Chapter 410: Chapter 410 Hawk Isolde Means Nothing
Blair Blake appeared somewhat taken aback and asked, "Boyce, do you two have history?"
The young man let out a mocking laugh. "History? You bet we do."
"Perfect. Mr. Raymond and I are buddies, so now we can all team up. This works out great," Blair said with enthusiasm.
But the young man scoffed and replied, "Blair, I originally figured you were doing pretty well and wanted to throw you a bone."
"But since you dragged this punk along, I’ve got to say sorry. No deal between us!"
Blair’s expression shifted slightly.
"Al...Boyce, what’s the deal? Some kind of mix-up?" Blair asked nervously.
The young man sneered. "Mix-up? This punk slugged me! What do you figure?"
Blair instinctively glanced my way.
I drummed my fingers against the table and said coolly, "Looks like you didn’t fill Hawk Isolde in on this little incident."
"If I’d told my uncle, you think you’d still be planted in that chair?" the young man said with an icy expression.
Blair quickly seized the young man’s arm and said frantically, "Boyce, what went down exactly? You... just take a seat."
The young man shot Blair a look and said coldly, "Nobody in the River North Region has the balls to lay a finger on me, Boyce Selena! You want to make a deal? Fine, I’ll cut you some slack."
Then Boyce jabbed a finger at me and declared, "Either you get on your knees and grovel to me, or you send your girl to my room tonight. Otherwise, forget about it!"
I gave him a cold stare and said, "Seems like you didn’t get beaten hard enough."
Blair rushed to hold me back, then turned to Boyce and said, "Boyce, if you’re after women, I can set that up for you. How’s that sound?"
"Nope, I want his girl. If not, no deal," Boyce said flatly.
Hearing this, Blair’s face darkened as well.
This Boyce was obviously trying to stir up trouble on purpose.
Just as Blair found himself caught in the middle, I tapped his shoulder to show he didn’t need to stress about it.
Then I looked at Boyce and said, "I’ll cut you a break—get Hawk Isolde over here to see me right now."
At this, Boyce flew into a rage. "My Uncle Hawk runs the River North Martial Arts Association! You think you can just demand a meeting with him?"
"Not making the call?" I nodded.
I got to my feet and drove my foot into Boyce’s gut.
The massive impact launched Boyce through the air.
His body crashed hard into the wall, and blood trickled from his lips.
Before Boyce could scramble up, crushing pressure bore down on him!
Boyce felt like he’d been hammered, as though two mountains were weighing down on his shoulders, pinning him in place.
"You dare lay hands on me! Fine, Blair, let me spell it out—your Blake family is done for!" Boyce snarled.
"Tomorrow I’m shutting down your family’s business, bankrupting you and bringing you down!"
"Still mouthing off?" I lifted a finger, and Boyce’s shin suddenly made a sharp crack!
"Ahhhh!!!" Boyce howled in agony.
"Mr. Raymond, this..." Blair looked somewhat rattled.
He’d never imagined things would blow up this badly.
I stared coldly at Boyce and said, "Your whole family, you’re all real pieces of work. So, does the River North Martial Arts Association belong to you?"
Boyce clenched his teeth and said, "Just hang tight, I’m calling my uncle right now, and he’s gonna make you pay!"
With that, Boyce frantically pulled out his phone and dialed Hawk Isolde.
Once the call connected, Boyce barked angrily, "Uncle, he beat me up! Send some Grandmasters over right now, I’m gonna kill him!"
After ending the call, Boyce pointed at me and said, "You’re finished! Just wait for it!"
I nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll wait."
Blair, standing nearby, looked pretty shaken.
Being a martial artist himself, he obviously understood what being president of the River North Martial Arts Association meant.
That was an official body in the martial arts community, controlling practically every martial artist in the River North Region. Nobody wanted to cross them!
"Mr. Raymond, I’m sorry for dragging you into this mess," Blair sighed.
I grinned and said, "Don’t sweat it, Hawk Isolde means nothing to me."
"Hahaha, keep running your mouth! You piece of trash, when my uncle shows up, you won’t even be able to bawl!" Boyce spat through gritted teeth.
I didn’t even bother acknowledging him.
With time to kill, I pulled out my phone and opened the Martial Arts Forum to scroll through.
Right then, I noticed the Potential Ranking on the Martial Arts Forum had gotten an update!
This time, I jumped straight from fifth place to second place!
And first place was still held by that guy named Walton Greer.
"Who the hell is this Walton Greer? Why’s he still ranked ahead of me?" I couldn’t help but scowl.
Could it be that Walton Greer also had the chops to take on ten opponents solo?
Then I kept scrolling down.
At that moment, a fresh post suddenly appeared on the Martial Arts Forum:
The Sean family will openly recruit talent, and any major martial arts family can join.
Seeing this announcement, my expression grew somewhat grim.
I’d known for ages about the Sean family’s plans to unite the northern martial arts world, but I hadn’t expected them to publicly declare their ambitions!
"Damn, the Sean family beat me to the punch," I muttered with a frown.
When it came to influence and pull, I couldn’t possibly match the massive Sean family, unless I tapped into the Divine Alchemist Pavilion’s power.
But if I did that, wouldn’t I be pulling the Divine Alchemist Pavilion into this mess?
Never mind whether the Pavilion Master would go along with it, even I might not be able to stomach it.
"This Sean family is really a pain to handle," I couldn’t help squinting.
Just then, the private room door swung open again.
Then I sensed a powerful and commanding presence flooding the room!
Looking up, I saw three Grandmasters walking in from outside!
And right behind them was the president of the River North Martial Arts Association, Hawk Isolde!
"Who’s got the nerve to mess with my family?"
His voice reached us before he did!
Hawk Isolde’s casual yet commanding voice drifted from behind the three men.
When Boyce spotted Hawk, he perked up immediately.
"Uncle, you finally made it!" Boyce called out desperately.
He pointed at me and said, "That bastard! Uncle, hurry up and cripple him! Then throw him in the Martial Arts Association lockup, just like those other jerks we’ve handled before!"
Hawk Isolde’s gaze slowly moved toward me.
When he got a clear look at my face, his expression shifted dramatically!
"President Isolde, this whole thing started because of me and has nothing to do with Mr. Raymond," Blair stood up and said proactively.
"Ha-ha, Blair, you can’t wiggle out of this either! Just wait to get locked up!" Boyce said through clenched teeth.
