

Finn Darby looked at Atkinson Samson and responded flatly, "Atkinson Samson, you appear to have forgotten how you once dropped to your knees before me, pleading for your life."

As she continued, Finn Darby paused and smiled faintly, "Why won’t you personally assault the Divine Alchemist Pavilion? Could it be that you still can’t overcome your past trauma, even now?"

When this subject arose, Atkinson Samson’ expression darkened.

Just as Finn Darby suggested, despite achieving the half-step Martial Marquis level today, he harbored an unexplainable dread when confronting Finn Darby.

"Finn Darby, don’t assume I truly lack the courage to end your life!" Atkinson Samson stated icily.

"If you possessed the nerve, you would have acted already," the Pavilion Master responded with a gentle smile. "As long as you eliminate me, nobody will discover that the Great Saint Sect’s leader once knelt before a woman, sobbing and begging for compassion."

Atkinson Samson’s complexion immediately turned an extreme shade of dark green, with veins protruding on his forehead!

"True, I don’t dare kill you, but I can still make you suffer!" Atkinson Samson snarled through gritted teeth.

With a thrust of Atkinson Samson’s finger, multiple beams of light penetrated the Pavilion Master’s form.

Instantly, the Pavilion Master’s strength drained away, collapsing to the floor, unable to budge.

"I’ll make you endure disgrace gradually!" Atkinson Samson sneered.

"You claimed you would preserve your purity for that person forever, correct? Today, I’ll introduce you to worldly pleasures!"

Upon hearing this, terror finally flickered across the Pavilion Master’s features.

She attempted to speak, but couldn’t produce a single sound.

Atkinson Samson turned and departed the cell.

He faced Elder Adrianne waiting outside and declared coldly, "I’m entrusting Finn Darby to you. Just keep her breathing. Do whatever you wish with her."

Elder Adrianne’s eyes brightened, and he responded excitedly, "Sect master, do you mean it?"

"What do you believe?" Atkinson Samson replied with a stern expression.

Elder Adrianne immediately cheered with delight, "Thank you, sect master!"

After delivering this message, Elder Adrianne rushed inside eagerly.

Beyond the door, Atkinson Samson’s face looked extremely grim.

He and Finn Darby had been adversaries for years, but because the Medicine God Pavilion Master held such elevated social standing, Atkinson Samson had found no chance for revenge.

This time, he had finally captured the opportunity.

Inside the cell, Elder Adrianne ran excitedly toward the Pavilion Master.

All men possess a drive to dominate, and Elder Adrianne proved no different.

Confronting such a formidable woman like the Pavilion Master, the twisted satisfaction in his heart nearly overwhelmed him.

"Medicine God Pavilion Master... here I come!" Elder Adrianne shouted, then lunged toward the Pavilion Master.

Right then, the cell door exploded open.

Three men dressed in suits and leather shoes marched inside.

Elder Adrianne scowled and demanded, "Who are you?"

The others replied coldly, "Capital City Martial Arts Association representatives. We’re retrieving Finn Darby."

Elder Adrianne looked stunned, then said somewhat reluctantly, "Could... could you hold on a moment? Let me complete what I started first...."

"Do you wish to die?" The three men immediately responded icily.

Elder Adrianne’s expression shifted.

Though unwilling internally, he could only move aside.

——

Divine Alchemist Pavilion, storage room.

My crystal-clear body slowly started to solidify.

Streams of light approached from every direction, ultimately flowing into my form.

Right now, my dantian also began transforming.

My spiritual energy multiplied exponentially in this moment!

My flesh became wrapped in layer after layer of golden radiance.

Golden light continuously expanded across my body.

One layer, two layers, three layers... totaling one hundred and eight layers!

Beneath the coverage of over one hundred layers of golden light, my flesh appeared gold-plated, gleaming in the shadows!

"Buzz!"

My body’s light erupted from within, and shortly, my form slowly reverted to its normal state.

In that same instant, my eyes finally opened!

I slowly rose, squeezed my fist tight, and tremendous power surged forward!
