Chapter 211: Chapter 211 - Golden Light Awakens

So Tristin Schroeder had actually died?

"Miss Sean, she..."

"Leonardo!" Conrad Schroeder snapped, cutting off Uncle Armando’s words.

Seeing this, Uncle Armando fell silent.

I vaguely grasped something in my mind, but I kept quiet.

I wasn’t sure when it began, but my heart had grown increasingly cold.

"Go ahead, I’ll drop by the Schroeder family when I get a chance," I said.

Conrad eagerly bowed and replied, "Alright, Mr. Raymond, I’ll be expecting you at our house."

After they departed, I sat cross-legged on the bed.

Ever since I’d awakened, there had been a golden light flickering in my mind.

Though only the size of a rice grain, this golden light gave me a sense of extraordinary power.

"What is this thing?" I closed my eyes slightly, sensing the golden glow in my mind.

Soon, I discovered that the golden light seemed to respond to my thoughts.

"Mental power?" I speculated.

Could the brutal strike from the Spirit Whip have triggered the development of mental power in me?

Typically, only those at the Nascent Soul Stage could cultivate divine sense, but I was currently just at the Foundation Establishment Stage.

"It’s truly a blessing in disguise," I couldn’t help but murmur to myself.

Since awakening, I felt my mental power had increased several times over.

Considering this, there was only one explanation - the Spirit Whip’s impact on my mind had produced this result.

After spending the entire morning in bed, I made my way to the Schroeder family’s estate in the afternoon.

As the leading family in Chuzzle, the Schroeder family’s power shouldn’t be underestimated.

They not only possessed several Grandmasters, but their wealth was distributed across the entire province.

Rumors suggested their assets reached tens of billions of dollars.

My arrival clearly caused unease among the crowd.

Everyone stared at me with hostility, as if they wished to devour me completely.

I paid no mind and walked directly into the Schroeder family’s manor.

"Mr. Raymond." Upon seeing me, Conrad quickly rose to his feet.

I nodded slightly. Looking at Conrad, I asked, "As the premier family among the Schroeders, you should have substantial medicine reserves, correct?" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Hearing this, Conrad shook his head, "Mr. Raymond, I’ve been in isolation for three years, and our medicine supplies have been entirely exhausted."

"That’s unfortunate, really," I sighed softly.

"Mr. Raymond, these are our family’s holdings. Please have a look." Uncle Armando presented the prepared documents to me.

I took them and examined them thoroughly.

"These assets are truly incredible," I couldn’t help but remark as I reviewed the papers.

The Schroeder family’s influence spanned various sectors, including educational institutions and medical facilities.

They owned 80% of the shares in one of the elite schools!

This school alone generated enormous annual income for the Schroeder family!

And I would become the new proprietor of all these holdings.

"I’ll only claim 50% of the Schroeder family’s earnings," I said while handling the document.

Conrad quickly nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Raymond!"

Being allowed to retain 50% was already tremendous luck for Conrad.

"Oh, free Victor Green. He’s imprisoned at the Martial Arts Association. Also, release everyone else who was jailed due to personal vendettas," I told Conrad.

"Yes, master. I’ll contact the Martial Arts Association immediately," Conrad hurriedly agreed.

Following that, I stood up and departed from the Schroeder family.

After leaving the Schroeder estate, I drove directly to the Martial Arts Association’s detention facility.

This time, nobody at the Martial Arts Association dared to block my path, and everyone was trying to curry favor with me.

I waited by the entrance for a brief moment, and Victor Green soon appeared from the Martial Arts Association.

The instant he spotted me, he eagerly ran over.

"Mr. Raymond, I knew you had to be alright!" Victor Green said joyfully.

I patted his shoulder and said, "Alright, let’s go. I don’t want to spend another second here."

"Okay!" Victor Green nodded enthusiastically.

After departing from the Martial Arts Association, we found somewhere to dine.

Victor Green devoured his food during this meal.

During his imprisonment at the Martial Arts Association, Victor Green seldom had a proper meal.

After we finished eating, I casually inquired, "Weren’t you searching for your sister? Where is she currently?"

Victor Green sighed and replied, "I haven’t met my sister yet; I was imprisoned before I could."

I chuckled and said, "Have your sister remain in Shiglance City. The educational opportunities are superior here anyway."

Somewhere during my journey in the Foundation Establishment Stage, I had come to realize the significance of resources more and more.

The same potential nurtured in different circumstances would produce completely different outcomes.

Victor Green nodded and said, "Alright."

"I’ll accompany you to collect your sister tomorrow," I laughed.

Victor Green immediately agreed, "Okay!"

Right after, Victor Green pulled out his phone and sent his sister an advance message.

The next evening.

Victor Green and I got into our vehicle and drove toward the school.

The school Victor Green’s sister attended was named Reese Primary School, a distinguished institution in Chuzzle.

Most of the pupils here came from wealthy or influential families, even Watson Thompson had once been a student at this school.

When we arrived at the gate, it was dismissal time for the children.

The entrance was crowded with expensive cars, Bentleys and Rolls-Royces were visible everywhere.

As soon as our car stopped, Victor Green’s expression shifted slightly.

He pointed toward the entrance and said, "That’s my sister!"

Looking in that direction, I saw an 11 or 12-year-old girl standing at the gate with her head lowered.

Before her stood an overweight woman, pointing and berating the little girl continuously.

Witnessing this scene, Victor Green grew agitated.

Before our car had completely stopped, he hastily jumped out and rushed over.

I frowned, parked the car properly, and followed behind.

"You little wretch, hurry up and apologize to my son!" The fat woman pointed at Erin Green and shouted.

Erin kept her head down, not daring to utter a sound.

"Ma’am, what... what’s happening?" Victor Green hurriedly approached and shielded his sister behind him.

The fat woman glared at Victor Green and snapped, "What’s it to you? What’s your connection with this little wretch?"

"She’s my sister," Victor Green explained as courteously as he could.

The fat woman looked Victor Green up and down and said mockingly, "Oh, she’s your sister? Do you realize that this little wretch bullied my son?"

"Impossible, my sister would never bully anyone! Besides, how could she, a small girl, overpower your son?" Victor Green glanced at the fat woman’s chubby little boy and couldn’t help but frown.

"How is it impossible? Stop your nonsense, make this little wretch apologize to my son right now!"

The little boy next to the fat woman even approached and kicked Erin, then stuck his tongue out at her.

Victor Green’s face darkened slightly. He knelt down and whispered, "Erin, what actually happened?"

Erin shook her head, remaining silent, but her eyes were filled with terror.

"Just speak your mind; don’t be scared, nobody’s going to hurt you." At this moment, I walked over.

I patted Erin’s head, smiling as I spoke.
