Chapter 135: Chapter 135 - Iron Tower

I sensed the murderous spirit radiating from both Colton men as their expressions instantly darkened with fear when they felt my killing intent.

"Mason Raymond, I believe there’s no deep-seated hatred between us. Why don’t we sit down and talk?" Blaze Colton backed down, his voice wavering slightly.

I couldn’t help but scoff at his sudden change in attitude. "Okay, first kneel and apologize to me, then we can talk."

Blaze gritted his teeth, his face flushing. "Mason Raymond, do you think this is an appropriate way to discuss things? Asking us to kneel, don’t you think that’s excessive?"

"Excessive?" My face drained of color as anger bubbled inside me.

I fixed a cold eye on Blaze Colton. "When you hired someone to kill me, did you think that was excessive? Now I only want you to kneel and apologize, and you find it unjust?"

Blaze was immediately at a loss for words, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

"Mason Raymond." He finally inhaled deeply, gathering his composure.

"I genuinely want to talk to you. Are you determined to burn all bridges?" His voice rose to a roar.

Hearing this pathetic attempt at negotiation, I burst into hearty laughter.

"Blaze Colton, do you not find your words laughable? If Apollo Leah had succeeded in killing me, would I still be standing here? Or if I were just an ordinary unarmed man, would you still want to discuss things peacefully?" My voice thundered around us, echoing off the walls.

Blaze immediately fell silent, his confidence visibly crumbling.

After a moment, he said, "Water Dragon Cave has already been given to you. You can make other requests."

"I only want you and your son to kneel and admit your mistakes," I pointed to the ground, my patience wearing thin.

Blaze sighed, speaking slowly. "I’m already at my age, asking me to kneel. Do you think it’s appropriate? Can we sit and talk first?"

He appeared sincere, but I caught the cunning glint that flashed in his eyes. Though fleeting, it didn’t escape my notice.

"Mr. Colton, a trick used twice loses its effect," I scoffed, crossing my arms.

Blaze’s face twisted as he feigned confusion. "What do you mean?"

"You’re biding your time, waiting for Zachary Ortega, right?" I coldly responded, watching his reaction carefully.

His expression changed drastically again! He clearly never expected I would see through his intentions so easily.

"Well, I’ll give you this opportunity. After all, I want to see what Zachary Ortega is capable of too," I said indifferently, curiosity piquing my interest.

Just as I finished speaking, a hulking man who towered over everyone like an iron tower walked in through the door! The burly man stood more than two meters tall, appearing like a miniature mountain in human form.

"Zachary Ortega, you finally came!" Blaze immediately rejoiced and ran toward Zachary without another word.

Zachary swayed his enormous body, bending slightly. "Mr. Colton, sorry I’m late."

"Not late, not late, just in time!" Blaze was clearly smug, his earlier fear replaced with arrogance.

He glared at me with a sinister grin. "You’re still too young. Me, apologize to you? Do you think you deserve it?"

Upon hearing his words, I couldn’t help but shake my head slightly. This Blaze Colton was truly a cunning fox.

"Zachary Ortega, don’t waste time talking to him. Kill him now!" Blaze pointed at me and commanded.

Zachary didn’t say anything. He simply rolled his massive fists and started walking toward me, each step heavy against the floor.

Our eyes locked, forming a striking contrast between his towering height and my more modest stature. But I felt no panic, maintaining extreme calm as I assessed my opponent.

"Mason Raymond, you are truly courageous. To be honest, I somewhat admire you." Suddenly, Zachary spoke, his voice deep and rumbling.

My eyebrows raised with interest. "Oh?"

Zachary sighed, looking genuinely respectful. "Taking on a Family single-handedly is something I’ve thought about, but dared not to do, so I admire you for that."

"Stop wasting time chit-chatting, fucking chop him down now!" Blaze couldn’t help but curse, his impatience showing.

Zachary continued, ignoring his employer. "Unfortunately, I owe the Colton Family a favor, so I must do their bidding. So... time to take action."

The man took a step back, seemingly waiting for me to make the first move, showing an unexpected sense of honor.

"Guess I’ll have to offend you then," I said without further ado. I charged directly at him, channeling my spiritual power into my strike!

Zachary coolly raised his fists, which were as big as sandpots, and smashed down forcefully!

There was a loud "boom"! His gigantic body was pushed back three to four steps!

At the same time, I was also forced to take several steps back, the impact leaving my wrist throbbing with pain. I hadn’t expected such resistance.

"Such a hard body!" Surprise flashed through my mind as I reassessed my opponent.

Zachary also exclaimed, "Indeed, you are the one who killed Apollo Leah."

"Zachary Ortega, are you fucking trying to screw me over? Hurry up and kill him!" Blaze burst into curses, his face reddening with anger.

Zachary ignored Blaze, staring intently at me. He slowly said, "Mason Raymond, paid by the Colton Family, I must do their bidding. So, today I have to kill you."

After those words, Zachary took off his shirt, revealing his muscular physique. At a glance, his muscles looked like hard rocks embedded on his body, glistening under the lights!

"What a powerful build!" I was even more surprised, recognizing this was no ordinary muscular man. Zachary’s muscles appeared like a suit of armor covering his entire body!

"I don’t have many hobbies, just obsessed with martial arts. I am only an Inner Strength Master, but I’m also a Cross-Training Master," Zachary stated, his massive body swaying slightly.

"Cross-Training Master?" I was somewhat surprised, recalling what I knew about such practitioners.

I had heard of Cross-training Masters, who focus on training their bodies to become as hard as rocks! It is said that top-level Cross-Training Masters could even withstand bullets without injury.

"I heard that the bodies of Cross-Training Masters are like steel, not sure if it’s actually true," I said with some anticipation. In comparison to this man, Apollo Leah was simply insignificant!

Zachary said in a deep voice, "Try for yourself and find out."

Afterward, he let out a roar, his muscles suddenly swelling even more! Not only that, his body seemed to be coated in a layer of gold, shining brightly under the room’s lighting.

"Using Inner Strength in conjunction with my Cross-Training, my body has become indestructible. Even a Grandmaster does not scare me," Zachary said coldly, his confidence apparent.

"Incredible!" I couldn’t help but express my admiration for such dedication to the craft.

"I must admit, if it weren’t for Zachary Ortega, Marshall Clive would really not be a match for the Colton Family," I muttered, reassessing the power dynamics at play.

Blaze smirked nearby, his confidence fully restored. "Of course. If Zachary Ortega didn’t spare the old and the young, Apollo Leah would’ve been dead a long time ago!"

I softly nodded, acknowledging the truth in his words, then abruptly changed the subject, my voice taking on an ominous tone. "It’s a pity that the Colton Family offended someone they shouldn’t have."
