Chapter 406: Chapter 406 Three Pillars Of Power
Sammy Sean warned hastily, "Auntie, this Mason Raymond isn’t just powerful—he’s unbearably arrogant too. You... you need to watch out."
Zaria Buchanan sneered, "Arrogant people? I’ve dealt with plenty. They all end up bowing before me."
Seeing this, Sammy Sean said nothing more and simply nodded.
...
The next day.
The moment I woke up, I couldn’t wait to check the Martial Arts Forum.
I was eager to see how the forum was responding to the recent incident.
Unfortunately, the Martial Arts Forum was dead silent.
It seemed like nobody knew about what had happened.
I frowned and muttered, "That’s weird. How could such a huge event get so little attention?"
"Maybe the Sean family is suppressing the news?" I wondered.
For something this major, unless the Sean family ordered a media blackout, the news shouldn’t have stayed under wraps.
After all, the Martial Arts Forum was run by the Capital City Martial Arts Association. It was totally possible for the Sean family to demand a news blackout.
"No, I’ve got to find a way to get this news out," I thought.
As I was lost in thought, my phone suddenly rang.
I glanced at the screen and saw it was Zendaya Andrew calling.
I answered right away. "Miss Andrew."
On the other end, Zendaya Andrew replied with a soft laugh, "Congratulations, Mr. Raymond, on reaching the Grandmaster Realm."
I raised an eyebrow. "How’d you find out?"
Zendaya Andrew simply said, "Mr. Raymond wiping out ten-plus grandmasters pretty much confirms you’ve reached the Grandmaster Realm."
Hearing that, I couldn’t help but laugh. "Miss Andrew, your intel network is impressive."
"Things like this can’t stay hidden even if you try," Zendaya Andrew said.
She paused, then continued, "Do you have time, Mr. Raymond?"
I asked, "What’s going on?"
"Let’s meet and talk," Zendaya Andrew suggested.
"Sure," I agreed without hesitation.
Zendaya Andrew gave me the time and location.
After hanging up, I got ready to head out for the meeting.
But then an unexpected visitor showed up at my door.
A middle-aged man stood before me, his face full of respect.
"Hawk Isolde?" Recognizing the visitor, I raised an eyebrow and a cold smile crossed my lips.
Holding out his hands, Hawk Isolde said, "Mr. Raymond, these herbs are for you, please take them."
Looking at the hundred-year-old herb in his hands, I chuckled coldly.
"Hawk Isolde, you used the Martial Arts Association’s name to line your own pockets."
"You think one hundred-year-old herb can fix this mess?" I questioned coldly.
Hawk Isolde’s face went pale, and he dropped to his knees, speaking fearfully, "Mr. Raymond, I’ve truly realized my mistakes and hope... hope you could spare my life..."
This sudden attitude change caught me off guard.
Looking down at Hawk Isolde, I laughed coldly. "Hawk Isolde, what game are you playing now?"
Hawk Isolde responded with terror written all over his face, "I wouldn’t dare, wouldn’t dare... I was blind to Mr. Raymond’s true power, please spare me..."
My eyes narrowed slightly.
I said coldly, "Get lost! And let me warn you—if you bother me again, I won’t give a damn about your so-called Martial Arts Association!"
"Yes, yes, understood!" Hawk Isolde nodded frantically.
I grunted and ignored Hawk Isolde, immediately getting in my car and driving away.
——
Watching Mason Raymond’s retreating figure, Hawk Isolde let out a sigh of relief.
Earlier that morning, he’d heard that the heads of ten-plus martial arts aristocratic families from River North had been killed.
The person behind it all was a young man named Mason Raymond!
Upon hearing this news, Hawk Isolde was so terrified that he immediately drove over to apologize.
"That was close. You can mess with anyone but not this kind of maniac..." Hawk Isolde muttered under his breath.
——
The meeting spot Zendaya Andrew had arranged was at an outdoor restaurant.
By the time I arrived, she was already there waiting.
When Zendaya Andrew saw me, she waved.
"Mr. Raymond." Zendaya Andrew greeted me with a wave.
I quickly walked over and sat down at the table.
I pulled out a green hat from my Spatial Magic Artifact and handed it to Zendaya Andrew.
"Here’s your stuff back," I said.
Zendaya Andrew laughed. "It’s a gift for you."
I snorted softly. "I don’t want this thing. You better keep it."
Hearing this, Zendaya Andrew couldn’t hold back her laughter.
"Your actions really surprised me, Mr. Raymond," Zendaya Andrew then said seriously.
"By now, you’ve killed at least half the Grandmasters in the River North Region."
I snorted coldly. "They deserved to die."
Those serving the Sean family were destined to become my enemies. It was just a matter of time before they had to be eliminated.
"What’s your plan now, Mr. Raymond?" Zendaya Andrew asked.
I looked at Zendaya Andrew and said seriously, "I do have a plan, and Miss Andrew might be able to help."
Hearing this, Zendaya Andrew pretended to be scared. "I’m honored to serve Mr. Raymond."
I rolled my eyes. "Cut that out."
After saying that, I got serious again. "I plan to build my own forces."
"Your own forces?" Zendaya Andrew looked slightly surprised.
I nodded. "Yeah, I alone definitely can’t shake the Sean family—after all, this is modern society now."
Zendaya Andrew thought about it. "That’s true. In today’s world, it’s really hard for one person to accomplish much."
She continued, "How are you planning to go about this, Mr. Raymond?"
I paused for a moment. "After thinking it through, if I want to go against families like the Taylors and Blairs, I need to consider three aspects."
"Business, martial arts, connections—all three are essential."
"Right now, Jerry Sean is building business strength, and I plan to establish my own sect."
"As for connections, I’m hoping Miss Andrew can help."
Hearing this, Zendaya Andrew fell silent for a while.
Then she smiled. "Mr. Raymond, you’re an elder of the Divine Alchemist Pavilion. Why do you need my help?"
I shook my head. "That’s nowhere near enough. I need connections in Capital City."
"Miss Andrew, if you don’t want to help, just pretend I never asked," I said.
Zendaya Andrew thought for a while. "Let me think about it."
"Okay." I didn’t push her, since begging wouldn’t help anyway.
"Hey, pretty lady, are you planning to give your man a green hat?"
Just then, a young man walked over from the side.
The young man looked at the green hat in Zendaya Andrew’s hand and smirked. "Why don’t you consider me instead?"
Zendaya Andrew glanced at the young man and said with a faint laugh, "Do you think you’re worth it?"
Hearing that, the young man didn’t get angry.
He said proudly, "Pretty lady, seems like you don’t know who I am."
"Oh? What’s your identity?" Zendaya Andrew asked, raising an eyebrow.
The young man said somewhat proudly, "You know the River North Martial Arts Association, right? My uncle is the president of the River North Martial Arts Association, Hawk Isolde!"
"Who in the whole River North Region would dare not show my uncle respect?" the young man said triumphantly.
