Chapter 136: Chapter 136 - Body Clash
"Hahaha, Mason Raymond, you really think highly of yourself! Ever since I’ve known Zachary Ortega, he has never been defeated!" Blaze Colton’s laughter filled the room, his confidence in Ortega unmistakable.
I didn’t bother responding to his taunts. Instead, I stepped forward with determination, clenching my fists with dragon-like intensity. With a thunderous "boom," I swung directly at Zachary Ortega’s chest.
His muscles tensed instantly beneath my blow, his body solid as steel. My punch barely affected him.
"Such a tough body," I thought, furrowing my brows slightly.
The Cross-training Master’s reputation wasn’t exaggerated at all. His physical development was truly remarkable.
Zachary maintained his expressionless demeanor, standing before me like some ancient war deity. His eyes locked with mine as he spoke calmly, "In addition to my tough body, my strength has also greatly improved."
I had to admit, his physique genuinely exceeded my expectations. The man was impressive, no question about it.
"Zachary Ortega! Kill him right now!" Blaze Colton shouted impatiently from the sidelines, clearly anxious about the outcome.
Zachary nodded once, fixing his gaze on me. "It’s my turn," he stated flatly.
The moment those words left his mouth, he lunged forward. His heavy footsteps shook the floor as he charged toward me like a living mountain. Despite his massive frame, his speed was astonishing.
His fist—large as a casserole dish—reached for my face almost faster than the eye could track.
"Bring it on!" I welcomed the challenge, my fighting spirit surging through my veins. Clenching my fists, I met his attack head-on once again.
Our fists collided with tremendous force, but this time with vastly different results. The impact sent my body flying backward until I crashed violently against the wall behind me.
The structure collapsed with a deafening roar, and countless fragments of concrete and plaster rained down on me. Dust filled the air, momentarily blocking everyone’s view of the aftermath.
"Good, good! Hahahaha!" Blaze Colton’s excited cheering echoed through the haze. "Zachary Ortega, I knew you wouldn’t let me down!"
Zachary remained silent, staring intently at the pile of debris that had buried me.
Suddenly, a burst of light flashed from within the rubble. "Buzz!" The fragmented stones blasted outward in all directions, scattering across the room.
I rose slowly from the wreckage, my clothes torn to shreds, revealing my hardened physique. Far from weakened, the encounter had only intensified my fighting spirit.
"You’re stronger than I thought," I acknowledged, my expression serious.
Zachary’s talent wasn’t particularly exceptional—similar to Apollo Leah, who had stagnated at the Peak Form of Inner Strength Masters for years. The difference was that while Apollo remained stuck, Zachary had forged ahead along a different path, cultivating an extraordinarily formidable physical form.
"He’s still alive!" Blaze Colton’s angry voice cut through the silence as he gritted his teeth in frustration. Hastily, he barked another order at Zachary: "Kill him quickly!"
Zachary fixed me with a cold stare. "Since you know my strength now, you might as well leave and never return to the Colton Family."
"Zachary Ortega, what the fuck are you talking about? I want you to kill him!" Blaze Colton screamed from a distance, his face contorted with rage.
I remained composed, meeting Zachary’s gaze steadily. "Thank you for your kindness. To repay you, I will spare your life as well."
Zachary’s brow furrowed slightly, and the light surrounding his massive body intensified.
"Mason Raymond, since that’s the case, don’t blame me for being ruthless." As he spoke, his muscles swelled dramatically, veins bulging like writhing serpents beneath his skin.
I stood unruffled, completely indifferent to his display of power.
"Mason Raymond, it’s over." Zachary roared as the faint light around him suddenly concentrated into his fist, making it shine brilliantly.
With another thunderous cry, he launched his attack. The force of his punch preceded his fist, instantly filling the living room with flying debris. Tables and chairs shattered in the wake of his power.
"So powerful!" I heard Bernard Colton gasp from somewhere in the room.
"Bring it on!" I remained unfazed as a faint blue light emerged around my body, merging with my form and enveloping my fist.
"If you can break through this, I’ll submit to you!" I shouted, clashing head-on with Zachary for the third time.
"Boom!"
Our collision released such tremendous power that the entire room’s structure gave way. Walls crumbled around us as Bernard Colton, Blaze Colton, and Grayson Damon were all sent flying by the shockwave.
Dust and debris filled the air, blinding everyone momentarily.
"What happened? Is Mason Raymond dead?" Blaze Colton’s anxious voice cut through the chaos as he scrambled to his feet.
Just then, the dust before him stirred violently. A figure suddenly flew backward through the haze, crashing into the wall with such speed that nobody could clearly identify who it was.
"Well, is Mason Raymond dead?" Blaze Colton repeated desperately.
From the new pile of rubble, a figure emerged slowly. It was Zachary Ortega, covered in wounds, his face a mask of shock and disbelief.
"How is this possible? How can your body be stronger than mine?!" he shouted, his pupils contracting with the realization that he had been defeated.
