Chapter 476: Chapter 476 Backup Is Unnecessary
Elder Adrianne’s eyes narrowed sharply, his face twisting with rage!
His stare locked onto the Pavilion Master, anger blazing in his chest.
*Elder Adrianne understood the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion was tough to handle, but he never anticipated such blatant dismissal!*
"You dare stand against our Great Saint Sect?" Elder Adrianne snarled icily.
The Pavilion Master glanced his way and answered coolly, "You honestly believe your Great Saint Sect rules supreme in this world?"
"You!" Elder Adrianne almost choked on his fury.
Deadly intent leaked from Elder Adrianne’s frame, filling the space with threatening energy.
"What, planning to strike within my Divine Alchemist Pavilion?" The Pavilion Master’s eyes became slits.
Elder Adrianne roared, "I’ll discover what makes your Divine Alchemist Pavilion so special!"
His words barely finished before Elder Adrianne thrust his blazing palm forward, launching a vicious attack at the Pavilion Master!
Completely calm, the Pavilion Master raised her graceful hand and smoothly countered his assault.
"Bang!"
A thunderous blast shook the Great Hall!
Elder Adrianne staggered back multiple steps before crashing to the floor.
"Pffft!"
Blood erupted from his lips!
"Barging into my Divine Alchemist Pavilion making demands—what gives you the right?" The Pavilion Master’s presence turned frigid, chilling the entire room.
*Beaten and humiliated, Elder Adrianne’s expression turned pitch black.*
*Despite the quick exchange, the gap between their abilities was crystal clear.*
"Excellent, excellent!" Elder Adrianne struggled upright.
"I’ll inform our Sect Master right away!"
The Pavilion Master stated flatly, "Escort him out."
Multiple Law Enforcement Elders moved forward immediately, eyeing Elder Adrianne like predators.
Elder Adrianne, despite his rage and resentment, didn’t dare cause more trouble.
He snorted coldly and stormed off.
Once outside the Divine Alchemist Pavilion, Elder Adrianne spat up more blood.
"Elder Adrianne, are you hurt?" The Great Saint Sect disciples hurried over, panicked.
Cleaning blood from his lips, Elder Adrianne answered coldly, "The Pavilion Master of Medicine God Pavilion... truly earned her fame."
"Elder Adrianne, it’s wise to inform the Sect Master and let him deal with this," someone advised.
Elder Adrianne sneered, "If Divine Alchemist Pavilion wants to dig in their heels, we’ll test their resolve!"
Right then, as Elder Adrianne prepared to depart, he detected several strange auras approaching.
"Hmm?"
Sensing these powerful, crushing presences, Elder Adrianne’s forehead creased deeply.
"Elder Adrianne, what’s happening?" a companion asked frantically.
Eyes narrowing, Elder Adrianne laughed coldly, "Maybe we won’t need to act—the Michelle Sect just showed up."
——
Inside the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.
I sat restlessly in my Elder’s quarters.
*I couldn’t shake my anxiety about the Pavilion Master’s encounter with Elder Adrianne.*
*What if this brought disaster to the whole Divine Alchemist Pavilion? Then I’d be the one to blame for everything.*
"Master Raymond, the Pavilion Master sent your evening meal."
Two servants entered carrying dinner.
I jumped up quickly, asking anxiously, "How’s the Pavilion Master doing?"
The servants looked at each other before answering, "The Pavilion Master is resting upstairs. Master Raymond, something troubling you?"
I paused briefly and asked hesitantly, "She... wasn’t injured, was she?"
"Haha!"
Both servants started laughing at that.
While arranging the table, one said, "We’ve served the Pavilion Master for years and never seen her get hurt. Master Raymond, you should eat before it gets cold."
I breathed deeply and nodded, "That’s reassuring, that’s reassuring."
*Though I hadn’t fully understood the Pavilion Master’s power, her seeming invincibility put me at ease.*
*Now that I’d reached Peak Form Grandmaster, my enemies kept getting stronger, which worried me constantly.*
After wolfing down dinner, I rubbed my belly contentedly.
My eyes wandered toward the warehouse, excitement flickering in them.
"Master Raymond, it’s been ages."
The Fifth Elder walked into the room just then.
Spotting the Fifth Elder, I immediately got up and bowed respectfully, "Greetings, Fifth Elder."
The Fifth Elder joked with a chuckle, "Since your rank’s higher than mine now, shouldn’t I be bowing to you?"
I smiled awkwardly, "Fifth Elder, please don’t tease me."
The Fifth Elder laughed loudly before turning serious, "Let’s talk business, Mason—the Michelle Sect arrived."
"Already!" I shot up, worry covering my face.
"Ten half-step Martial Marquis?" I frowned.
The Fifth Elder nodded and confirmed, "Right, they’ve got the Divine Alchemist Pavilion surrounded."
My expression darkened further.
*Ten half-step Martial Marquis?*
*Even the Pavilion Master... could she handle them all?*
"I have to break through to half-step Martial Marquis fast!" I gripped my fists urgently.
*If Ambassador Adrianne’s talks failed, who would defend the Pavilion Master?*
*Once I hit half-step Martial Marquis, those ten half-steps wouldn’t pose any threat!*
"Don’t stress about it," the Fifth Elder said, waving dismissively.
"The Pavilion Master will handle your situation; focus on reaching half-step Martial Marquis now."
I nodded, "Got it. I’m ready for the Pavilion Master’s instructions."
"Let’s go," the Fifth Elder said, smiling.
I looked puzzled and asked, "Where are we heading?"
The Fifth Elder grinned, "The Pavilion Master’s waiting at the warehouse entrance."
Eagerly, I said, "Then let’s move!"
We left my Elder’s quarters and walked toward the Divine Alchemist Pavilion’s most secretive warehouse.
The Pavilion Master stood quietly by the entrance, waiting.
"Lord Pavilion Master." The Fifth Elder approached and bowed slightly.
The Pavilion Master nodded briefly, then looked at me.
"Mason, you can stay inside one month maximum," the Pavilion Master stated.
I nodded determinedly, "One month’s plenty!"
"After one month, whether you’ve achieved half-step Martial Marquis or not, you must exit immediately. Clear?" The Pavilion Master added.
"Yes, Lord Pavilion Master," I replied, bowing slightly.
"Go in." The Pavilion Master lifted her hand gently, making the warehouse door start opening.
As the door creaked apart, sweet medicinal scents drifted out.
I took a deep breath, then walked into the warehouse with firm resolve.
The door gradually shut behind me.
——
With another graceful gesture, soft light covered the door.
*This was Forbidden Power; without the Pavilion Master’s permission, nobody could enter.*
*Similar to Walton Greer’s technique, but the Pavilion Master’s methods were much more sophisticated.*
"Lord Pavilion Master," after Mason disappeared inside, the Fifth Elder addressed her.
The Pavilion Master nodded slightly and said, "Let’s meet them."
The Fifth Elder frowned, "That’s ten half-step Martial Marquis. Should we alert the Law Enforcement Elders?"
"Unnecessary," the Pavilion Master said, waving her hand.
