Chapter 469: Chapter 469 A Lesson in Power

The intel Walton Greer had shared was definitely crucial.

But Elder Adrianne wasn’t some idiot. As a top dog in the Great Saint Sect, he moved carefully.

"Why are you spilling all this to me?" Elder Adrianne asked, eyes narrowing.

Walton Greer shrugged. "You don’t need to know. Don’t believe me? Pretend I never said anything."

With that, Walton Greer started walking away.

"Walton Greer!" Elder Adrianne suddenly bellowed.

His voice turned ice-cold. "Think just because you hit half-step Martial Marquis, you can mess with the Great Saint Sect?"

Walton Greer spun around, grinning. "Of course not. I know the Great Saint Sect’s the biggest sect up north, with a real Martial Marquis. I’m not that stupid."

"But..." He looked around. "Elder Adrianne, you’re not a Martial Marquis, are you? We’re both half-step Martial Marquis. I’m not scared of you."

Walton Greer scanned the area again. "And looks like nobody here can give me trouble."

Elder Adrianne’s face went darker. He glared at Walton Greer. "Don’t get too cocky, kid!"

Elder Adrianne swung his palm, sending vicious Inner Strength flying at Walton Greer!

Walton Greer didn’t flinch. He snorted and threw his hand up to block it!

"Boom!"

The whole Great Hall shook with the explosion!

Elder Adrianne’s attack got wiped out instantly!

Walton Greer smirked. "Elder Adrianne, you can’t beat me."

Elder Adrianne’s voice stayed cold. "Pride comes before the fall, kid!"

"I don’t think so," Walton Greer said flatly.

Back then, cocky Walton Greer had wanted to start his own sect, planning to rival or even crush the Great Saint Sect.

Even after losing to Mason Raymond, his ambition hadn’t died.

But Elder Adrianne chuckled. He put his hands behind his back and spoke slowly. "Think just because the Martial Marquis isn’t here, you can run wild in the Great Saint Sect?"

Walton Greer stayed quiet, not agreeing or disagreeing.

"Let me show you why the Great Saint Sect stays number one in the North!" Elder Adrianne roared, and suddenly light blazed from every corner of the Great Hall!

Intense aura poured out from each corner!

Weapons hung in all four corners of the Great Hall!

"Hum!"

As the weapons’ pressure hit, Walton Greer felt crushing weight and "plop," dropped to his knees!

He tried fighting back, but the force was too strong!

"It’s a Martial Marquis Weapon, stop resisting..." a raspy voice echoed in Walton Greer’s head.

The Martial Marquis Weapon, even just being a Martial Marquis’s weapon, held a bit of the Martial Marquis’s presence!

No half-step Martial Marquis could match that.

"Argh!!"

The pressure got worse, like Walton Greer’s body would get crushed!

"Elder...Elder Adrianne, I...I messed up..." Walton Greer screamed desperately.

Elder Adrianne waved his hand, and the lights started dimming.

"Walton Greer, you get the gap between us now?" Elder Adrianne said coldly.

Walton Greer didn’t dare answer.

He knew there was a huge difference between half-step Martial Marquis and full Martial Marquis. But he never thought a simple Martial Marquis Weapon could pin him down.

If Elder Adrianne wanted him dead, this Martial Marquis Weapon could kill him easily!

That’s how cultivation worked.

The higher you climbed, the bigger the gaps got.

If some genius grandmaster had crazy talent, maybe he could beat other grandmasters.

But nobody had ever heard of a grandmaster beating a half-step Martial Marquis.

And now, a Martial Marquis Weapon could crush a half-step Martial Marquis without breaking a sweat. The gap was obvious.

"Elder Adrianne, I admit I was stupid..." Walton Greer bowed his proud head.

Elder Adrianne snorted lightly. "Talk. What’s this treasure you mentioned?"

Walton Greer gritted his teeth and spilled everything.

After hearing it, Elder Adrianne’s eyes lit up with interest.

"You telling the truth?" Excitement crept into Elder Adrianne’s stare.

"Absolutely!" Walton Greer insisted.

Elder Adrianne went quiet for a moment, then ordered, "Get Franklin Duarte to prep the team and head to Summers now."

"Yes." His guys quickly agreed.

A cold gleam flashed in Walton Greer’s eyes.

"Since I can’t have the Hydrating Tower, Mason Raymond, neither can you!" Walton Greer sneered to himself.

——

Right then, I was on a flight to Summers.

During the flight, I pulled out my phone and texted the Lord of Medicine God Pavilion.

"Lord Pavilion Master, I need a ton of herbs urgently. Think you could help me figure something out?" I wrote.

Soon, the Pavilion Master replied - super short, just a simple "okay".

Getting the Pavilion Master’s agreement, I felt relieved.

The plane cut through the sky.

About three hours later, we finally touched down in Summers.

Not wasting time, I grabbed a taxi and headed straight to the Ebony Family Manor.

The Ebony Family Manor was empty now.

When I got there, the place was already trashed.

"This huge piece of land would be perfect for starting a sect," I thought as I looked over the massive manor grounds.

With the Hydrating Tower, I shouldn’t have trouble building a strong sect.

Then I walked toward the Hydrating Tower.

——

Below the Hydrating Tower, a line of Grandmasters stood guard.

Inside the Hydrating Tower, a Peak Form Grandmaster was carefully checking his surroundings.

This guy was Franklin Duarte from the Great Saint Sect.

"Exactly like Walton Greer said," Franklin Duarte’s gaze got excited.

"No wonder Walton Greer and Mason Raymond got stronger so fast. If I was in this Hydrating Tower, I’d be just as good as them!" Franklin Duarte started getting a big head.

He immediately grabbed his phone and called Elder Adrianne.

"Elder Adrianne, everything’s just like Walton Greer said," Franklin Duarte said excitedly.

Elder Adrianne answered, "Good. Guard the Hydrating Tower, I’ll get there ASAP!"

"Yes!" Franklin Duarte yelled back.

After hanging up, Franklin Duarte eagerly sat down cross-legged.

This great chance shouldn’t go to waste.

——

Below the Hydrating Tower, I looked at the row of Grandmasters, frowning a bit. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Stop!" One of them yelled loudly.

"Our Great Saint Sect claimed this place. Get lost!"

"Great Saint Sect?" I frowned.

The sect they said was the biggest in the North?

"Damn it, they found out about the Hydrating Tower," my brow creased deep.

No, I had to hurry and discover the Hydrating Tower’s secrets. Otherwise, the Great Saint Sect would definitely steal it!

Thinking this, I slapped one guy’s head to pieces.
