Chapter 110: Chapter 110 - Unbroken Will

Bernard Colton’s tone sent an uncomfortable chill through Victor Green’s body.

Victor caught the mocking look on Bernard’s face as the man asked, "What happens if I decide to enter anyway?"

Victor’s expression hardened instantly. Through clenched teeth, he replied, "Then I’d have to apologize for what comes next."

A burst of laughter escaped Bernard’s throat. "A mere seventh-rank Inner Strength user speaks such bold words to me? Have you lost your mind?"

The statement made Victor’s blood run cold. If Bernard could identify his rank so precisely, it meant the man’s abilities far surpassed his own.

"Don’t bother guessing," Bernard said with contempt. "I am a Master of Inner Strength, second rank. Now step aside!" The command rang with authority.

The gulf between a seventh-rank user and a second-rank Master was vast as the distance between earth and heaven. Victor stood no chance, yet he remained firmly planted, blocking Bernard’s path.

"Young Lord Colton, please understand. Mr. Raymond isn’t—"

"Smack!"

Victor’s words were cut short by Bernard’s palm striking his face with brutal force.

"Who do you think you are? Nothing but a guard dog daring to obstruct me!" Bernard’s voice dropped to an icy tone. "Move now or I’ll destroy you." The murderous intent radiating from him was palpable.

Victor, jaw clenched against the pain, responded, "Bernard Colton, I’ve already told you—Mr. Raymond is not receiving visitors."

"Quite the faithful hound." Bernard’s expression grew colder.

One of Bernard’s attendants stepped forward. "Young Lord, allow us to handle this insignificant obstacle."

Bernard dismissed the suggestion with a casual wave. "No need. I’ll deal with him personally." His gaze fixed on Victor as he continued dispassionately, "Boy, I’ll demonstrate what a Master’s power truly means."

Without further warning, Bernard balled his fist and charged toward Victor.

Recognizing the overwhelming difference in their abilities, Victor attempted to retreat.

"Too slow," Bernard scoffed. With one powerful stomp, he materialized directly before Victor.

His fist crashed into Victor’s chest with devastating impact.

Victor’s body flew backward, skidding several meters across the ground before he managed to stop himself. Blood sprayed from his mouth upon impact.

"Such strength..." Victor’s face drained of color. Masters of Inner Strength were truly terrifying.

"Is that the best you can offer?" Bernard taunted.

With effortless grace, he closed the distance between them again.

"Just a watchdog, but today I’ll entertain myself with you properly." Bernard loomed over Victor, provocatively beckoning him with one finger.

Victor struggled to his feet, teeth gritted in determination.

The moment he stood upright, Bernard delivered a vicious kick that sent him flying again, this time crashing violently against the nearby wall.

"What’s the matter? Can’t even stand?" Bernard’s voice dripped with mockery.

"Bernard Colton—you’ve gone too far!" Victor roared, leaping up with renewed fury.

He charged forward, fists clenched tightly, determination blazing in his eyes.

"Foolish to the point of suicide," Bernard remarked coldly.

As Victor’s punch approached, Bernard simply extended his hand and caught the fist with a casual "pat" sound.

"Is this all your strength amounts to?" he sneered.

Victor’s expression fell. His most powerful strike, containing every ounce of his strength, had been neutralized effortlessly.

Despite his desperate struggle, Victor couldn’t free his hand from Bernard’s iron grip.

"No other tricks?" Bernard’s tone turned sinister.

As he spoke, his grip tightened gradually. Then with a swift, cruel twist, Victor’s arm made a sickening crack.

"Ahhh!!!" Victor’s scream pierced the air.

His arm had been brutally snapped in two.

"I’ve broken you like this, yet Mason Raymond hasn’t appeared," Bernard observed, approaching Victor slowly. "It seems he doesn’t value his loyal dog much."

Victor’s face glistened with sweat, his body trembling uncontrollably from the excruciating pain.

"Dogs should behave like dogs. Kneel!" Bernard commanded icily.

"Never!" Victor spat back through clenched teeth.

Bernard’s eyes narrowed. "Fine. If you won’t kneel willingly, I’ll force you down!"

He raised his palm and slammed it onto Victor’s shoulder with crushing force.

The pressure felt like mountains pressing down on Victor’s shoulders. His bones began to creak ominously, threatening to shatter at any moment.

Yet even under this unbearable weight, Victor stubbornly refused to bend his knees.

"Quite persistent," Bernard noted coldly. "Let’s see how long you can last!"

With those words, Bernard kicked Victor’s knees repeatedly with brutal force.

"Ah!"

Finally, Victor’s knees gave way, slamming against the ground with a heavy thud.

"Hahaha!" Bernard’s laughter rang out triumphantly.

"Seems your will isn’t as strong as your bones after all," he remarked with cruel amusement.

Victor knelt helplessly, his shattered legs refusing to support him despite his desperate resistance.

"Young Lord," one of Bernard’s attendants suddenly approached.

"What is it?" Bernard glanced at him impatiently.

"Young Lord, I believe Mason Raymond might be using that Knotweed for his seclusion practice!" the man reported urgently.

Bernard’s expression changed dramatically.

"We can’t delay any longer!" the attendant continued anxiously. "If we’re too late, the Knotweed will be beyond our reach!"

Rage exploded across Bernard’s face. He glared at Victor with murderous intent. "You dare waste my precious time? If the Knotweed is gone, your life is forfeit!"

With that threat hanging in the air, Bernard rushed toward the villa.

Suddenly, something seized his legs, stopping him mid-stride.

Looking down, he saw Victor clutching his calves with desperate strength.

"Mr. Raymond said... no visitors..." Victor managed between labored breaths.

"You’re asking for death! Release me!" Bernard shouted furiously.

He shook his legs violently, attempting to dislodge Victor.

But Victor clung to him with fanatical determination, refusing to let go regardless of the consequences.

"Damn fool!" Bernard finally snapped.

He raised his free leg and began savagely kicking Victor’s body.

Once, twice, three times...

Bernard’s powerful strikes caused blood to spray from Victor’s mouth, yet Victor’s grip never loosened for even a moment.

"Let go, you fucking madman!" Bernard screamed, nearly hysterical.

"I... won’t... let go..." Victor whispered through blood-stained teeth.

Bernard’s face contorted with savage fury. "Fine then, I’ll kill you here and now!"
