Chapter 486: Chapter 486 Her Last Desperate Gambit

The man’s aura remained steady, yet it was obvious he had reached the half-step Martial Marquis level as well!

"Who are you?" Elder Adrianne’s brow creased.

Without a word, the man kept his hands clasped behind him and spoke casually, "I simply dislike the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion and chose to lend a hand. None of you mind, right?"

"Absolutely not!" A wave of satisfaction washed over Elder Adrianne.

They had no clue about the man’s identity, but anyone opposing the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion was their ally.

"Still planning to fight back stubbornly? Eight half-step Martial Marquises stand before you now!" Skyler Howe’s voice turned icy.

"You should take pride in forcing eight half-step Martial Marquises to join forces." Walton Greer’s smile carried a hint of mockery.

The Pavilion Master remained silent. Her answer came in the form of a fierce palm strike!

"Hmph, seeking death!"

All eight attackers launched their assault together!

Brilliant flashes of light cut through the darkness!

The Pavilion Master struggled against their combined offensive. Her body kept sliding backward, and blood spilled from her mouth.

"Don’t forget, we need her breathing!" Elder Adrianne’s tone was harsh.

"Use the technique in unison and drag her away!"

The Great Saint Sect members shared knowing looks. They launched themselves skyward, positioning themselves at five distinct points!

"Clatter, clatter!"

As their techniques activated, chains erupted from their chests!

This was the Great Saint Sect’s signature formation, known as the Divine-locking Formation!

Five chains coiled around the Pavilion Master’s arms, legs, and slender neck!

Elder Adrianne and the others channeled their Inner Strength, causing the chains to expand several meters thick!

"Surrender. The Divine-locking Formation leaves you powerless to fight back!" Skyler Howe bellowed.

Yet the Pavilion Master wouldn’t submit so easily. Her form shifted, making the five chains ring out loudly!

"This is bad!"

The Pavilion Master’s overwhelming presence made the five half-step Martial Marquises lose their footing, their bodies rocking unsteadily!

"Walton, why are you just standing there?" Elder Adrianne called out desperately!

Walton moved forward.

He positioned himself before the Pavilion Master and spoke calmly, "Hand over Mason Raymond, and the antidote can still be yours."

While speaking, Walton glanced at Elder Adrianne and the others floating above, then chuckled, "Once your power returns, these small fry won’t matter."

But the Pavilion Master responded coldly, "How many times must I say the same thing?"

Walton’s expression darkened, and he huffed, "Then you can’t blame me for what happens next!"

A long sword materialized in his grasp! Walton’s hand shot out, driving the blade deep into the Pavilion Master’s stomach!

"Puff!"

The severely wounded Pavilion Master finally reached her limit.

Blood poured from her mouth, her complexion turned ghostly white, and her aura seemed to fade completely.

The chains slowly settled into stillness.

Elder Adrianne and his airborne companions finally allowed themselves to relax.

"Damn, she fights like a madwoman." Skyler Howe wiped sweat from his brow, his composure cracking.

Eight half-step Martial Marquises had pushed themselves to their limits just to capture the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion.

"Now we handle Mason Raymond." Elder Adrianne’s voice carried menace.

Walton’s smile was slight as he said, "Mason Raymond belongs to me; his death will be by my hand."

"Have it your way." Elder Adrianne replied without emotion.

Walton then approached the warehouse.

At the warehouse entrance, Walton sneered, "Mason Raymond, people like you have no place in this world."

"Want to reach the half-step Martial Marquis realm? Too bad you’ll never get the opportunity!"

With those words, devastating power gathered in Walton’s palm, slamming violently against the door!

"Boom!"

The thunderous crash shook the ground, its echo carrying across half of River Town!

Yet the warehouse door stayed perfectly intact.

Walton’s forehead wrinkled as he wondered, "How is this possible?"

He gathered his Qi Jin once more and hammered the door with tremendous force!

Still, the door showed no sign of damage! Its durability went beyond anything they could have imagined!

"What, can’t even handle a door?" Elder Adrianne mocked.

His form blurred as he appeared at the door. He unleashed his technique and struck hard!

The outcome remained unchanged; the door wouldn’t budge.

Whatever powerful techniques they employed, the door remained completely unmoved!

"This can’t be happening..." Frustration showed on everyone’s faces!

They understood they were half-step Martial Marquises!

If news spread that eight half-step Martial Marquises couldn’t break down a door, they’d become the joke of the martial world.

"What’s the explanation for this?" Walton questioned coldly in his thoughts.

"The Lord of Medicine God Pavilion established a Forbidden Power... This Forbidden Power employs Taoist methods, channeling the forces of heaven and earth. Your current strength cannot break through it..." The raspy voice resonated in Walton’s head.

Walton’s brow furrowed, "Is there truly no solution?"

"Hehe... there is... allow me to attempt it, there might be a possibility..." The raspy voice continued.

Walton’s face immediately hardened.

He stared coldly at the First Elder and demanded, "So what’s the method to open this door?"

"How would I understand the Lord Pavilion Master’s techniques?" The First Elder snapped back.

"Fine." Elder Adrianne waved his hand at this point.

He looked at the unconscious Pavilion Master and sneered, "With the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion as our prisoner, why should we worry about opening this door?"

"Bring her to the Great Saint Sect first, then we’ll question her properly."

Though Walton felt some reluctance, no alternatives existed for now.

...

The group departed from the Medicine God Pavilion.

Atop the Pavilion, the Second Elder’s face had turned ashen.

"Lord Pavilion Master..." He dropped to his knees, tears of anguish flowing down his cheeks.

After some time passed, the Second Elder dried his tears and rose from the ground.

"The Lord Pavilion Master mentioned that once Mason Raymond emerges, things will turn around." The Second Elder looked toward the warehouse.

The Pavilion Master had already foreseen her capture and made arrangements beforehand.

"Mason, you must hurry, you must hurry..." The Second Elder wiped away his tears.
