A random sister-in-law in the crowd spoke up, and her cousin quickly chimed in, "Exactly, I think when she called my brother-in-law the other day, she was trying to seduce him. How can someone like that be qualified to teach children? I wouldn’t dare hire her."
Seeing the support, Lin Wan’s demeanor quickly hardened, and she deliberately acted furious, grabbing her hair and kicking her, "I tolerated you for so many days. If you hadn’t gone too far today, I wouldn’t have acted. It’s not that I am unreasonable and hit you. If someone bullies us, and we don’t fight back, that would make us cowards."
Lin Wan continued to fight with her while speaking. Lin Yuan watched for a moment and then deliberately started to pull them apart, advising her to calm down, but secretly pinching her several times. Teacher Jia was beaten and left it at that. When Lin Wan left, she even said she would go find her supervisor. Some sister-in-laws also said they would go with her. That scared Teacher Jia. Since she was currently on suspended duty with pay, she barely made ends meet. If her supervisors found out she caused trouble with people in the compound, she would certainly face severe punishment. Teacher Jia could only swallow her anger and walked away with her head hung low. But this matter had blown up so much; it wasn’t likely to end here. Lin Wan wasn’t in the mood to deal with it at the moment, though. She left, her face burning with pain, and went back to Brother Junzi’s place.
"She hits pretty hard. I just don’t have as much strength as her. Although I slapped her twice, the marks on her face disappeared soon, unlike mine, which is still red." Lin Wan told the situation as she rolled an egg on her face when she and her cousin arrived at Brother Junzi’s house.
"At the beginning, you should have let me get down there too. I wouldn’t have given her a chance to strike." Lin Yuan said.
"I did it on purpose, I just didn’t expect her to hit so hard."
"You can’t let this go, she’s strong-willed, you have to be even stronger. We can’t let people bully us. This matter needs to be dealt with seriously." Junzi thought they should properly deal with this woman.
Lin Wan knew that Han Yi would definitely find out about this and handle it when the time came.
Her cousin checked on her sister-in-law, and with only just over a month, judging by the reaction, it was likely a boy. Her current weakness seemed to be due to not eating properly these past few days. Lin Yuan suggested eating small and frequent meals, focusing on foods she liked. If she threw up, she should continue eating; gradually, it would improve.
Junzi was reassured by this, though he wasn’t much of a cook himself. Now that Tao Jia couldn’t handle anything, he didn’t know how to take care of her properly.
Lin Wan chuckled, "Why don’t we let Godmother take care of Sister-in-law?"
"That’s a good idea. I’ll call Mom in a bit." Junzi thought this was a decent plan.
Tao Jia waved her hand and said, "Mom is helping Uncle run the store right now, where does she have time to come over? Besides, she hasn’t been apart from Dad much, asking her to come for such a long time, Dad would definitely have opinions."
Junzi felt troubled when he heard this, "That’s true, Mom and Dad haven’t been apart much."
Lin Wan also knew, them having lived together for most of their lives, suddenly separating them doesn’t quite fit.
However, Brother Junzi said to let this matter slide and if it doesn’t work, he’ll learn to cook himself.
When Lin Wan heard this, she was a bit amused. Her godmother had said that Brother Junzi, at over thirty, had never cooked once. If he wanted to learn to cook, she was indeed curious.
At noon, Junzi didn’t let the two leave but asked them to help guide him in making a few simple dishes.
Tao Jia said she wanted dumplings. Luckily, they had meat and vegetables at home, so Lin Wan asked Brother Junzi to make some chive and meat dumpling filling. He did a decent job chopping the filling, seasoning was fine too, but when wrapping them, he was clumsy; either too much filling or too little, never pinching them properly. The result was when he cooked them, they all fell apart.
Nonetheless, Tao Jia ate quite a lot today, which got Brother Junzi motivated. He said he wouldn’t go to training today and would ask Tao Jia what she wanted for dinner, and he would personally make it for her.
Without them around, Lin Wan had no idea what kind of meal Brother Junzi would make. After Lin Wan and her cousin sister returned from Brother Junzi’s place, it was already past two.
Originally at this hour, her husband should have gone to training, and their child should be at school. But as soon as she opened the door, she saw Han Yi sitting in the living room with a cold expression.
Lin Wan was taken aback, thinking that today’s event had been known by the higher-ups and that Han Yi had been criticized.
"Ai Yi, is this really serious? But it was her who started it."
