Chapter 474: Chapter 474 Death At The Doorstep

Watching the Hydrating Tower crumble, Elder Adrianne’s anxiety spiked instantly!

"Mason Raymond, f*ck your mother!" Elder Adrianne’s eyes narrowed as he spat the curse!

Brilliant light exploded from his hand, shooting straight at me!

I clenched my fist and charged forward to meet it.

"Boom!"

The thunderous crash sent me stumbling back several steps. A muffled groan escaped my lips as blood trickled from the corner of my mouth.

Elder Adrianne was a half-step Martial Marquis after all, and my current state wasn’t great, so naturally I was outmatched.

"I’ll kill you!" Elder Adrianne bellowed like a madman.

I couldn’t afford to waste another second. Quickly activating the Shrinking Ground Into An Inch technique, I dashed into the wreckage and reached the first floor of the Hydrating Tower.

The entire environment had transformed!

The beautiful scenery from before had vanished, replaced by muddy terrain everywhere.

The Guardian had also disappeared completely.

"Just as I thought." My heart leaped with joy!

My gamble had paid off!

This Hydrating Tower was indeed the Array Eyes!

I rushed to the Three Pure Ancient Tree, pulled it up, and shoved it into my Spatial Magic Artifact.

"You can’t get away! I’ll kill you!" Elder Adrianne’s voice echoed from outside.

My expression darkened as I muttered, "I need to find an escape route first."

With that thought, I gathered my breath, triggered the Shrinking Ground Into An Inch technique once more, and took off!

"Think you can run? In your dreams!" Elder Adrianne watched me speed away, his face stone cold.

He took a step and gave chase immediately.

But how could my Shrinking Ground Into An Inch technique match Elder Adrianne’s speed?

The gap between us grew wider and wider. In under five minutes, I had vanished completely from Elder Adrianne’s view.

——

Elder Adrianne stood there panting, his face frozen with rage.

His subordinates caught up quickly.

"Elder Adrianne, what’s our next move?" one of them asked.

A vicious glint flashed in Elder Adrianne’s weathered eyes.

His gaze sharpened as he said coldly, "I will definitely kill him! Head to the airport! I refuse to believe he can escape to the ends of the earth!"

——

I only dared to stop after fleeing dozens of miles away.

My spiritual power was completely drained, and I collapsed on the ground, totally spent.

The Shrinking Ground Into An Inch technique consumed too much energy - I couldn’t keep it up for long.

"I need to get out of Summers first." I took a deep breath.

I quickly flagged down a car and rushed to the airport.

During the ride, I cautiously sent a message to the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion.

"Lord Pavilion Master, I’m in deep trouble. I’ve made enemies of both Great Saint Sect and Michelle Sect. Can I find refuge at the Divine Alchemist Pavilion?" I asked carefully.

After all, both the Great Saint Sect and Michelle Sect were powerful forces. I wasn’t sure if the Divine Alchemist Pavilion could handle them.

The Pavilion Master’s reply came quickly with just one word: "okay."

Though it was simple, that single word brought me tremendous relief.

"I’m causing trouble for the Divine Alchemist Pavilion again." I smiled bitterly to myself.

I wasn’t entirely clear about the Divine Alchemist Pavilion’s strength, only that they had incredibly strong connections.

But whether they could handle the current conflict was anyone’s guess.

At the airport, I bought the fastest ticket to River Town.

——

Less than five minutes after Mason Raymond boarded his plane, Elder Adrianne and his men arrived at the airport.

With the Great Saint Sect’s connections, tracking someone down wasn’t difficult. Elder Adrianne quickly discovered Mason Raymond’s destination.

"River Town?" Elder Adrianne’s eyes narrowed.

"He’s heading to the Divine Alchemist Pavilion," the person beside him said quietly.

Elder Adrianne snorted coldly, "So what if it’s the Divine Alchemist Pavilion? Anyone who opposes my Great Saint Sect has only one fate - death!"

Elder Adrianne then bought a plane ticket, heading straight for River Town!

——

On the plane, I finally got some rest.

"That was way too close," I remarked.

Fortunately, I managed to get the Three Pure Ancient Tree, so the trip wasn’t wasted.

"With the Three Pure Ancient Tree and herbs from the Divine Alchemist Pavilion, breaking through to half-step Martial Marquis shouldn’t be too hard," I thought.

Thinking about this, I couldn’t help but smile.

With that satisfied grin on my face, I quickly drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up again, I had already reached the airport.

I wasted no time, hailing a taxi and heading straight for the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

——

Mason and Elder Adrianne arrived one after the other, their arrival times separated by less than half an hour.

"Elder Adrianne, approaching the Divine Alchemist Pavilion is a serious matter. Shouldn’t we... notify the sect master first?" someone beside him suggested.

Elder Adrianne snorted coldly, "No need. If they refuse to show respect, it won’t be too late to contact the sect master then."

——

Once again, I found myself back at the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

Standing at the entrance of the Divine Alchemist Pavilion, I couldn’t help but take a deep breath of the rich medicinal fragrance that welcomed me.

"Master Raymond!"

Seeing me, numerous alchemists stepped forward to greet me.

"Master Raymond, you’re back!"

"Master Raymond, stories about you have been circulating nonstop since you left. You’re incredible!"

"Master Raymond..."

Surrounded by the crowd, I was treated like some kind of idol and role model.

I responded politely to each of them, and after a while, the crowd dispersed.

I made my way to the Pavilion Master Building.

Just as I opened my mouth to call out, an attendant’s voice came from above: "Master Raymond, please come up. The Pavilion Master has been waiting for you for quite some time."

Hearing this, I couldn’t help but scratch my head sheepishly.

With a single leap, I jumped onto the balcony above.

The Pavilion Master sat there, sipping black tea.

"Lord Pavilion Master," I approached and bowed slightly.

The Pavilion Master gestured toward the chair with her chin, "Sit."

I quickly took the seat across from the Pavilion Master.

Neither of us spoke, and the atmosphere grew a bit tense for a moment.

After a while, I broke the silence, "Lord Pavilion Master, I... I’d like to borrow some herbs from the Divine Alchemist Pavilion... I promise I’ll return them as soon as possible!"

The Pavilion Master glanced at me and said indifferently, "Regular herbs won’t do you any good now."

I replied with a bitter smile, "Yeah, I don’t know why, but my dantian needs an incredibly large amount of qi."

The Pavilion Master slowly stood up and said softly, "If you want to boost your strength quickly, there’s only one method."

I looked up at the Pavilion Master eagerly, my eyes full of anticipation.

The Pavilion Master raised her finger, pointing at the warehouse in the distance.

"That place might be what you need," the Pavilion Master said indifferently.

Hearing this, my eyes widened suddenly!

The warehouse?

Everyone knew that all the herbs in the Divine Alchemist Pavilion came from that warehouse. The concentration of qi inside that warehouse was unimaginable!
