Chapter 42: Chapter 42 - Buried Secrets

Harvey Brown stared blankly at the ripped-off car door, gulping uncontrollably.

"Is this guy even human? He actually ripped off the car door?" he thought.

While he remained frozen in shock, I reached in and pulled him out.

"E-Mason, don’t fool around, I was just joking with you..." Harvey chuckled awkwardly.

He had witnessed me breaking Xavier Hill’s arm with his own eyes!

Seeing his sheepish demeanor, I smirked and said, "I won’t make it too hard for you. A slap on the face is a lesson."

With that, I swung my hand across Harvey’s face.

Even though I held back my strength, the slap still left half of Harvey’s face swollen.

"Move the car quickly," I said coldly.

Though Harvey was seething inside, he didn’t dare say much, painfully suppressing his anger as he moved the car aside.

After I left, Harvey cursed furiously, "What’s he pretending for? If Mabel Sean leaves River City, let’s see how many people will come after you!"

He sighed and muttered, "When is Mabel Sean finally going to leave..."

Despite her recent low profile, Mabel Sean was like a mountain weighing on everyone’s heart.

Even the Hill family didn’t dare make a move.

The car headed straight for the Williams Family residence.

As the wealthiest family in River City, the Petersons naturally lived in luxury.

But as soon as I stepped through the gate of the Williams Family, I felt a bone-chilling coldness.

"Hmm?" I frowned slightly.

The entire Williams household seemed to be shrouded in a foreboding aura.

"Mr. Raymond, what’s wrong?" Theo Williams asked.

I shook my head and said, "Nothing."

Once the car was parked, the two of us walked into the living room.

"Mr. Raymond, please wait a moment, I’ll go call my father," Theo said politely.

He instructed a servant to pour me a glass of water, then hurried upstairs.

A few minutes later, Theo and his father, Alec Williams, came downstairs.

Accompanying them was an elderly man with a white beard.

"Mr. Raymond," Alec Williams quickly approached and shook my hand.

I observed Alec, my brow furrowing slightly.

Alec’s face was pallid, his lips were purple, and his yintang was dark, his condition seemed poor.

Most importantly, I could barely sense any yang energy from him.

"Mr. Williams, are you feeling unwell?" I asked casually.

Alec sighed and said with a wry smile, "Yes, indeed, troubles never come singly."

"Dad, Mr. Raymond is also a doctor. You can let him take a look," Theo quickly suggested.

Alec waved his hand and said, "I’m not suffering from an illness..."

He then added, somewhat apologetically, "Mr. Raymond, if you’re not busy, could you wait for a moment?"

I nodded and said, "It’s fine, take your time."

"Thank you," Alec nodded quickly.

Then he looked at the elderly man beside him, saying, "Mr. Clive, I’ll rely on you."

The one called Mr. Clive smiled faintly and said, "Don’t worry, I have found the root of the problem."

Alec was instantly overjoyed and said, "Please, Mr. Clive, enlighten us!"

Mr. Clive said calmly, "Your recent health issues, despite many doctors being consulted with no improvement, are due to feng shui."

"Mr. Williams, go to the west wall in your bedroom and check for any sharp objects," Mr. Clive continued.

Alec hurried off in the direction Mr. Clive had pointed out, not daring to neglect the matter.

A few minutes later, Alec returned with a broken vase in hand.

"There really was something! This vase has been in the cabinet forever, and somehow it just broke," Alec said, somewhat stunned.

Mr. Clive chuckled, saying, "This is the crux of the issue. In feng shui, this is called ’Dui Palace has residual artifacts,’ which is a major taboo."

Alec clasped Mr. Clive’s hand in excitement and said, "Thank you, Mr. Clive, you truly are a master of feng shui!"

Mr. Clive handed Alec a string of Five Emperors Coins and said with a smile, "Hang this in the Dui Palace location we just discussed. Remember, take it down and bury it after three days, and I guarantee your health will be fine."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Clive! Thank you, Mr. Clive!" Alec’s face was filled with excitement.

"I don’t think that’s the crux of the problem." At this moment, I suddenly spoke up.

My words immediately created an awkward atmosphere.

Mr. Clive’s face darkened, clearly displeased with my interruption.

"Mr. Raymond, Mr. Clive is a renowned feng shui master in River City. What he says can’t be wrong," Alec quickly interjected to smooth things over.

I stood up and said, "Mr. Clive, I mean no disrespect, but... this vase is certainly not the key issue."

Mr. Clive looked annoyed and retorted, "Who are you?"

"Mr. Clive, this is Mason Raymond, one of Miss Sean’s people," Alec quickly explained.

Nonetheless, Mr. Clive wasn’t inclined to show any face. He coldly said, "No matter who he is, he shouldn’t spout nonsense!"

I shook my head helplessly and said, "Mr. Clive, I’m truly not speaking nonsense. What I’m saying is true."

Alec, too, was slightly displeased but restrained himself as he needed my help.

"Mr. Raymond, you’re not familiar with feng shui. On this matter, Mr. Clive is the true master," Alec tried to maintain a polite tone.

Mr. Clive waved his hand dismissively, staring coldly at me and said, "You claim this vase isn’t the root issue, then I want to hear your great thoughts!"

I didn’t hold back. I pointed to the courtyard outside and said, "The real problem is in the yard."

With that, I stood up and walked straight into the yard.

Mr. Clive snorted lightly and immediately followed me.

"What’s up with this Mason?" Alec frowned and said.

Theo offered a wry smile, "Dad, maybe Mr. Raymond really knows something..."

"What nonsense! There’s no one omnipotent in this world!" Alec snorted coldly.

Despite his words, he still followed them outside.

I stopped in the center of the courtyard.

I looked up at the sky, then stomped on the ground a couple of times and said, "The problem is right here."

Upon hearing this, Mr. Clive sneered, "Young man, do you even understand feng shui? What problem could possibly be here?"

"I indeed don’t understand feng shui," I replied with a smile.

"But I understand the arcane arts."

With that, I looked at Alec and said, "Mr. Williams, have someone dig from here downwards."

Alec said awkwardly, "Mr. Raymond, I don’t think that’s necessary?"

"Dig. I won’t deceive you," I said with a smile.

Alec had no choice but to wave his hand and call over a few people.

"So... how many feet deep should we dig?" Alec asked tentatively.

I shook my head and said, "I don’t know either. Just dig until you find something."
