Chapter 438: Chapter 438 A Rival And An Enemy
Is this young guy the famous Walton Greer from the Central Plains?
The one who’s always been ranked above me in the Potential Ranking?
"Mr. Raymond, what’s wrong?" Zendaya Andrew asked, playing dumb.
Walton Greer walked up and shook my hand. "Mr. Raymond, I’ve heard so much about you."
"Same here." I replied coolly.
I studied Walton Greer standing before me.
The guy seemed pretty mild-mannered, no hint of cockiness about him.
He had this refreshing vibe at first look.
His energy was hidden too, and even my sharp spiritual sense couldn’t figure out his real power level.
"Mr. Raymond is all over the Martial Arts Forum, and I’ve been wanting to meet you, but never got the chance," Walton Greer went on.
I didn’t want to get tangled up with Walton Greer.
If treasure really showed up on Brightheart Island, we’d definitely be competing.
"You’re being too nice, Mr. Greer." I said casually.
Walton Greer gave a small bow and said, "Mr. Raymond, I won’t keep you any longer. See you on the ship."
After saying that, he turned and headed toward the boat.
Zendaya Andrew gave me a playful wink.
Watching Walton Greer walk away, I didn’t spot anything weird about him.
"What’s this guy’s real strength, and why is he so famous?" I frowned a bit.
Before I saw the Potential Ranking, I’d never heard of this man.
"Jerry Sean, you ever hear of the Hill Family from Central Plains?" I asked.
"Nope, never heard of them." Jerry Sean shook his head.
Since Jerry Sean had never heard of them, it was clear the Hill Family wasn’t among the top families in Central Plains.
Otherwise, Jerry Sean would definitely know about them.
While I was thinking this over, Kamden Nick was already rushing over from the distance.
"Mason Raymond, how come I keep running into you everywhere?" Kamden Nick brought his crew of five and stood in front of me.
I looked at them and smirked. "I was gonna ask you the same thing."
Kamden Nick said with a grin, "Mason Raymond, must be tough living with a busted dantian, right? I heard you’re completely useless now?"
"Actually, being ordinary isn’t bad - at least no one’s hunting you down. You should thank me for that." Kamden Nick mocked.
I nodded slightly and said, "I’ll think about your advice."
Kamden Nick clearly didn’t take this seriously and quickly looked over at Jerry Sean.
"You, come with me." Kamden Nick said arrogantly.
Jerry Sean frowned and said coldly, "Do I know you?"
"You don’t need to know me. Mr. Sean wants to see you." Kamden Nick said with a superior attitude.
"Just as I thought." I frowned when I heard this.
Sure enough, Kamden Nick was sent by Logan Sean.
"You talking about Logan Sean?" Jerry Sean’s expression turned ugly.
"How dare you say our Mr. Sean’s name directly!" Kamden Nick yelled.
Jerry Sean’s face looked even worse.
Of course, he knew what Logan Sean was after.
But no matter how hard he tried, Jerry Sean couldn’t understand why father and son had become enemies.
"Do I need to do this myself?" Kamden Nick said coldly.
As he spoke, his people quickly moved forward, ready to fight.
Right then, I stepped in front of Jerry Sean.
"Get lost," I said coldly.
Kamden Nick said coldly, "Mason Raymond, I’m not here for you today, but if you’re dying to get killed, I’ll help you out."
"You can try," I replied coldly.
"Anyone else not on board? Hurry up, we’re about to leave!" Suddenly, someone shouted from behind.
I glanced at Jerry Sean and said, "You should get on the boat first."
"Okay, be careful," Jerry Sean said seriously.
After that, he walked toward the boat.
Kamden Nick was about to go after him, but I blocked him like a solid wall.
"Mason Raymond, don’t cause trouble for yourself!" Kamden Nick said coldly.
I sneered, "Go back and tell Logan Sean to grow a conscience."
After saying that, I turned and walked to the boat.
Kamden Nick narrowed his eyes and snorted, "Stupid fool."
"Mr. Nick, what do we do now?" The people around him asked.
Kamden Nick said coldly, "Get on the boat."
After that, Kamden Nick walked toward the boat with big steps.
"Stop."
But as soon as they reached the entrance, they were stopped.
"This boat is for VIPs only. No invitation, no entry." The staff member checking tickets said without emotion.
Kamden Nick’s face turned cold, and he snapped, "You looking to die?"
"Oh." The staff member nodded, then yelled to the side, "Someone’s trying to force their way onto the yacht!"
With that loud shout, several police officers ran over immediately.
"Sir, don’t cause trouble." The officer looked coldly at Kamden Nick.
Kamden Nick frowned and took a deep breath. "I’m with the Sean Family from the Capital City."
"Doesn’t matter who you’re with." These were regular cops who had no clue about the Sean Family.
Kamden Nick was pissed but didn’t dare make a scene.
Even though he was at Peak Grandmaster level, nobody dared to openly challenge the authorities.
"Fine, fine." Kamden Nick gritted his teeth.
He stared at the yacht and said coldly, "I’ll wait here. I don’t believe you won’t get off!"
——
On the boat.
I made it to the deck.
Jerry Sean was waiting there.
Seeing me, Jerry Sean couldn’t help but say coldly, "I didn’t expect Logan Sean to come after me."
I spread my hands. "Jerry Sean, like you said, you only attract attention when you’re a big enough threat."
Hearing my words, Jerry Sean suddenly got it.
"Jerry Sean, don’t stress about it too much. I’ll handle those guys," I reassured him.
Jerry Sean nodded, not saying anything else.
This luxury yacht had everything.
Bars, restaurants, movie theaters, libraries...
Even small casinos, auction houses, and more.
Such fancy stuff made me realize how much poverty limits your imagination.
Jerry Sean’s goal for this trip was networking, so he wouldn’t waste this chance and headed straight to the cocktail party hall.
Worried something might happen to Jerry Sean, I could only stick close behind him.
We found a quiet spot to sit, and a waiter nearby came over with a tray of drinks.
I randomly grabbed a glass of wine and slowly tasted it.
"Mr. Raymond has good taste."
Right then, Zendaya Andrew and Walton Greer walked over from nearby and sat directly across from me.
