Chapter 449: Chapter 449 The Top Organization

Ten half-step Martial Marquis warriors, each with different backgrounds, headed out for Pyro!

This was probably the biggest operation the Michelle Sect had ever pulled off!

Nobody knew why the Michelle Sect would throw this much muscle around, and people couldn’t stop talking about it.

Some folks figured the Michelle Sect wanted to flex on the world.

Others thought the Michelle Sect was way too impressed with Mason Raymond’s potential.

And some people just called the whole thing fake news.

Only the Michelle Sect knew the real deal.

They understood exactly what it meant when a chaotic body reached full power.

——

The next morning rolled around.

I left Sea City Airport with Zendaya Andrew, getting ready to fly to Summers.

Summers sat way out east in Pyro, miles from Sea City.

The place was packed with thick forests and ancient mountains - perfect for training. Tons of martial arts masters had gone into hiding there over the years.

On the plane, I looked over at Zendaya Andrew passed out beside me and let out a quiet sigh.

"Zendaya, never thought you’d mess up like this." I shook my head, feeling helpless.

That weird chant Walton Greer had used was seriously strange - like it could mess with the spirit core inside someone’s body.

But for whatever reason, the thing hadn’t done jack to me.

There were way too many fighting styles out there, with crazy new techniques popping up all the time.

One wrong move and you could end up totally screwed.

The plane finally touched down in Summers that afternoon.

Soon as I stepped off, I couldn’t help taking a deep breath.

That fresh mountain air always got to me.

After that, I grabbed a taxi straight to the Ebony family place!

Being the big shot of Summers, pretty much everyone there knew Joey Ebony.

"Joey Ebony’s a real legend around these parts!" The driver started going on about him the second I mentioned the name.

"Started out doing construction work, then somehow got into martial arts. Guy’s supposed to be pretty tough."

I asked casually, "How loaded is this Joey Ebony?"

The driver leaned in like he had some secret. "Word is he’s worth 10 billion just from what people can see! Plus he’s got dozens of guys working for him at his place!"

Those "guys" the driver meant were probably just the Ebony family servants.

Soon enough, we pulled up to this massive estate.

"That’s the Ebony place right there." The driver pointed at the property.

I got out and just stared at the huge estate, totally blown away.

Because this place was insane! Calling it an estate was selling it short - it was like a whole damn forest!

They’d basically fenced off an entire mountain and made it their private playground!

Had to be at least dozens of mansions scattered around the property, each one more over-the-top than the last.

Every style you could think of - they had it all!

"This Joey Ebony really knows how to blow money." I couldn’t help saying.

That 10 billion figure was probably way low.

I didn’t waste any more time. I picked up Zendaya Andrew and headed for the Ebony family estate.

At the front gate, everything felt serious and formal. Two huge stone slabs had countless names carved into them.

Just as I was about to call out, I picked up on something weird in the air.

"Someone tailing me?" I raised an eyebrow.

In the darkness, I could sense two faint presences.

Even though they’d tried to hide using some special tricks, they couldn’t get past my divine sense.

"Two Grandmasters?" I raised my eyebrows a bit, then smirked.

——

In the shadows, two Grandmasters dressed in black kept their eyes on Mason Raymond.

"Call Mr. Billy right now - tell him Mason Raymond just got to Summers," one of them said.

The other guy nodded and pulled out his phone to make the call, but suddenly realized Mason had vanished!

"Where the hell did he go?!" Both of them jumped up and started looking everywhere for Mason.

But the whole forest had gone quiet - not a trace of anyone.

"Shit, we lost him!"

"Mr. Billy is gonna be pissed. Quick, find him!"

"You guys looking for me?"

As they looked up, they suddenly felt cold air hitting them from behind!

They spun around and saw Mason Raymond grinning at them.

"How’d you figure out we were here!" One of the Grandmasters yelled.

I sneered. "With amateur moves like that, you thought you could tail someone? Go home and practice more."

Both of them looked insulted, their faces going ugly.

"Tell me - who sent you?" I asked, not really caring.

Instead of lying, they answered all proud, "We’re from the Capital City Martial Arts Association!"

"Capital City Martial Arts Association?" My eyebrows went up.

That actually caught me off guard.

"Why are you following me? What’s your deal?" I kept asking.

"Ha, we from the Capital City Martial Arts Association have the right to keep tabs on any martial artist!" the other one said casually.

I narrowed my eyes and sneered. "You don’t have any authority! What the hell does the Capital City Martial Arts Association even do?"

Both their faces changed, and they shouted angrily, "Mason Raymond, you better watch what you’re saying!"

"Our Capital City Martial Arts Association is the top organization for all martial artists! The one with the most power!"

"Bullshit!" I cursed them out without holding back.

"What top organization? Don’t think I don’t know what kind of shady crap you’re mixed up in."

When it came to Martial Arts Associations, I hated them with everything I had.

From what I’d seen, all Martial Arts Associations pulled dirty moves.

Especially after the Capital City Martial Arts Association had tried to trash my reputation on that Martial Arts Forum.

An organization like that thinks it deserves to be called the top?

"You’re just some civilian group trying to pretend you’re official?" I laughed in their faces.

"People only respect you because they choose to. Without that respect, what are you?"

I left both of them speechless, their faces burning red.

"Tell me why you followed me. If you can’t give me a straight answer today, I’ll kill you two cocky bastards." I said coldly. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Their expressions changed and they shouted in shock, "You wouldn’t dare! Nobody messes with Martial Arts Association people!"

"Oh really?" I chuckled and immediately slapped one of them!

The slap made the Grandmaster’s mouth bleed and his face puff up.

"You... You actually hit me!"

"Not only do I hit you, I’ll kill you too." I said coldly.

Now they were both totally scared, and started making excuses. "Vice President Billy sent us here, but we don’t know exactly why."

"Vice President Billy? Phoebe Billy?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah... yeah." They answered.

My brow wrinkled up.

Wasn’t this Phoebe Billy supposed to be Vance Johansson’s master? Why would he send people to track me?

"Can we leave now?" They asked nervously.

I glanced at them and waved my hand. "Get lost, but I’m warning you - if you follow me again, I won’t think twice about killing you."

They didn’t dare say another word, just nodded over and over, then turned and ran off.

I stood on the mountain rock, not moving for a long time.

Even though I didn’t know what Phoebe Billy was really up to, I knew deep down that Billy was bad news.

"Whatever, forget about him. Once I hit half-step Martial Marquis level, who gives a damn about Phoebe Billy?" I muttered quietly.
