Chapter 885: Chapter 885: Creating Primordials
In the Mortalverse of Kael’s Alphaverse.
Kael’s presence could be felt here as he descended from the skyless void with his arms behind his back and his glowing, golden eyes scanning the massive planet below him.
Today was the day he had prepared for a stunt that had rarely been done before.
Below Kael, the massive planet rotated slowly with an impressive cover of ice all over its surface.
Standing on this massive planet were two hundred beings, each of them looking at the sky to gaze at the majesty of the All-King.
Out of the two hundred creatures standing on the icy surface of this planet, one hundred were horses of different shades and fur types, while the other hundred were phoenixes.
Kael looked down at them with a stinging gaze. He had never felt so apprehensive about his last operations the way he did right now.
He felt like a research scientist who was running an experiment for the first time, except that the experiment could not fail.
Kael could not afford to fail. If he did, it would mean that he had wasted a lot of effort and time in training and rescuing these phoenixes and horses.
"You don’t need to do anything," Kael said to them telepathically. He could sense their heart rate pick up to insane levels as they were overcome by a mixture of elation and fear.
They had been preparing for this day for the last two months.
On one hand, they were excited that the All-King had chosen them to prepare for this fortuitous opportunity, on the other hand they were extremely fearful as the risk of death was almost certain.
After Katari achieved the impossible and rescued the Horses from the imprisonment of the Creation Dragons, Kael took over.
The Horses and Phoenixes were brief on what was going to happen.
It was a chance at redemption, it was a significant increase in status from where they were before.
The Horses had once been creatures affiliated with the Law of Conquering, just like the Lions.
But after the All-King killed President Musty and devoured him, he became a Singularity while the Horses were left lawless.
They were no different from the Phoenix apart from the fact that they had a clear origin as one of the powerful cosmic factions in the past.
As for the Phoenixes, they never had a history of being affiliated with any law besides their common ancestors.
Ever since their alliance with Ma’abu, they had fallen to a weaker status.
And now, Kael has offered the two races a form of salvation.
When they were brought into the Alphaverse, Kael had explained it to them. They were to select a hundred of their most talented individuals each from their races.
They did so.
Kael also told them that most of them would die and probably only one of them from each race would succeed and come out alive.
When some horses and phoenixes had heard this, they wanted to leave the so-called experiment but they were swiftly executed by Kael.
Such weakness had to be uprooted as soon as possible.
How could they not be willing to face certain death with their eyes wide open and their hearts firm? Kael had done it multiple times, even when he wasn’t sure that he would come out alive.
So, he did not see any reason why others would not be able to do that.
Coming back to the Horses and the Phoenixes, Kael allowed them to assemble a hundred of their most talented individuals, at least, the ones that were willing to face the possibility of death.
As for why Kale had asked them to do this, it was because he was going to attempt something that should not or would not have been possible on a normal day.
He wanted to create Primordials.
Indeed.
Kael saw an opportunity.
As the anchor for the Alphaverse and the highest authority here, Kael had a deep understanding and sense of the general composition of his vassals.
From wolves, to rats, to vultures, and so on, Kael could sense when they were affiliated with a law and he could even sense the law they were affiliated with.
So when the Phoenixes and the Horses were brought into the Alphaverse, Kale could sense that nothing was tying them to any law.
But at the same time, he could also sense potential. He could sense that there was room for growth.
Kael had once asked Alexander and Phestus if the Law of Transportation was ownerless and it was confirmed.
Kael had not asked that question for nothing.
He wanted to create something out of nothing and he knew how to do it.
"Prepare yourselves," Kael stated as his eyes began to glow brighter and brighter.
The pressure increased and the frozen planet stopped rotating.
Kael’s hair fluttered in the windless void and the whole Alphaverse churned with power.
Kael’s logic was sound. The main universe had created Primordials out of nothing, it had done so automatically without any form of intelligence guiding it.
And it has been doing it since the beginning of time. If the Highest Will were to wipe out every race in the universe and decide to start again, he or the universe would just reassess the losses and begin the creation of a new set of races to populate the void and manifest the laws.
Kael on his own was his own universe. The difference between him and the Highest Will was that he was his own universe whereas the Highest Will was not.
The Highest Will was the steward of a Universe that did not begin with an Alpha Law. Kael’s universe did not need a steward, not yet at least.
That was something that was too far from him.
Right now, he just wants to create on demand.
The ownerless Heavenly Beacons that Phestus was making were useful but they were not efficient.
N’bayé and Diane had already reported multiple complications in their attempts to infiltrate the spaces of other heavenly realms.
It would seem like the Heavens were starting to raise their defenses.
Kael could not sit still. He refused to. The lions were already pumped up after the absolute carnage they had rained on the Horror Heaven.
Even Kael had found the whole process exhilarating and it was truly addictive. Unfortunately, all the other Heavenly Realms that they tried to invade after that were being locked up.
Kael himself could get into those heavenly realms without issue using the freedom formula. But he could not conquer the cosmos without his lions by his side.
So, he had decided to return to his first option.
Utilizing the Horses.
With his arms spread wide and the whole Alphaverse vibrating with the weight of an adolescent universe, Kael’s powers burst out of his body.
Down below, the horses who had all been standing in their true beastly forms neighed.
They shrieked, stomping their hooves on the ice and shaking their manes. Pain and pleasure flowed through their veins and flesh, binding them to a source of power.
At the same time, the Phoenixes also began to react as well. Laws that they had never felt before began to rush through them in essence.
They raised their heads to the sky, flapped their wings, and screeched violently.
Their bodies burst into pillars of flames as they cried out in agony. The pain they felt was transmitted into telepathic waves that were received by all the creatures in the New Mortalverse.
Beyond the Alphaverse, countless gazes were turned everywhere as the powerful beings of the main universe felt a disturbance.
The Law was acting up.
The Main Universe and the Alphaverse might inherently be distinct, but they still share the same Law Base. All the laws that could be accessed by the Main Universe would also be accessed by the Alphaverse.
They shared laws.
For every Primordial that was lost to the Alphaverse, that was a potential Singularity moving from the Main Universe’s side to another.
The only way to compensate for that loss was to either get them back or cut out the Alphaverse permanently from the Main Universe, both of which were nearly impossible right now.
So, when Kael summoned the power of the Laws with his Alphaverse, it was also reflected and felt in the Main Universe.
All the gods who could perceive the flow of the laws also felt it.
The Main Universe was about to lose something once again.
Surprisingly, the Highest Will, wherever he was watching all this from, still did not do anything personally.
Not yet.
The person who expressed the most reaction was Reincarnation for obvious reasons.
She had offered to give Kael the location of all the Primordials’ birthplaces. If Kael could use his Alphaverse to stimulate the birth of his own Primordials or Avatars, her value to him would be significantly lowered.
On a much closer look, those who could perceive the laws discovered that it was two ownerless laws that were being stirred.
The Law of Transportation and the Law of Rebirth.
