Chapter 264: Chapter 264 - Taken
The elderly man atop the mountain reclined with his arms folded behind him, a frigid gleam flashing in his gaze.
At the same time, Cornel Drake was speeding along the highway.
Glancing at the two gorgeous women in his vehicle, Cornel found himself gulping.
Watson Thompson especially caught his attention—her body and features were absolutely captivating.
"Forget it, Diane alone will do..." Cornel mused internally.
"Cornel, this route doesn’t look like it leads to the hospital?" Diane questioned with a frown.
Cornel narrowed his eyes and replied, "Relax, I know a friend who’s an amazing healer, way better than any hospital!"
Diane’s frown deepened.
Something about Cornel felt dishonest to her.
Plus, the way he kept staring made her skin crawl.
The path ahead grew increasingly dim, and before long, barely any traces of civilization remained visible.
"We should just go to the hospital," Diane suggested, fear creeping into her voice.
Cornel flashed a sinister smile, "We’re nearly there, why worry? Chill out, you’ll enjoy yourself soon..."
These words only amplified Diane’s terror.
She attempted to unlock the car door, but discovered it wouldn’t budge.
"Stop the car right now! I want out!" Diane cried desperately.
Cornel paid her no mind and continued driving until they reached the base of a hill.
"Here we are." Cornel hit the brakes hard, bringing the car to a halt before the old man.
Taking in their surroundings, Diane’s complexion went ashen, panic flooding her chest!
She pushed open the door and attempted to flee, but Cornel seized her by the hair!
"Slut, think you can escape now? Too late!" Cornel snarled viciously.
Diane fought back with everything she had, but Cornel overpowered her easily.
Cornel struck her cheek brutally and bellowed, "You better cooperate, or I’ll end you!"
Diane, ghostly pale and shaking, couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down.
She quivered and whispered, "Cornel, what...what are you planning..."
"Ha ha, you little tramp, what do you think I’m planning? Had the nerve to disrespect me, didn’t you?" Cornel mocked.
Just then, the old man spoke with detachment, "Excellent, even secured some bonus prizes."
"What?" Cornel looked confused.
The old man lifted one finger, and an overwhelming force instantly targeted Diane.
In a flash, Diane collapsed unconscious.
The old man then gestured with his hand, pulling Diane toward himself.
Witnessing the old man’s supernatural abilities, Cornel’s jaw dropped in amazement.
He’d never witnessed such incredible powers!
For an instant, Cornel viewed the old man as a genuine immortal being!
"Hmm, untouched as well, nicely done." The old man gave an approving nod.
Cornel’s expression shifted, and he found the nerve to speak, "Old... old master, this woman belongs to me, could you possibly let me have her..."
The old man’s eyes became slits as he stared coldly at Cornel.
Cornel instantly felt ice run through his veins, perspiration breaking out everywhere!
He quickly dropped to his knees and pleaded, "Old master, I made a mistake, the woman is yours..."
The old man let out a cold sniff and stated flatly, "Starting now, your job will be bringing me women. Keep in mind, only untouched ones, the younger the better."
Cornel looked bewildered and laughed nervously, "Old master, I had no idea you enjoyed such pastimes..."
Hearing this, the old man raised his palm and pressed downward!
The crushing pressure forced Cornel to the ground, unable to rise!
"Old master, I was mistaken..." Cornel quickly apologized.
The old man released the pressure and snorted icily, "Remember, bring me three untouched girls monthly, the younger the better, got it?"
"Yes, absolutely..." Cornel bobbed his head frantically.
"Don’t fret, you’ll receive generous compensation." With that, the old man flicked his finger, and a pill dropped into Cornel’s palm.
Cornel examined the pill with some bewilderment.
"This pill comes from an Earth Fiend Valley elder and represents a holy medicine; it will work wonders for you," the old man explained indifferently.
Cornel nodded eagerly and said, "Thank you, old master!"
The next moment, the old man seized Watson Thompson and Diane before vanishing into the darkness.
Cornel wiped away his sweat, still shaken by fear.
The old man’s abilities were absolutely terrifying...
Cornel tucked the pill away safely, then climbed into his car and headed home.
——
Meanwhile, I was racing toward the speedway.
But when I got there, Cornel Drake had already taken off.
I scowled, scanning the people around the area, and demanded coldly, "Where’s Cornel Drake?"
Several young guys looked at me and replied irritably, "Who the hell are you?"
"I asked where Cornel Drake is," I repeated icily.
One guy waved dismissively and snapped, "How should I know? Beat it!"
As he said this, he reached out to shove my chest.
I immediately caught his wrist, squeezed tight, and he instantly winced in agony, crying out.
"Where’s Cornel Drake?" I asked coldly.
The guy quickly answered, "Dude, Cornel Drake got into trouble, he rushed some girl named Watson Thompson to the hospital..."
"Hospital?" My brow furrowed.
"Dude, can you ease up first..." the guy groaned in pain.
I released my hold, and he exhaled with relief.
"What went down?" I asked coldly.
The guy grimaced, "Cornel claimed he wanted to hook up with this Watson Thompson chick, so he made a bet using her in a race."
"But for some reason, during the race, Cornel deliberately crashed into her car, making it flip and knocking her out..."
"Then he carried Watson and her friend Diane off to the hospital..."
My expression turned absolutely frigid.
I didn’t utter another word and headed straight for the exit.
Just as I stepped outside, Jasper Thompson’s call came through.
"Mason, why isn’t Watson back yet?" Jasper asked with concern.
I frowned, "I was just about to fill you in on that."
"Huh?" Jasper sounded puzzled on the other line.
"Watson wasn’t with you?"
I furrowed my brow, "No..."
I then explained the entire situation to Jasper.
After hearing this, Jasper exploded with fury!
"That Cornel... how dare he try to harm my daughter, I’ll make him pay dearly!" Jasper roared.
"Jasper, finding Watson comes first," I said seriously.
"Here’s the plan—you track down which hospital Watson’s at, and I’ll hunt down Cornel. We’ll cover more ground separately," I proposed.
"Right, right, I’ll start making calls immediately!" Jasper agreed urgently.
After ending the call, I returned to the racing area, grabbed one of the young men, and sped off toward Cornel’s place.
