Chapter 361: Chapter 361 - Revival Hope
"No way, Mason Raymond would never hurt Grandpa!" Mabel Sean declared firmly.
"Ha, if he’s innocent, then why is Dad in that bed?" Logan Sean mocked.
"Big brother, we should get Dad to the hospital now," Soren Sean urged.
"Yes, let’s rush Dad to the hospital!" The others agreed.
Mabel suddenly remembered something at that moment.
She turned to Mason Raymond and said, "Mason, you know medicine, right? Please...please help save Grandpa."
I let out a heavy sigh and replied with regret, "Mabel, I’m truly sorry, but...I’m afraid there’s nothing I can do."
"Can’t, or won’t?" Logan Sean jeered.
"Enough with this talk, let’s get Dad to the hospital now," Soren Sean interrupted.
Logan Sean shot a look at me and warned, "I’ll deal with you when we return!"
I stayed quiet. I wanted to go to the hospital as well, but Logan had blocked me.
——
Sitting on the couch, my expression was dark.
I had never seen anything like Jerry Sean’s condition before.
Even at life’s end, there should be some kind of response.
I remained on the couch, my mind racing, searching for a way to save Jerry Sean’s life.
——
Meanwhile, doctors worked frantically to save Jerry Sean at the hospital.
Just thirty minutes later, the doctor emerged from the emergency room.
"Doctor, how is he?" Mabel Sean rushed to ask.
The doctor removed his mask and shook his head sadly, "Miss Sean, I’m sorry. Mr. Sean’s vital signs have failed, and we can’t do anything more."
"This can’t be happening! He was perfectly fine yesterday!" Mabel felt crushed.
She had never thought Jerry Sean would leave her someday.
Standing in the hospital hallway, Mabel seemed lost, tears rolling down her pale face like scattered pearls.
"Doctor, how much time does my father have?" Soren Sean asked seriously.
The doctor sighed deeply, "I’m afraid he won’t survive today. You should...start making funeral arrangements."
Hearing this news, Mabel collapsed completely.
Her world went black and she fainted.
——
That evening.
Jerry Sean was brought back to the house.
He lay in bed, showing no signs of life whatsoever.
Mabel simply crouched next to Jerry Sean’s still form.
She held his weathered hand and spoke quietly, as though recalling old memories.
Right then, I walked into the room.
I approached Mabel, softly wrapping my arms around her from behind.
Mabel’s face was already wet with tears.
I saw her suffering and felt it deep in my heart.
Suddenly, I noticed something odd.
My eyes widened as I stared at Jerry Sean’s forehead.
There, a dim glow was visible on Jerry Sean’s forehead.
Though the glow was faint, it was definitely there.
"Could this be...divine sense?" I suddenly understood.
I quickly lifted my hand and pressed it against Jerry Sean’s forehead, feeling for his divine sense.
Just as I suspected, Jerry Sean’s divine sense hadn’t faded!
"Something’s not right. There’s definitely something wrong!" I said coldly.
"If this were natural death, his divine sense would be gone." "But right now, Jerry Sean’s divine sense is still there, only his vital signs have stopped..."
Realizing this, I suddenly felt hope.
I grabbed Mabel Sean’s hand and said, "Mabel, I know how to save Jerry Sean."
At these words, hope sparked in Mabel Sean’s eyes again.
"You...are you telling the truth?" Mabel asked desperately.
I nodded and said, "Definitely! But...I need to take Jerry Sean’s body with me."
As long as Jerry Sean’s divine sense existed, I could use the Resurrection Formation from Earth Fiend Valley to bring him back!
Of course, this would also need a fresh body and the Resurrection Formation built in Earth Fiend Valley!
The formation was far off in the southwest, so I had to bring Jerry Sean’s body along!
"Take my dad’s body? What are you really planning?" At that moment, Logan Sean entered the room.
He sneered, "You murdered him, and now you want to disturb his eternal rest?"
I slowly got up, took a deep breath, and said, "Mr. Sean, I’m not playing games with you, I truly know how to bring Jerry Sean back."
"Ridiculous! How can dead people return to life?" Logan laughed.
I explained, "Usually, you’d be correct. Dead people can’t return to life. But since Jerry Sean’s divine sense remains whole, I have a method!"
"Oh? Share with me, what’s this method?" Logan raised his eyebrows.
"I’m not sure if you’ve heard about the Resurrection Formation in Earth Fiend Valley," I said seriously.
"Resurrection Formation?" Logan seemed to recognize it.
I nodded, "That’s right, a friend of mine was brought back using that formation."
"The only problem is that it needs a fresh body."
Logan had actually heard about the Resurrection Formation in Earth Fiend Valley, but he had waited so long for Jerry Sean to die - how could he allow me to revive him?
"Absolute nonsense, I will never allow you to take my dad’s body!" Logan said icily.
My face gradually hardened as well.
I narrowed my eyes and said, "Mr. Sean, it looks like you don’t want Jerry Sean revived, correct? If he returns, your role as head of the Sean family would be threatened, wouldn’t it?"
Logan’s expression suddenly shifted, and he angrily shot back, "Nonsense! You’re spouting garbage!"
I smirked, "Then why won’t you let me use the Resurrection Formation to save Jerry Sean?"
Logan huffed, "Because I don’t trust you, and I don’t believe in any stupid Resurrection Formation!"
"Big brother, I have actually heard about the Resurrection Formation," Soren Sean said, looking troubled.
"Dad is already gone. We should probably let Mason try."
"Right, maybe Mason really does have a solution," others agreed too.
Logan’s forehead creased deeply.
If he kept refusing, it might truly raise suspicions.
Just as Logan felt cornered, he suddenly remembered something.
Then, his face slowly relaxed.
He said casually, "Fine, I’ll agree."
I finally felt relief and said with clasped hands, "Thank you for believing in me, Mr. Sean."
——
Logan didn’t stay and left the Sean family’s Estate immediately.
He went back to his own home.
In his study, Logan puffed on a cigar, his advisor standing next to him.
"Mr. Sean, why did you agree to let Mason attempt to revive Jerry Sean?" The advisor asked, somewhat confused.
Logan snorted, "If I had continued refusing, wouldn’t that be too suspicious? Who would support me then?"
The advisor frowned, "But...if Jerry Sean comes back to life, your position as family head will be postponed for goodness knows how long."
Logan laughed coldly, "Let’s not even discuss whether he can revive my dad. Even if he manages it, so what?"
"The body, the looks, even the voice will be different."
"How can he prove that some stranger is my dad?"
