Chapter 260: Chapter 260 - Fatal Strike

When I probed further, Stewart Anne responded with a subtle smile, "Mr. Raymond can view it that way, but there’s really no need to complicate things."

"Just agree to join us, and we’ll absolutely supply you with abundant resources," Stewart Anne tempted with sincerity.

I shot back coldly, "What, don’t you get what I’m saying?"

Witnessing my stubborn stance, Stewart Anne understood that winning me over was practically hopeless.

So he answered with a mild smile, "Fine, Mason Raymond, let’s act like we were never here."

Having said this, Stewart Anne departed with the young man.

However, right then, Stewart Anne suddenly sensed a chill rushing down his spine!

"Trouble!" Stewart Anne thought internally, trying to spin around, but it was already too late!

My fist crashed hard into his back!

This blow crushed Stewart Anne’s bones, and his frame got hurled to the side!

"Mason Raymond, you dare strike us?" The young man yelled instantly.

I swiftly delivered a palm strike, crushing the young man’s skull right away.

Meanwhile, Stewart Anne managed to rise from afar.

He narrowed his eyes and warned, "Mason Raymond, if you murder us, the Michelle Sect will never spare you!"

I sneered, "Since we’re adversaries now, why would I spare you?"

Stewart Anne’s expression shifted dramatically!

Remorse consumed his thoughts; had he known it would lead to this, he wouldn’t have spoken so decisively!

I moved toward Stewart Anne step by step, with overwhelming killing intent pressing down!

Stewart Anne was a Grandmaster Peak, and his strength couldn’t be taken lightly.

Confronting my murderous aura, Stewart Anne wasn’t just sitting there, accepting death.

He expelled silver needles, which burst forth instantly!

I frowned slightly. These silver needles were so minuscule that I couldn’t defend against them.

A silver needle embedded itself in my forehead.

A trickle of fresh blood ran down my nose.

I touched the blood on my nose, and my expression grew even darker.

Stewart Anne then cackled loudly, "Mason Raymond, you’ve been struck by my Michelle’s Divine Needle. Without question, you’ll perish within three days! If you beg for forgiveness now and surrender the Nine Transformation Pill formula, I might provide you the cure!"

I squinted as I replied, "Three days, eh? That’s plenty of time for me to eliminate you a thousand times."

Stewart Anne grew desperate, saying in terror, "Mason Raymond, you...don’t you value your life?"

"I’d rather perish than be intimidated by scum like you," I responded icily.

I lifted my hand and placed it directly on Stewart Anne’s skull.

"Heaven Swallowing Skill!"

After a bellow, Stewart Anne’s face twisted in agony.

Torment made him scream repeatedly!

Soon enough, Stewart Anne transformed into a withered corpse and collapsed to the ground, dead.

I gazed at Stewart Anne’s remains, seized it and then hurled it into the yard.

When I returned home, I found, to my shock, that Victor Green was sprawled on the bed near death.

"Victor Green!" I instantly grew worried.

Hurrying over, I examined his wounds.

Luckily, Victor Green had merely passed out and hadn’t sustained any life-threatening injuries.

After I channeled some of my qi into him, Victor Green gradually opened his eyes.

"Mr. Raymond, earlier there was this elderly man..."

"I understand, just recover now," I cut Victor Green off.

I then turned and returned to my room to sit cross-legged in contemplation.

Concerning the Michelle’s Divine Needle that Stewart Anne fired, I felt somewhat concerned.

I didn’t dare delay, immediately closing my eyes and exploring my divine sense.

Within my golden divine sense, I spotted a tiny black mark.

This black spot was slowly expanding at a crawling speed.

"This looks bad," I muttered quietly.

I attempted using my divine sense to eliminate this black mark, yet discovered it was as if the spot was fused into my divine sense — it simply couldn’t be removed.

This made me feel incredibly troubled. While I didn’t know what effects this black spot would cause, if left alone, it would definitely create issues later.

That evening, I had tried every conceivable approach but still couldn’t remove the black spot. I could only stabilize it temporarily so it wouldn’t expand within my divine sense.

When I woke up, it was already the next day.

"I was sloppy, surprisingly caught off guard by him," I took a deep breath, a hint of gravity crossing my face.

By now, dawn had already broken.

As for the deadline set by Dimitri Brynlee, only the final day remained.

"Jasper Thompson should be escorting me to the battlefield today," I thought silently.

I didn’t have much time remaining, so I quickly began setting up the formation.

I could sense the power left by the Earth Fiend Valley Ancestor was fading and vanishing.

Soon, my disguise will be exposed.

This formation wasn’t challenging for me, but this location was peaceful ground, and lacked any dark energy to sustain it.

While pondering, I suddenly remembered the stone statues!

The stone statues held limitless dark energy. If utilized as the formation cores, this issue would naturally be resolved!

"I’m a damn genius!" I thought internally.

Naturally, using the stone statue as the formation core also carried dangers.

If it were discovered, it might be demolished.

If that happened, the formation would crumble immediately as well.

I located a fairly hidden spot and positioned the stone statue there.

After inspecting several times and confirming there were no issues, I finally relaxed.

Right then, Jasper Thompson and Watson Thompson showed up at the entrance.

The moment she stepped out of the vehicle, Watson eagerly rushed toward me.

"Mason, I need your assistance with something crucial. You absolutely must help me!" Watson Thompson seemed quite frantic.

I asked helplessly, "What is it now?"

Watson explained, "It’s that Cornel Drake from yesterday evening. He claims he wants to take a walk with you."

"Walk?" I frowned.

Without hesitation, I declined, "I’m not interested."

"Oh, if you refuse to go, he’ll definitely give me trouble." Watson mumbled softly.

I scoffed, "I have plenty to handle, no time to amuse you children."

Jasper Thompson also chided from nearby, "Watson, quit causing problems, I have some serious matters to discuss with your brother Mason today."

Though she looked reluctant, Watson dutifully moved to one side.

——

Jasper Thompson approached; he gestured at the corpse in the yard and inquired with a creased brow, "What occurred here?"

Mason Raymond said, "This person is from the Michelle Sect, he assaulted me last night, so I eliminated him."

"Michelle Sect?!" Jasper’s expression slightly shifted, a grave look appearing on his face.

"Jasper, you’re familiar with the Michelle Sect?" Mason Raymond asked.

Jasper nodded slightly, reflecting, "Years back, the Michelle Sect was creating chaos under Michelle’s name, causing destruction, and gathering a massive following. It’s rumored that there were individuals exceeding the Grandmaster Position among them."

"Just a few years past, after Ignacio Richard intervened, they got driven out of Pyro territory."

"Abroad, they thrived unchallenged with numerous experts under their command."

Mason Raymond nodded, gaining a basic grasp of the Michelle Sect.

"How did you manage to antagonize such an organization?" Jasper Thompson asked, frowning.
