Chapter 177: Chapter 177 - Name Resounds

He had personally sought out Tristin Schroeder before and knew his temperament well.

For years, Tristin Schroeder had been a dominant figure in Chuzzle.

Back then, Mason Raymond hadn’t even entered the picture.

"This time, Mason might have finally met his match," Uncle Jasper sighed heavily.

As everyone sat worrying, the door suddenly swung open.

All heads turned instinctively, only to see Mason walking in carrying a box of herbs.

I noticed everyone staring at me with anxious faces as I entered the room.

"Why is everyone gathered here?" I asked with a casual smile.

They all gaped at me, clearly surprised by my relaxed demeanor.

"Mason, you’re... you’re okay?" Uncle Jasper jumped to his feet first, his eyes wide with shock.

I shrugged lightly. "What did you expect to happen to me?"

Their confusion only deepened. Perhaps they thought Tristin Schroeder and I had reached some kind of understanding?

"Didn’t Tristin Schroeder come looking for you?" Blair Blake asked, his brow furrowed deeply.

"He certainly did," I replied, casually shaking the herbs in my hand. Then I laughed and added, "If he hadn’t come looking for me, where would I have gotten these herbs from?"

Blair swallowed hard.

"You mean... Tristin Schroeder gave you these herbs?" he asked incredulously.

I nodded. "They were rightfully mine to begin with. I simply took back what belonged to me."

"Tristin Schroeder was that reasonable?" Uncle Jasper looked thoroughly unconvinced.

He clearly remembered Tristin swearing vengeance against me. How could he possibly have handed over the herbs willingly?

"Uncle Jasper, you’ve got it wrong," I shook my head. "If I hadn’t taught him a lesson, he wouldn’t have given me anything."

Lesson?

That word caused everyone to gasp in unison!

"What did you do to Tristin Schroeder?" Uncle Jasper asked anxiously.

I gave him a cold glance. "Severe injury. But with the Schroeder family’s resources, he should pull through."

Uncle Jasper’s face contorted with shock!

Blair Blake looked even more stunned, dropping heavily onto the bed.

"You actually struck Tristin Schroeder?" Uncle Jasper grabbed my arm tightly.

I frowned. "He attacked me first."

Uncle Jasper hastily made a phone call.

After confirming I wasn’t lying, his face turned deathly pale.

"Mason, leave Chuzzle immediately! I’ll arrange somewhere safe for you. Go now!" Uncle Jasper urged desperately.

"Leave? Where would I go? Why should I run?" I shook my head firmly.

Uncle Jasper spoke frantically, "I don’t know how to make you understand. Simply put, you cannot afford to offend the Schroeder family!"

"I’m not going anywhere," I refused without hesitation. "Even if I could leave, the Schroeder family would just target those close to me. I’ll take responsibility for my own actions."

Uncle Jasper pleaded, "This isn’t the time to be stubborn! Listen to me and leave now!"

But I remained resolute in my decision to stay.

After my confrontation with Tristin Schroeder, I’d discovered something significant:

The power of cultivation vastly outweighed martial cultivation.

Although my energy seemed equivalent to a second-rank master of internal power, I faced no pressure whatsoever against someone from the Grandmaster Realm.

This confirmed that within the same rank, martial cultivators and true cultivators operated on completely different levels.

Because of this, I didn’t fear the Schroeder family at all.

"Uncle Jasper, Blair, I appreciate your concern, but there’s no need to worry," I said calmly. "If you’re afraid of being implicated, you can distance yourselves from me immediately."

Uncle Jasper’s expression grew solemn. "Mason, what nonsense is that? Although I can’t challenge the Schroeder family, they can’t do anything to me either!"

I considered this for a moment. "That’s true."

Then I turned to Blair Blake.

"Blair, your situation differs from Uncle Jasper’s. You’re a businessman with many constraints. If you want to leave now, I won’t hold it against you."

Blair’s face was grave, his emotions clearly conflicted.

As I had pointed out, anyone close to me would likely face repercussions from the Schroeder family.

Yet Blair seemed to be considering something else entirely.

The first time he met me, I was only slightly stronger than Bernard Colton, and even that had limitations.

But in this short month, I had not only beheaded a Grandmaster and confronted an elder Grandmaster, but now easily defeated the young master of the Schroeder family.

Such growth could only be described as terrifying!

Given enough time, the Schroeder family would pose no threat to me at all.

"I’m staying," Blair declared firmly.

He looked at me with a half-joking, half-serious expression. "If you rise to prominence someday, I don’t want to regret today’s decision."

I rolled my eyes. "I might die tomorrow, and then your bet would be lost."

"Then you’d better stay alive," Blair laughed, and I joined in.

"According to our original plan, you’ll accompany me tonight to find those herbs," I reminded him.

Blair nodded. "Of course. See you tonight."

Meanwhile, at the Schroeder residence.

Tristin Schroeder was rushed back home, covered in injuries—broken ribs and damage to his internal organs.

Looking at the bloodied Tristin, the family steward’s face turned cold.

"Uncle Armando, save my brother!" Anton Schroeder pleaded desperately.

Uncle Armando inhaled deeply. "Second young master, what happened? How did the young master end up like this?"

Anton clenched his teeth. "Mason Raymond did this!"

"Mason Raymond?" Uncle Armando’s expression shifted slightly.

Could this Mason Raymond truly be so formidable?

"Keep this matter quiet. Don’t let it spread," Uncle Armando ordered gravely.

If news got out, the Schroeder family’s reputation would be ruined.

Moreover, the credibility they’d built over years in Chuzzle might crumble.

But secrets rarely remain hidden.

That afternoon, after emergency treatment, Tristin clung to life.

However, he remained unconscious, in a vegetative state.

Despite the Schroeder family’s efforts to suppress the news, the story spread like wildfire throughout Chuzzle.

Suddenly, everyone was talking about it.

Mason Raymond was once again thrust into the spotlight!

His name finally resonated throughout all of Chuzzle!

In the shadows, Roberts Joshua sat in a car, his expression strange.

At Mabel Sean’s insistence, the Sean family had left Roberts in Chuzzle to secretly observe Mason.

Consequently, he’d learned about the incident quickly.

"Tristin Schroeder was reduced to a vegetable by Mason Raymond?" Roberts’s face betrayed his astonishment.

How could this young man’s progress be so rapid? And more puzzlingly... Mason seemed completely unfazed by it all!
