Chapter 418: Chapter 418 We Have Complete Confidence

Lainey Kessler showed no signs of fear, clearly having prepared his response beforehand.

He spoke with bitterness: "Mr. Raymond, do you believe I’m worthy of seeking vengeance against you now?"

I stayed quiet. While Lainey Kessler had a point, I couldn’t trust what he was saying.

Who could possibly forget the hatred of their father’s death and choose reconciliation instead?

"What do you want from me?" I asked.

Lainey Kessler replied earnestly: "Mr. Raymond, I require your assistance."

"You require my assistance?" I gazed at Lainey Kessler with a sarcastic grin.

Lainey Kessler gave a nod: "Indeed, I discovered a Mystic Realm in Hanah, but I lack the courage to venture in by myself."

"I have no acquaintances in Hanah, so when I learned of your arrival, I sought your aid."

Lainey Kessler seemed genuine, not appearing to be putting on an act.

I considered for a moment before saying: "Fine, where is this place?"

"Near the Riverside!" Lainey Kessler responded eagerly.

I nodded and said, "Then let’s not delay; show me the way."

Lainey Kessler felt elated!

He hadn’t anticipated that I would be fooled so effortlessly!

"Mr. Raymond, please go ahead," Lainey Kessler said with politeness.

We departed the hotel and made our way toward the Riverside.

Throughout the trip, both Lainey Kessler and I stayed quiet, making the atmosphere tense.

After more than thirty minutes, the vehicle pulled over.

Lainey Kessler jumped out and opened my door.

"Mr. Raymond, it’s right up there!" Lainey Kessler announced, barely holding back his enthusiasm.

I stepped out of the vehicle.

Looking at Lainey Kessler, I said with amusement, "Lainey Kessler, sometimes a person gets just one opportunity in life, and a small mistake can result in their permanent downfall. Have you thought this through?"

Lainey Kessler looked bewildered.

These words clearly carried a deeper message.

"Mr. Raymond, I’m not sure what you mean," Lainey Kessler said defiantly.

I placed my hand on Lainey Kessler’s shoulder and said, "Let’s move."

Lainey Kessler fell silent and guided me toward the Riverside.

As we neared the Riverside, I paused once more.

Looking out at the water, I said casually, "I took your father’s life, and I know you want revenge. Therefore, this time, I won’t end your life."

Lainey Kessler was stunned, his expression shifting drastically!

Had I been aware of his plot from the beginning?

"You..." Lainey Kessler stared at me in fear, shaking uncontrollably.

"You may leave," I said calmly.

Gritting his teeth, Lainey Kessler immediately spun around and bolted.

The moment Lainey Kessler escaped, those concealed in the shadows emerged one by one.

Witnessing more than a dozen figures suddenly materializing by the Riverside, I couldn’t help but smirk.

"Mason Raymond, you’ve finally shown up! We’ve made extensive preparations to eliminate you!"

Before I could get closer, a young man wearing a green hat shouted frantically.

Upon hearing this, Randal Tristan and the others looked quite displeased.

"You fool, do you want him to get away?" Randal Tristan screamed furiously.

Victor Green had no time to worry about Randal Tristan; he yelled with everything he had, "Mr. Raymond, flee!"

I observed the young man in the green hat with some confusion, feeling even more puzzled.

Wasn’t that Zendaya Andrew’s hat? How had it gotten on his head?

"Quit stalling and perish!" Seeing I had no plans to leave, Victor Green shouted once more.

"Shut your damn mouth!" Randal Tristan struck Victor Green across the face with his hand!

Victor Green’s expression soured, and he couldn’t help but swear internally.

Not far off, I remained quiet, my hands behind my back as I slowly approached the group.

More than a dozen people quickly encircled me.

"Mason Raymond, you’ve finally arrived," Randal Tristan said, lightly stroking his beard.

I looked at them and sneered, "More than a dozen Peak Form Grandmasters planning to kill me? I’m afraid that won’t be sufficient."

"Ha, Mason Raymond, don’t get cocky. Since we dared to summon you, we naturally possess complete confidence," Randal Tristan said with a slight smile.

"Exactly! Among us, we have Formation Masters, Cross-training Grandmasters, and Divine-sense Grandmasters. Eliminating you is nothing!" Victor Green yelled again.

This time, I also detected something odd.

This guy appeared to be intimidating me, but actually, every word he said was meant to give me valuable intelligence.

"Be quiet!" Randal Tristan glared at Victor Green intensely.

Following that, Randal Tristan looked at me and said icily, "Mason Raymond, we don’t wish to create conflict. If you’re prepared to surrender the cultivation technique from the stairway to heaven, we might consider letting you live."

"Cultivation technique?" I raised my eyebrows and shook my head: "I’m sorry, but no cultivation technique exists on the stairway to heaven."

"Lies!" Randal Tristan said coldly.

"Will you hand it over or not!" A man yelled loudly.

I shrugged: "I don’t possess it, so how can I give it to you?"

At this moment, I paused and added: "Oh, naturally, even if I did have it, I wouldn’t give it to you regardless."

"What an audacious Mason Raymond, even when confronting death, you stay so defiant!" Randal Tristan said coldly.

"Since you refuse to cooperate, don’t blame us for being merciless!"

As he spoke, Randal Tristan’s energy burst forth first!

Sensing Randal Tristan’s energy, a hint of excitement flashed in my eyes!

Randal Tristan’s energy was somewhat stronger than that of a typical Peak Form Grandmaster!

Then, the energies of the other dozen people also exploded!

In an instant, the river started to churn wildly, creating massive waves.

The trees on either side were sliced in half under the force of these energies!

"We’re offering you a final opportunity, will you surrender it or not!" Randal Tristan said coldly.

I sneered: "Are you hard of hearing? If you’re elderly, go home and rest; why bother coming here to die?"

"Fine!" Randal Tristan said nothing more.

Just as he was about to command everyone to strike together, Victor Green suddenly called out beside him: "Mason Raymond, you don’t need to act tough! You’re merely someone with a strong physical form, but our Master Swanson Baton’s body exceeds yours by far!"

With that single statement, he boosted the already agitated Swanson Baton to the skies.

Swanson Baton immediately moved forward and gestured: "Randal Tristan, allow me to face this kid one-on-one."

Randal Tristan scowled: "Swanson Baton, have you forgotten my instructions?"

Swanson Baton huffed: "Everyone claims Mason Raymond has an invincible body, and I, Swanson Baton, refuse to accept it! If I can’t exchange some blows with him today, I won’t be content for the rest of my days!"
