Chapter 310: Chapter 310 - Capital Bound

Commander Wood grinned and said, "As a coach, you should definitely join them."

His words made me feel a bit nervous, though excitement dominated my emotions.

I’d always longed for Capital City, yet felt somewhat hesitant about it.

I’d always wanted to visit there, but never had the proper opportunity.

This time might be my best shot at getting to Capital City.

"What’s wrong?" Commander Wood asked.

Before I could respond, Jasper Thompson beside us chuckled and said, "You want to use this chance to see Miss Sean, don’t you?"

I rubbed my head and said bashfully, "Pretty much."

"Hahaha! I heard long ago that the Sean family’s daughter has feelings for you. Looks like the gossip is true!" Commander Wood burst into laughter.

His words made my face burn with embarrassment.

I quickly stood up and said, "I should head out now. It’s late and I need some rest."

"Alright, be at the training ground tomorrow morning at eight sharp," Commander Wood ordered.

After that, Jasper and I left together.

Once I got home, I tossed and turned in bed, sleep eluding me.

Every time I closed my eyes, Mabel Sean’s face appeared unbidden in my thoughts.

What would it be like when we finally met?

Would I visit the Sean family openly? Or meet her in secret?

Endless possibilities raced through my mind, and with these tangled feelings, I eventually drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up early and made my way to the Chuzzle Battle Zone Training Ground.

Jasper had already finished his morning jog. Spotting me, he smiled and said, "You’re up? Grab some food, and let’s head out."

To my surprise, Watson Thompson had prepared breakfast.

She’d cooked four bowls of noodles that tasted pretty good.

On our way to the Chuzzle Training Ground, Jasper asked, "Mason, do you have the training program ready?"

I showed him my palm and said, "All set. This training program is thorough and easy to follow."

Jasper nodded and said, "Good."

Soon, we both reached the training ground.

The Dragon and Tiger Team members had already gathered on the field, and Commander Wood was waiting there.

When Commander Wood saw me, he came over and shook my hand.

"Since everyone’s here, let’s begin," Commander Wood gestured.

I nodded, stepped in front of the team and was about to speak when the team members shouted together, "Hello, Mr. Mason!"

The title felt somewhat awkward to me.

I coughed and waved my hand, saying, "Hello everyone, starting today, I’ll teach you a new training method."

Then, I looked at the team and said slowly, "This training method is extremely tough and brutal. I hope you can all keep your enthusiasm."

"We promise to complete the mission!" the team members yelled.

I didn’t waste more time as I personally showed the training method to the team members. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

This training method differed from regular body conditioning techniques, designed to boost physical strength from within in a short period.

As a result, my stances were quite unusual, and each stance had to be held for over an hour.

There were twelve stances total, meaning a complete set would take at least twelve hours!

Plus, they had to keep steady breathing while holding these stances.

I simply demonstrated the twelve movements to the team and then said, "Everyone, train using this method with ten-minute breaks between each movement."

"Anyone who can’t handle this should leave the Dragon Tiger Team voluntarily," I said with some authority.

After my demonstration, the team members frowned.

"Mr. Mason, does this method actually work?"

"These movements are too quick; we can’t see them clearly at all."

"Mr. Mason, be honest with us. Can you hold these stances yourself for over an hour?"

I shook my head and said, "I can’t."

This immediately made people feel both amused and annoyed.

"If you can’t do it yourself, then why are you demanding it from us?" Someone couldn’t help but ask.

I chuckled, "I don’t need to use this program at all."

Everyone looked at Commander Wood, seemingly waiting for his orders.

Commander Wood shouted, "Mason Raymond’s words are my words! If anyone can’t handle it, leave now!"

With Commander Wood’s backing, they had no choice but to follow orders.

"Commander Wood, please make eighteen copies of this program and hand them out to everyone," I said.

Commander Wood nodded, "No problem."

The documents were quickly copied. After receiving the program, everyone began training according to the movements outlined in it.

I sat there, quietly observing everyone, occasionally fixing their stances.

By day’s end, almost everyone had suffered from various degrees of strain.

Some couldn’t even lift their arms due to the pain.

"Mason Raymond, isn’t your program the same as Bennett Maxwayne’s?" Commander Wood frowned.

I nodded, "It is."

Commander Wood’s expression changed instantly, and he quickly said, "Mason Raymond, this isn’t a joke! We don’t have much time, and we can’t afford any slip-ups!"

I smiled, "Don’t worry, I’ll supply pills to help them, so they won’t get injured."

Then, I looked at everyone and shouted, "Alright, training ends here for today. Tomorrow morning at five, everyone meet at the training ground!"

"Five o’clock? That’s way too early, isn’t it?" The scene filled with groans.

Since it was already midnight, they could sleep for five hours at most!

"Follow orders," I waved my hand and commanded with authority.

After dismissing everyone, I looked at Commander Wood and said, "Commander Wood, their training movements are nearly perfect. I don’t need to come tomorrow."

Commander Wood frowned, "If you don’t come, who will supervise them?"

"Let Officer Bennett Maxwayne lead the team, his leadership experience surpasses mine," I said.

Since I was heading to Capital City, I naturally had to make thorough preparations.

So, I couldn’t spend all my time on training.

Commander Wood rolled his eyes, "You really know how to delegate, that’s quite convenient. But it’s unfair to Bennett Maxwayne."

"Commander Wood, if there are any honors to distribute, I’ll give them to Bennett Maxwayne, is that acceptable?" I said reluctantly.

"Fine." With everything settled, Commander Wood couldn’t argue further, and could only nod in agreement.

I turned and prepared to leave the battle zone when something occurred to me. I turned back and said, "Oh, Commander Wood, don’t forget to have someone fetch the pills, once daily."

"I know, I know," Commander Wood waved his hand.

——

Capital City, Johansson family.

Late at night, Vance Johansson still couldn’t fall asleep.

He sat cross-legged on the floor, absorbing the purest qi energy from his surroundings.

After roughly ten minutes, Vance Johansson finally got up.

"Mr. Tenny," the Steward stepped forward and bowed slightly to Vance Johansson.

Vance Johansson glanced at him and said, "What is it? Speak up."

The Steward said, "I just got word that Dimitri Brynlee seems to have been defeated by Mason Raymond."

"Oh?" Vance Johansson raised his eyebrows.

"Isn’t Dimitri Brynlee a Fifth Rank Grandmaster? How could he lose to Mason Raymond?"

The Steward shook his head, "We’re not sure either."

Vance Johansson didn’t take it too seriously. He snorted, "Just a Fifth Rank Grandmaster, I could crush him with one hand."

In River North, a Fifth Rank Grandmaster could be called Master.

But in Capital City, a Fifth Rank Grandmaster wasn’t worth mentioning.

The steward frowned, "Defeating a Fifth Rank Grandmaster isn’t really a big deal, but what concerns me is that Mason Raymond just entered the Grandmaster Realm, and he’s already jumped an entire level to win."

"Such a feat... even Ignacio Richard couldn’t accomplish it back then..."
