Chapter 322: Chapter 322 - Fatal Miscalculation

The car window slowly rolled down, revealing a burly, imposing man who gestured for me to come over.

The man was Logan Sean.

He gripped a cigar between his fingers and spoke casually, "Get in. We need to talk."

I wasn’t shocked—I’d expected Logan to seek me out.

Without a word, I turned and climbed into the vehicle.

The car immediately sped away once I was inside.

I asked politely, "Mr. Sean, what do you need?"

Logan exhaled a ring of smoke and said icily, "You’ve got some nerve going after someone from my Sean family."

I could tell what Logan meant, so I answered with a grin, "Mr. Sean, pursuing Mabel Sean is within my rights."

"Rights? Do you honestly believe someone like you deserves such rights?" Logan said coldly.

I responded calmly, "I think people shouldn’t be separated by status, and I believe Miss Sean feels the same way."

"People are separated by status, whether you like it or not," Logan said while taking another puff of his cigar.

I stayed quiet.

In this world, people truly were divided into different classes, whether they acknowledged it or not.

The poor always sucked up to the wealthy, and the wealthy did the same to those with power.

And these so-called elite seemed to believe this was perfectly natural.

"Society’s foundation is exploitation," Logan said without emotion.

But I replied seriously, "I disagree. Even if that’s true, things are shifting."

"I’m not here to debate with you," Logan said flatly.

"Because we’re not equals, and I don’t need to justify anything to you."

At this moment, Logan raised his hand, and someone quickly passed him a folder.

Logan tossed the folder to me and said, "I can offer you money and status. Take a look."

Rather than grabbing the folder, I asked, "What do you want from me, Mr. Sean?"

"Keep away from Mabel Sean and never enter the Sean estate again!" Logan said coldly.

Hearing this, I immediately pushed the folder back.

"I’m sorry, but I decline," I shook my head.

Logan wasn’t rushed, and he said with a smirk, "Aren’t you curious about what’s in there?"

"Whatever it is, I’m not interested," I replied coolly.

Logan sneered, "What’s in there could make you the leader of an entire region and give you a carefree life! Are you really not tempted?"

"Nothing matters more to me than Mabel Sean," I said.

Logan’s expression immediately turned icy.

He narrowed his eyes and said, "You know, sometimes when people don’t show their greed, it’s more likely to lead to their destruction."

"I’ll ask you one final time—are you certain you don’t want it?" Logan’s voice grew even colder.

"No," I answered firmly.

Logan said nothing more, just nodded and said, "Fine, let’s go."

The car finally stopped in a barren location.

Two men had been waiting there.

The vehicle came to a halt, and Logan glanced at me, saying, "You still have a chance to reconsider."

"I have no regrets," I responded steadily, which irritated Logan.

For Logan, he despised defiance from lower-class people, especially those of humble status challenging him.

From Logan’s perspective, such behavior was deeply disrespectful.

"Mason, you and Mabel Sean don’t belong together. Why keep forcing it?" Logan sneered.

"Then who do you think fits? Vance Johansson from the Johansson family? Because the Johansson family could help you secure your position as head of the Sean family, right?" I sneered back.

These words had completely infuriated Logan!

He said coldly, "You can get out now."

As soon as he spoke, the two men outside the car approached.

They opened the car door and bowed, saying, "Mr. Sean."

Without even glancing at them, Logan said indifferently, "Remember, keep him breathing."

"Don’t worry, Mr. Sean," the two replied respectfully.

I said nothing and simply stepped out of the car.

After I got out, Logan drove off.

The area around me was barren and cold, with a pitch-black sky and fierce winds—an ideal spot for murder.

The two men looked at me and said coldly, "Don’t worry, we’ll minimize your suffering."

As soon as they finished speaking, the two men lunged at me!

Four palms, moving at incredible speed, targeted straight for my dantian!

"Clang!"

The palms struck my dantian hard!

However, the expected scene of torn flesh and spurting blood never came. Instead, their fingers trembled in pain!

"Seems Logan doesn’t understand me very well," I said emotionlessly as I looked down at the two assassins.

The two sensed trouble and quickly retreated!

I stared at them coldly and said, "Two Third Rank Grandmasters—isn’t this just suicide?"

The Sean family commanded countless elite Grandmasters and could even deploy beings beyond the Grandmaster level!

But the killers Logan sent were just two worthless men!

It was absolutely ridiculous!

"Today might be your last job for Logan Sean," I felt no compassion.

I stepped forward, and golden light instantly lit up the sky!

"Thud! Thud!"

Two sharp sounds, and my fists punched through their chests!

With my enhanced strength added, my physical power had multiplied several times!

These two Grandmasters were no match for me!

After killing the two assassins, I moved my palm, and spiritual fire immediately fell on their bodies.

Within minutes, the two corpses vanished completely.

I didn’t rush to leave.

I stood alone in the desolate area, my face showing no expression.

"Sean family..." I murmured.

I realized my enemy wasn’t just Vance Johansson, but possibly all the top aristocratic families.

The class divisions had long unified these elite families into one faction.

They could battle each other, but would never permit anyone to cross their class lines.

I turned and walked away, and at that moment, the sky filled with lightning, as if foretelling something.
