Chapter 202: Chapter 202 - Caged

"Mason Raymond, who’s gonna believe a word you say?" Freddie Abel arched an eyebrow.

Rage exploded through me, murderous energy radiating from my body!

Sensing this deadly aura, Freddie Abel didn’t flinch.

He smirked, "What, you wanna kill me? Got the guts?"

I teetered on the edge of losing control, but Mabel Sean’s face kept flashing through my mind.

"No, I can’t destroy everything..." I gritted my teeth.

I shut my eyes and breathed slowly, forcing myself to calm down.

Freddie Abel sneered, "Stay put and behave yourself."

The car raced forward and soon reached Shiglance City.

What caught me off guard was that they didn’t take me to the Patrol Department. Instead, we went to some remote location.

A massive cage stood there, with bold letters across the top: Martial Arts Association Prisoner Penitentiary.

I stared up at the sign, my brow furrowing.

What the hell is this place? I’ve never heard of it.

"Get out." Freddie Abel gestured for me to exit the car.

I climbed out, trailing behind Freddie Abel to the entrance.

Soon, someone emerged from inside.

Looking closer, I was shocked—this guy was a Grandmaster!

"Mr. Estelle, I’m handing this one over to you." Freddie Abel reported with a slight smile.

The man called Mr. Estelle nodded and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll handle this strictly."

Then Freddie Abel turned to me.

He smiled coldly, "This place is specifically designed to deal with martial artists like you, and I happen to be the Vice President here."

This was my first time learning about the Martial Arts Association and what they actually did.

But... this place seemed completely outside official jurisdiction?

"Don’t even think about escaping. If you try, you’ll be labeled a fugitive." Once again, Freddie Abel read my thoughts.

I felt uneasy. I shot Freddie Abel a cold look, my eyes filled with killing intent.

"Freddie Abel, you’ll pay for this." My voice was ice-cold.

"Are you threatening me?" Freddie Abel broke into laughter.

"I suggest you figure out how to get out of here first." Freddie Abel kept sneering.

Then Mr. Estelle waved his hand, and two more Grandmasters came out.

They grabbed my arms and dragged me toward the detention area.

"Get in!" We reached a cage, and the two men roughly shoved me inside.

The cage locked shut, and darkness swallowed everything around me.

I opened my palm, letting a bit of spiritual fire fall into my hand.

Using the spiritual fire’s light, I looked around.

The conditions were terrible—no light, nowhere to sleep.

I tried sensing the surrounding spiritual energy, but it seemed blocked in this place.

"Am I gonna die here?" I scowled deeply.

I never expected Conrad Schroeder would stoop to such dirty tricks!

——

At the Schroeder Family estate.

"Master, Mason Raymond has been taken to the detention center. Naomi Estelle is preparing the paperwork. Once the documents are ready, Mason Raymond will definitely die." Uncle Leonardo reported.

Conrad Schroeder struggled to sit up in bed and said coldly, "Spread this news! I want everyone in Chuzzle to know that nobody can oppose the Schroeder family!"

"Yes!" Uncle Leonardo replied quickly.

The next day.

The news spread like wildfire throughout River City.

This time, people’s attitudes toward Conrad Schroeder were mixed with both anger and fear.

"This Conrad Schroeder is really shameless, using such dirty methods when he can’t win fair and square!"

"Crushing Mason Raymond with connections, so disgusting!"

"Sigh, there’s no choice. The Schroeder family has too many connections in Chuzzle. Who can have a good ending after crossing them?"

Everyone was talking, and this time they started feeling sorry for Mason Raymond.

After all, over the years in Chuzzle, Mason Raymond was the only one who dared to challenge the Schroeder family and actually succeeded.

——

At this time, Jasper Thompson also got the news.

"Dad, you have to find a way to save Mason Raymond!" Watson Thompson tugged on Jasper Thompson’s arm, sounding quite anxious.

Jasper Thompson looked extremely troubled. He was chain-smoking.

"I didn’t expect Conrad Schroeder to use such methods to crush Mason Raymond." Jasper Thompson said in a heavy voice.

But for Jasper Thompson, this matter was quite tricky.

Since Conrad Schroeder was the top dog in Chuzzle, his relationship with the Martial Arts Association was extremely tight.

There were even early rumors that the Martial Arts Association was the Schroeder family’s backyard.

Even if Jasper Thompson went to ask for someone, the Martial Arts Association might not show him any respect!

"Dad, you’re not saying anything!" Watson Thompson said anxiously.

Jasper Thompson stayed quiet for a moment, then stood up and said, "I’ll go talk to Conrad Schroeder. Maybe there’s still a chance to turn things around."

With that, Jasper Thompson quickly got up and personally drove to the Schroeder Family.

At the Schroeder Family estate.

Jasper Thompson sat beside Conrad Schroeder’s bed and said politely, "Mr. Schroeder, how’s your health?"

Conrad Schroeder smiled faintly, "I’ve almost completely recovered. I believe it won’t be long before I return to peak condition."

This seemingly simple statement was actually a warning.

Jasper Thompson could naturally pick up on the warning in his words, his expression becoming somewhat awkward.

"Chief Thompson, if you have something to tell me, just say it directly." Conrad Schroeder said indifferently.

Seeing this, Jasper Thompson dropped the small talk.

He went straight to the point and said, "Mr. Schroeder, I came about Mason Raymond’s situation. If my small reputation still means something, I hope you can spare Mason Raymond."

Hearing this, Conrad Schroeder couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

"Reputation?" Conrad Schroeder raised an eyebrow.

"Chief Thompson, as I understand it, haven’t you retired?" Conrad Schroeder said with a half-smile.

Jasper Thompson frowned and said seriously, "What do you mean?"

"What do I mean?" Conrad Schroeder sneered repeatedly.

"Mr. Thompson, I have to tell you, if this were the past, I’d still fear you a bit! Now you’ve retired and no longer hold any real power!"

"Give you face? What are you?" Conrad Schroeder shouted!

Upon hearing Conrad Schroeder’s words, Jasper Thompson’s face immediately turned extremely ugly!

He had guessed that Conrad Schroeder would refuse, but he didn’t expect him to be so rude!

"Conrad Schroeder, do you think you’re the one running things in Chuzzle!" Jasper Thompson glared furiously at Conrad Schroeder.

Conrad Schroeder snorted coldly, "At least it’s not you running things."

"Also, let me tell you, not only do I want to lock Mason Raymond up, but I also want him to die in there!"

"In Chuzzle, even if you have great abilities, what good does it do? As long as I say so, even a genius must die young!"

Jasper Thompson flushed red with anger. He pointed at Conrad Schroeder and said, "Conrad Schroeder, I won’t let this slide!"

"Ha ha ha! You can go to the Martial Arts Association yourself and ask for him. Let’s see if they show you any face." Conrad Schroeder scoffed.

Jasper Thompson gritted his teeth. Without saying another word, he turned around and left the Schroeder Family estate.
