Chapter 482: Chapter 482 Bringing Down The Pavilion

As he spoke, the First Elder worked to keep his composure steady.

At first look, nothing seemed suspicious.

Since the First Elder was the Pavilion Master’s most trusted ally, she gave a small nod and lifted the porridge bowl.

Her crimson lips touched the bowl’s edge softly.

The First Elder’s face tensed with worry.

Only after the Pavilion Master finished drinking the porridge slowly did the First Elder exhale with relief.

"Please get proper rest, Lord Pavilion Master," the First Elder said, collecting the bowl with a respectful bow.

The Pavilion Master offered little response, simply nodding once.

She raised a newspaper, scanning through its contents.

Without delay, the First Elder grabbed the bowl and quickly leaped down.

All day long, the First Elder felt restless.

Based on Elder Adrianne’s explanation, the Spirit Severing Pill wouldn’t show clear signs after consumption.

The loss of Inner Strength would only become apparent when attempting to use one’s abilities.

So the First Elder stayed put.

That same evening.

Another late hour arrived.

The First Elder slipped away from the Divine Alchemist Pavilion in secret.

He reached the street’s far end and quickly climbed into a waiting vehicle.

"Well? Did you pull it off?" Elder Adrianne questioned.

The First Elder gave a nod. "It’s finished."

Elder Adrianne lifted an eyebrow. "You wouldn’t lie to us, would you?"

At these words, fury flickered across the First Elder’s expression.

He spoke with ice in his voice, "Trust those you employ, employ those you trust. If you doubt me, act like I never showed up!"

Skyler Howe, seated beside him, rushed to defuse the tension with a grin. "First Elder, no need for anger. Don’t stoop to his level. We have complete faith in you." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The First Elder gave a cold snort, eyeing Skyler Howe. "Don’t forget your promise to me."

Skyler Howe answered with a thin smile. "The Great Saint Sect, Capital City Martial Arts Association, and Capital City’s major noble families all want the Divine Alchemist Pavilion under our control."

"You’re part of our group now."

At this, the First Elder nodded slightly before stepping out of the car.

The moment he departed, Skyler Howe’s expression turned dark.

"We strike tomorrow! Bring down the Divine Alchemist Pavilion!" Skyler Howe declared coldly.

...

The following morning arrived.

Everything appeared routine at the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

Nobody realized that catastrophe was creeping closer.

At midday, with the sun blazing overhead,

during what should have been a peaceful lunch break, the Divine Alchemist Pavilion welcomed some unexpected visitors.

The Pavilion Master reclined in her rocking chair, preparing for an afternoon rest.

Right then, her eyes snapped open.

"Company’s arriving," the Pavilion Master muttered with furrowed brows.

In the next moment, she appeared to descend from the tower like a heavenly figure.

At the Divine Alchemist Pavilion’s courtyard,

Elder Adrianne, Skyler Howe, and their companions stood waiting patiently.

"So you haven’t abandoned your plans?" Upon seeing these individuals, the Pavilion Master’s gaze sharpened.

Skyler Howe stepped ahead and smirked. "Medicine God Pavilion Master, surrender now and maybe you’ll endure less pain."

The Pavilion Master arched her brows. "With just you lot?"

"Exactly, just us!" Skyler Howe sneered.

Their energy burst forth suddenly.

The intense pressure created powerful wind gusts instantly!

This marked the Great Saint Sect’s second assault on the Divine Alchemist Pavilion! Their boldness had clearly grown since their last attempt.

"Lord Pavilion Master!"

The First Elder and Second Elder rushed forward urgently.

The Second Elder glared at the group and shouted, "You shameless bunch really believe our Divine Alchemist Pavilion is defenseless!"

"Ha!" Skyler Howe exploded with laughter.

"You Divine Alchemist Pavilion people act so superior, believing you’re beyond everyone else, showing no respect for authority! You’ve annoyed me for ages!" Skyler Howe bellowed!

Energy swirled around his hands!

Soon, two dragon heads materialized over his fists!

This was Skyler Howe’s signature technique, the Azure Flame Dragon Fist!

Years ago, Skyler Howe used this move to climb into the Great Saint Sect’s leadership!

"Medicine God Pavilion Master, here’s your final opportunity - will you surrender?" Skyler Howe roared.

The Pavilion Master replied coolly, "Enough talk."

"Very well!"

Skyler Howe released a battle cry, his energy erupting!

Then Skyler Howe charged forward, launching his attack on the Pavilion Master!

The massive fist projection, accompanied by thundering Dragon Chants, crashed toward the Pavilion Master!

The devastating punch force generated fierce windstorms!

The fist winds whipped the Pavilion Master’s long hair, yet her face remained emotionless.

"Perish!"

Skyler Howe roared furiously, driving his fist brutally toward the Pavilion Master!

Calmly, the Pavilion Master’s palm glowed with light as she countered directly!

"Bang!"

Upon contact, energy waves rippled outward in every direction from their clash!

Momentarily, the Divine Alchemist Pavilion shook violently, and nearby buildings crumbled like a catastrophe zone!

Their palm and fist remained locked in combat.

"What?"

The Pavilion Master’s brows creased slightly.

She distinctly sensed that her Inner Strength seemed greatly diminished.

Otherwise, that single palm strike should have launched Skyler Howe into the air!

"You weren’t completely weakened?" Witnessing this, Skyler Howe’s expression shifted too, and he instinctively glanced at the First Elder!

For a moment, tension filled the air.

Skyler Howe quickly backed away two steps and stared coldly at the First Elder.

"No surprise there – even after being hit by the Spirit Severing Pill, the world’s top alchemist still possesses such strength."

At this point, a voice emerged from a concealed spot.

Looking over, they watched Walton Greer approach slowly.

"Spirit Severing Pill?" The Pavilion Master’s brows knitted together.

Walton Greer sneered. "Correct! This Spirit Severing Pill comes from an ancient formula created centuries ago! Once you consume the Spirit Severing Pill, you become powerless!"

After saying this, Walton Greer paused, then sighed. "You’re the first person who hasn’t been completely neutralized, but... remaining unaffected is impossible!"

"If my assessment is accurate, your current power is less than half your peak strength!" His tone shifting, Walton Greer laughed coldly.

The Pavilion Master remained silent.

Exactly as Walton Greer predicted, after consuming the Spirit Severing Pill, the Pavilion Master’s abilities were truly compromised, leaving her with only thirty percent of her maximum strength!

Otherwise, even if this entire group attacked simultaneously, they couldn’t possibly match the Pavilion Master!

"Lord Pavilion Master!" The Second Elder rushed forward, appearing somewhat alarmed.

"Are you okay?" the Second Elder asked with concern.

The Pavilion Master stayed quiet. Her naturally stern face had grown even more frigid.

"Lord Pavilion Master, if you consent to surrender Mason Raymond, I might consider providing you with the cure," Walton Greer suddenly announced.
