Chapter 81: 81- Rayar Village

Sienna stood near the corner with her arms wrapped around herself while keeping an eye on the restricted room from a distance.

Yeah. A restricted room. Not a mortuary. Because Papa wasn’t dead yet.

Lina had already slipped away to handle the next part of the plan, leaving Sienna alone. She wished she could call Hunter, but no.

This was her fight, and she needed to do it herself.

After a few minutes, she heard footsteps and stiffened. Telling herself that it was just hospital staff, she started scrolling through her phone. But then, when she whipped her head in that direction, she found Tom coming to her.

Uh huh. What is he doing here?

For a split second, her heart nearly stopped. Her mind raced wildly for a solution as Tom approached her with slow steps. He was still wearing the mask, and Sienna was looking for an excuse.

He will definitely ask me why I brought reporters and cameramen that day. I was supposed to meet him alone.

"At last," He spoke, "We finally meet again!"

His gaze swept over her swollen eyes and red nose while Sienna stared at him blankly.

"What? Has the cat gotten your tongue?" He asked as he stopped in front of her, "That day you insulted me the way nobody ever did. I wanted to be there for you because you were being abused by your husband."

Sienna’s nostrils flared as she spun around and smack!

The slap echoed through the empty hallway. Tom’s head jerked sideways in shock.

"The audacity..." Sienna’s voice broke as tears spilled down her cheeks again, "How could you, Tom? How could you?"

Tom blinked at her in confusion as if questioning himself, What the fuck!

Sienna punched his chest and then grabbed his collar with both hands while crying loudly.

"Why would you do something so disgusting to me?" She wailed, shaking him weakly, "I came to meet you, Tom. To meet you!" She slapped her hands on his chest, "And what did you do? You called those reporters that day?"

Good God. Acting in movies was a lot easier than acting in real-life. Here, one always needed to stay in character.

Tom looked completely caught off guard.

"What?" He whispered.

However, Sienna pretended she didn’t hear him, "You ruined me, Tom. You ruined me. I thought you were the only one who understood me. How wrong I was!"

"Sienna—"

"No!" She cut him off hysterically, "Everyone thinks I’m shameless now... because of you!"

Tom stared at her as if his brain had stopped functioning. The two nurses who walked past them were already throwing judgmental looks at him.

Sienna noticed and cried even louder.

"And see? Now my father has left me all alone. I have no one, Tom. No friend. No love. Just... just me and my loneliness."

Tom had to grab her wrists to keep himself safe from any further slap, "Calm down, Sienna. What’re you even talking about?"

Her lips trembled as she whispered brokenly, "You... you told the media... didn’t you? You were the one who told them about our meeting in that hotel."

Tom looked completely thrown off. All this time, he had been accusing Sienna secretly, thinking that she was behind it.

She was the one who framed him.

How wrong he was!

Then... who was it?

And then understanding dawned on his face.

"Hunter!" He whispered.

Sienna quit crying and looked at his face in shock, "Sorry?"

"Must be Hunter. I’m innocent, Sienna. We both are. Hunter was trying to frame us. He must have decided at the last minute that he should keep you safe."

Sienna was now staring at his face while her green eyes flickered in the dim corridor light.

"You mean to say..." She trailed off when she saw him nodding his head.

"Did he threaten you when he reached home?" He asked her, observing her carefully. His sharp eyes didn’t miss the surprise flashing across her face.

He was right. Hunter did threaten her, indeed.

He was behind it.

That bastard!

He destroyed the cute love moments he planned for his girl. For his Sienna.

He cupped her cheek with one hand, "Listen to me carefully. I would never humiliate you, Sienna."

He swallowed when Sienna’s lashes trembled slightly. He stepped closer, lowering his voice, "Do you think I would invite reporters when I finally got a chance to meet you?" He scoffed bitterly, "That’s what that sucker told you?"

Sienna was happy.

She had been bored to death, standing there keeping an eye on her father’s room. This was proving to be a good time pass.

When Tom found her staring at him, his eyes softened instantly, "I booked the entire floor for us. I wanted to talk to you in peace. Without any drama."

You wanted to talk to me? My ass!

Her lips parted slightly like she were too stunned to speak.

Was he always like that? Because he booked an entire floor for Ruby in their last life.

Men get bored of their own wives so easily, don’t they? Does Hunter also look at other women behind my back?

The question made her uncomfortable.

Oh, God. Please no.

She felt her heart sinking at the thought.

She looked up and realized she had been quiet for some time, "Are you telling the truth?" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"I am," His thumb brushed lightly against her cheek, wiping away her fake tears, "Hunter played both of us."

He tried to wrap his arms around her, but she quickly stepped back, "No, Tom. We are in a public space. Not here, please."

His arms dropped by his side.

"Sure," There was disappointment in his voice, but he nodded as if he understood her.

Dr. Greyson rushed inside his office with excitement, "Congratulations. We did it."

He was almost out of breath.

Ruby and Mariana instantly rose from the couch, "What?" Mariana asked anxiously.

Greyson nodded at them with a grin, "George is on his way to the Rayar village."

For a second, both women stared at him.

"Oh, my God!" Ruby squealed and grabbed Mariana’s hands before hugging her.

"We’re saved!" Mariana nearly cried. Ruby laughed in relief. She was happy that her idea worked.

Thank you, God, for this rebirth.

Dr. Greyson dropped weakly into his chair and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He promised himself that after today, he would not stay in contact with George.

He couldn’t risk his profession because of the family of these retards.
