Chapter 1636: The Four Abominations (2)
Nexorphis was a Reality Bender. She possessed affinities for Void, Space, Darkness, and Time. That made her the strongest demigod-level Beast under Kent’s command. Her abilities are just too much to comprehend.
However, her opponent perfectly countered her and, in a way, even surpassed her. Fatebreaker possessed affinities for Fate, Space, Corruption, Dimension, and Void.
While time was not part of his abilities, his [Throne of the End] skill allowed him to slow down time considerably, among many other terrifying effects.
So, the battle was not one Nexorphis could afford to underestimate.
However, it was precisely because of the danger Fatebreaker possessed that she felt this would become the most exciting battle of her life.
From the day she was created until this very moment, she had never been defeated, not even once, so this battle would test her abilities to their absolute limits or maybe not if her intelligence was factored in.
Naturally, she was more than ready to see what would happen when she reached that limit.
Unfortunately for her, she saw the limit of her abilities just thirty seconds into the battle.
"Dimension of Corruption."
Fatebreaker activated a skill, and all Nexorphis could see was darkness before her body started decaying.
The attack came so suddenly that before she could make sense of anything, 50% of her energy had already been drained. It was simply too sudden...
But the moment the danger settled into her mind, she felt excitement wash over her.
’Then let me use it.’
The moment those words echoed in her mind, her Time Element activated, and everything paused.
"Reversal."
Everything reversed, restoring the dimension around her to its former shattered state, the exact moment before [Dimension of Corruption] had been activated.
Two seconds later, Fatebreaker used [Dimension of Corruption] again, and Nexorphis found herself trapped within the decaying dimension once more.
However, this time, she remained calm.
Three seconds later, time reversed itself again, and they returned to the point before [Dimension of Corruption] had been activated.
Yet again, two seconds later, the Dimension of Corruption activated once more.
Three seconds later, time reversed itself again.
"What..." Fatebreaker noticed the anomaly, but before he could make sense of anything, [Dimension of Corruption] activated once more.
"What are you doing?" Fatebreaker asked in a furious tone.
"Not what I am doing, but rather what have I done."
A giggle escaped Nexorphis’s lips as she tried to make out the true form of Fatebreaker now that she had some time on her hands.
From what she could see, he looked like a catastrophic fusion of an abyssal dragon, a void entity, and a living dimensional collapse.
Though she saw a giant draconic figure standing on two legs, or at least that was what she was meant to see. Regardless, she had already formed a loop, not to prolong her own inevitable death, but to outsmart Fatebreaker.
Aside from her monstrous affinities, her intelligence is only second to Ixeron’s.
"Fatebreaker, I never really expected you to have this much power at your disposal. I mean, the ability to create dimensions and even corrupt them is simply too powerful.
Let’s not even talk about the power of Fate. You truly are a much better counter to me, even stronger than I am, the moment the power to manipulate fate comes into play.
However, you are mistaken about one thing. I may not possess the power over fate, but I am the Reality Bender.
My power fundamentally revolves around reality, and within reality, there is Time. No matter how powerful you are, you can never escape time."
Nexorphis chuckled.
Just then, Fatebreaker sensed that something was terribly wrong.
"You... what did you do?"
Five seconds in the past, he sensed a scythe sever his head from his body. At the same time, five seconds in the future, he sensed two blades stab into his head.
"I know you can sense it... hehe." Nexorphis laughed. "You don’t actually expect me to play fair, do you? As the Reality Bender, I rewrote the reality around us, making it seem as though we had already fought and would continue to fight.
However, knowing how monstrous you are, I knew I had to make you believe you had the upper hand, so I trapped you in the present, while the true battle was happening in the future and the past.
Reality is indeed a dangerous element to manipulate, especially with time attached to it."
Just then, the [Dimension of Corruption] reversed, and the time loop shattered. Nexorphis felt her energy draining once again.
However, she merely stood there, and five seconds later, two swords emerged from nowhere and pierced Fatebreaker’s head, killing him instantly.
"I guess I remain undisputed as the strongest demigod," she laughed.
Before she could think about taking away the body, a little girl with purple hair appeared and hovered beside her.
"Nicely done, Big Sister Nexorphis."
Tower extended her hand, and a green fruit hovered in the air before her.
"Feed the juice to him."
This was Nexorphis’s first time seeing Tower, but she felt no threat from her. In fact, she felt drawn toward her, the same attraction she and the others had felt when they formed their contract with Kent.
So, she did as she was told and squeezed the fruit, letting the juice drip into Fatebreaker’s mouth. Tower waved her hand once more, and an Abomination Contract appeared and merged with Fatebreaker.
His body was cocooned, and with another wave of her hand, both he and Nexorphis vanished.
Tower sighed.
"Master clearly underestimated Big Sister Nexorphis."
After letting her thoughts settle, Tower also vanished and reappeared somewhere near the Ice Fortress.

[Ixeron vs The Soulmaw]
Ixeron had also been matched against a perfect counter to his abilities. However, from the moment he appeared in the dungeon, he felt that something was terribly wrong with his opponent.
This became clear when he arrived at the core layer of the Domain of Tormented Nightmares.
He saw that his opponent, the Soulmaw, was lying unconscious on the ground and twitching as though it had been electrocuted.
Ixeron could tell at first glance that the battle wouldn’t be between him and the Soulmaw. His intelligence is so high that a mere was all he needed to deduce complex observations.
Suddenly, a grey orb flew out from its body, transformed into a winged dragon, and flew toward Ixeron.
At first sight, he wanted to attack and kill it. However, just as it drew closer, Ixeron realised it was not approaching him with hostile intent.
"Are you here to kill me for rebelling?" the dragon spoke, causing Ixeron to blink slowly.
"Naturally, yes, but not for rebelling. However, I have reasons to believe you are not asking this out of malice. Also, judging by your deformed state, I believe you are already at death’s door."
"Perceptive, I see."
The dragon hovered silently for a few seconds before speaking again.
"I am indeed dying. However, I do not wish to die this way. I want you to kill me, but before that, there is something you need to see."
The dragon transformed into mist, which shifted and formed a portal, more accurately, a Mind Portal.
Ixeron raised his brow at the sight.
As someone with the power of mind manipulation, he knew exactly what a Mind Portal represented. It was a gateway into one’s Mind Space. If not properly protected, an intruder could enter and inflict severe damage upon the mind itself.
Opening it for him was essentially Soulmaw’s way of telling him he meant no harm and that he was truly desperate.
Ixeron stood there for a few moments before a sigh escaped his lips.
He extended his hand and summoned one of his [Thought Cores], sending it through the Mind Portal. The portal closed a second later, and Ixeron appeared within a domain of collapsing stars.
"I’ll be damned... a true Primordial Space, huh?"
"Welcome to my mind domain, fellow Mind Cultivator..."
Ixeron heard chains rattling behind him, so he turned around.
That was when he saw the real Soulmaw, shackled within his own mind.
