Chapter 195: Chapter 195 - Bold Return

Jasper Thompson stood there in silence for a long time, then quickly followed. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

My return to Chuzzle wasn’t widely publicized. The first thing I did after getting back was head straight to the Blake family. They were probably the most severely impacted by everything that had happened, and I couldn’t justify not visiting them first.

Outside the Blake residence, my Audi RS9 sat parked at the door, fully repaired now. Looking at the car, an inexplicable pain welled up in my heart. Though I understood that Blair Blake’s support stemmed only from calculated interests, few people would believe me about that now.

I took a deep breath and pushed open the door to enter, but Sawyer Blake emerged from inside at that very moment. The second his eyes found mine, they erupted with uncontrollable rage.

"Mason, you bastard! It’s because of you my son’s in a vegetative state! Give me back my son’s life!" Sawyer’s fists pounded repeatedly against my body.

I remained motionless, allowing his blows to land wherever they might. Eventually, Sawyer seemed to tire from the hitting and collapsed onto the ground, looking utterly exhausted.

I sighed softly, bent down, and gently patted his shoulder. "Uncle Sawyer, I will avenge Blair, and I will treat his illness as well," I promised sincerely.

Sawyer glanced coldly at me and sneered. "Avenge? If you dared to avenge him, why did you flee abroad?"

I knew that saying more would be useless, so I stopped speaking and walked directly into Blair’s room. He lay motionless in bed, and if not for his shallow breathing, anyone might have mistaken him for dead.

I sat beside Blair and quietly said, "Blair, I will remember your kindness." After sitting by his bedside for a long time, I finally left the Blake house.

"Mason, I’ll definitely tell Conrad Schroeder that you’ve come back," Sawyer called coldly after me.

I stopped in my tracks. With my back still to him, I said solemnly, "No need to bother. I’ll tell him in person." After those words, I left the Blake house.

Besides Blair, Turner Keira, Jack Schultz, and even Elder Drake were all targeted for revenge. The one who suffered most severely was Turner Keira. While Conrad Schroeder hadn’t killed Turner, he’d destroyed his entire cultivation, turning a veteran Grandmaster into a disabled man.

When I arrived at the Keira house, Turner was sitting at the doorway, looking like a prematurely aged old man. Those who once surrounded him had abandoned him, leaving him alone in the now-empty manor, looking incredibly lonely.

"Mr. Raymond," Turner acknowledged me without much surprise in his voice.

I spoke solemnly, "Mr. Keira, you could have begged Conrad Schroeder for mercy and avoided this catastrophe."

A bitter smile flashed across Turner’s face. "Conrad Schroeder said he would rather kill a thousand by mistake than let one escape. Do you think begging would have helped?" Pain crossed his features. "I did beg for mercy, but the result was saving only one life. For me, losing all my cultivation is no different than death."

Turner’s voice trembled slightly, making even me feel the depth of his bitterness.

"Turner, I will take responsibility for the mistakes I made," I said solemnly.

Turner shook his head and smiled bitterly. "There’s no use saying that. I’m now alone and helpless. Even if you kill Conrad Schroeder, what’s the point?"

In his lifetime, Turner had devoted himself to martial arts and never married or had children. For him, martial arts were his entire life. Now that his cultivation was destroyed, life truly seemed worse than death.

I raised my hand and placed it on Turner’s lower abdomen.

"What are you doing?" Turner frowned.

"Turner Keira, this might be an opportunity for you," I spoke solemnly.

"Opportunity?" A hint of anger flashed across Turner Keira’s face. "When I found out that you were an alchemist, I thought I had found an opportunity. But what was the result? My cultivation ruined, and I became a cripple!" Turner glared at me, his rage finally exploding after several days of restraint.

I remained silent for a moment before slowly saying, "There are more than one ways to cultivate. As long as your dantian isn’t shattered, you might be able to break through to the Grandmaster level again."

Turner appeared stunned, his eyes filling with confusion. But I didn’t explain further, instead patting him on the shoulder and saying, "In three days, after I slaughter Conrad Schroeder, I will compensate you." With that, I left the Keira family residence.

Although my return wasn’t widely publicized, news still spread throughout Chuzzle. Almost everyone knew about it.

"Mason Raymond is actually back!"

"It seems he can’t bear it any longer, after all, the Schroeder Family’s methods are unimaginable."

"Hehe, what’s the difference between his return this time and going to his death?"

People couldn’t stop talking, and the Schroeder Family inevitably received the news.

"Master, Mason Raymond has returned," Uncle Leonardo stood beside Conrad Schroeder and reported in a somber tone.

A fierce expression flashed across Conrad Schroeder’s face. "Mason Raymond... you dare to come back! I want to tear you to pieces!" A murderous spirit emanated from Conrad, turning the entire room into something akin to an ice coffin.

"Leonardo, let’s go right away. I’m going to kill this Mason Raymond," Conrad said coldly.

At that moment, a disciple of the Schroeder Family suddenly ran in. "Master, Mason Raymond has sent a letter!" the disciple announced anxiously.

Conrad quickly took the letter. Upon opening it, it was clearly written with just two characters: Challenge. The time and location were also provided, along with some choice insults.

"I will avenge my friend by cutting off your dog’s head."

"In three days, meet at the Eastern Cemetery."

"I hope you have your neck clean and keep your appointment."

Seeing the contents of the challenge letter, Conrad was furious. "It’s been a long time since anyone has dared to speak to me like that!" He tore the challenge letter into pieces.

"This Mason Raymond really doesn’t know how to live or die," Uncle Leonardo couldn’t help but sigh. Conrad was a Grandmaster, a truly top-tier existence – how could Mason Raymond possibly compare?

"Reply to him, saying that in three days, I will go to the Eastern Cemetery to avenge my son," Conrad said coldly.

"Yes," Uncle Leonardo nodded quickly.

The news spread rapidly, and Mason Raymond’s challenge to Conrad Schroeder became the talk of the town.

"Mason Raymond really has huge guts, actually daring to challenge Conrad Schroeder!"

"I heard he deliberately chose the cemetery as the venue – is it to make burying his own corpse more convenient?"

"If this young man could actually win, he’ll surely achieve great things in the future!"

Everyone was surprised that Mason Raymond hadn’t gone into hiding but instead actively provoked the confrontation.

Roberts Joshua, responsible for secretly observing the situation, couldn’t help but sigh as well. "Mason Raymond’s courage really exceeds my imagination," Roberts took a puff of his cigarette and murmured to himself.

At that moment, his phone suddenly rang. He saw it was a text message from Mabel Sean.
