Chapter 102: Chapter 102 - Deadly Demonstration

Roberts Joshua’s eyes filled with disdain as he faced the old servant, a look that clearly displeased the man standing before him.

Throughout his years in South City, no one had ever shown such disrespect to the old servant. No one.

"Leave now, and I might spare your life," Roberts said coldly, his voice carrying no emotion.

The old servant laughed loudly. "Never has anyone spoken to me like this!"

In the carriage, I couldn’t help but worry. My eyes remained fixed on the scene outside the window, fearing that Roberts might be defeated by the old man. The tension in my body was palpable.

"Oh, don’t worry," Mabel laughed beside me. She took some snacks and asked, "Do you want some?"

I forced a smile. "I’m not in the mood for snacks..."

"You always worry about everything," Mabel rolled her eyes, seemingly unconcerned.

I didn’t speak further, keeping my eyes fixated on the confrontation unfolding outside.

At that moment, the old servant made his move. He pushed his energy to the limit, his palms transforming into claws that slashed sharply toward Roberts!

Roberts didn’t budge, letting the old servant’s attack strike him directly. The old servant’s claws barely scraped Roberts’s chest.

"Got him!" the old servant thought, but in the next second, his face changed dramatically. He realized he couldn’t harm Roberts at all.

"Is this all you’ve got? No wonder you can only hide in a small place like South City," Roberts said coldly, unmoved by the attack.

The old servant’s face paled. He tried to retreat, but it was too late. Roberts reached out and grabbed his wrist, crushing it with sudden force.

"Ahh!!!" The old servant screamed in pain, his voice piercing the air.

Roberts’s moves were swift and fierce, showing no hesitation. He stretched out his hand and with a sickening "smack," crushed the old servant’s head. Just one move, and the old servant was dead.

In the carriage, I couldn’t help but gulp down my saliva. How strong was Roberts? How much had he held back during our previous encounter? The display of power left me stunned.

"See, I told you not to worry," Mabel said, as if she had anticipated this outcome all along.

I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly in return. Indeed, coming from the aristocratic family of Capital City, they far exceeded my imagination.

Nearby, Bernard Colton’s face grew grimmer. With just one move, the old servant was killed. Combined with the license plate from Capital City, Bernard suddenly looked uneasy. These people were definitely from a Great Family in Capital City.

"Sir, I didn’t know your identity, please spare me!" Bernard quickly knelt down and bowed, desperation evident in his voice.

Roberts stood in front of him, looking down condescendingly, not making a move for a long while.

Bernard hurriedly continued, "I didn’t know the gentleman was from a Great Family in Capital City. I am willing to apologize and take all responsibility!"

Roberts sneered, "That gentleman? It seems you are mistaken; I am here for our Miss. As for Mason Raymond, he has nothing to do with us." He finished with a contemptuous snort.

From my seat in the carriage, I heard these words clearly. "Roberts sure holds a grudge," I thought to myself.

Kneeling on the ground, Bernard nodded quickly. "I understand, please show mercy and spare my life..."

Roberts frowned, looked at Bernard, then coldly said, "Get lost."

Bernard reacted as if he’d received a pardon, turning and running away without looking back.

Afterward, Roberts approached our carriage and said politely, "Miss, it’s getting late, please head back and rest."

Mabel nodded. "Thank you, you can go back now."

"Yes, Miss," Roberts bowed and then stepped aside, watching as our carriage departed.

My heart filled with mixed emotions as we pulled away. "So this is the Inner Strength Grandmaster," I took a deep breath, my desire to improve my own strength growing even stronger.

The carriage quickly returned to the hotel. Mabel had booked a suite earlier, and after obtaining the room key, we headed upstairs together. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Upon entering the room, Mabel winked at me and said, "I’m going to take a bath first."

Hearing this, I couldn’t help but blush, heat rushing to my face.

Mabel seemed to enjoy my shy demeanor, leaning close to my ear and whispering softly, "Wait for me, will you."

At these words, I felt my face turning red all the way down to my neck!

Mabel couldn’t help but cover her mouth and giggle before walking straight toward the bathroom.

I sat on the bed, feeling increasingly nervous. When I heard the sound of flowing water coming from the bathroom, it stimulated my nerves even more.

"Huff..."

It would certainly be a lie to say I didn’t have any thoughts. Such a beauty in front of me was hard for any man to resist. I could only breathe deeply to calm myself down.

Half an hour later, Mabel walked out of the bathroom. She wore only a simple bathrobe, showcasing her creamy skin. The contrast between her snowy-white skin and long black hair was striking, and her perfect figure exuded astonishing charm. Her delicate feet stepped on the floor, everything about her enticing.

For a moment, I was dumbstruck, and a nosebleed spurted out uncontrollably.

"Pfft!" Mabel couldn’t help but laugh, rolling her eyes and asking, "Do you like what you see?"

"Be... beautiful," I murmured softly, barely able to form words.

"Hmm... Are you sure it’s really beautiful?" As she spoke, Mabel sat down beside me on the bed.

At such close proximity, I was nearly losing my mind! I felt the intoxicating fragrance from her body, my blood rushing to my brain.

Mabel continued to move closer, her fingers lightly sliding across my body as she smirked, "What do you want to do?"
