The one who threw Number Four directly into the center of the field was none other than Tony, that man who always seemed to be losing his mind.

Only this time, Tony was not alone. Beside him floated an Alakazam with its mustache fully raised, holding two spoons crossed in front of its chest. Ripples of psychic power shone in its eyes, and its body remained suspended in the air.

Just by looking at it, one could tell that the Alakazam's head was disproportionately large, making its limbs appear thin and fragile in comparison.

At that moment, Alakazam's psychic power had completely merged with Tony's. Two existences that were already terrifyingly powerful on their own, when combined, released an impact that Number Four simply could not withstand. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Even though Number Four, gripped by nervousness, constantly protected himself with his psychic power, after receiving that attack his eyes rolled back, all his mental energy was paralyzed, and he fell to the center of the field. He barely managed to support himself with his arms and legs; his body trembled slightly and then collapsed again, clearly on the verge of losing consciousness.

Cain and Number Five, who were not too far from him, were also pushed back by the shockwave of the psychic impact, sliding three or four meters across the ground and leaving four deep marks in the earth.

Fortunately, Cain reacted in time and wrapped himself in his psychic power. Otherwise, his condition would not have been much better than Number Four's. A psychic impact of that level, even if it were resisted, would cause severe damage to the mind, preventing the use of psychic power for a long time.

In more serious cases, one could end up as an idiot; worse still, become a completely unconscious vegetable. This was no joke.

Cain clicked his tongue inwardly. He had never imagined that this slightly unbalanced-looking man could be so terrifying and uncontrollable when he erupted.

Seeing that Number Four would not regain consciousness for quite some time, Cain put away the object he had been gripping tightly in his hand, the one that could help him control Number Four.

In some way, that human "bombardment" had saved him many troubles that would have been difficult to deal with.

However, seeing Tony with his face twisted in fury, accompanied by that floating Alakazam with raised mustache and gigantic head, everyone present began to retreat little by little. In such a situation, trying to intervene when that type lost his temper was not something a sensible person would do.

Alakazam are Pokémon whose brain cells grow without limit. Therefore, the longer they live, the greater their strength, and the larger their heads become.

Thus, to evaluate an Alakazam's strength, observing the size of its head is a fairly reliable method.

Moreover, Alakazam is a natural psychic and one of the most difficult Pokémon to capture in the Pokémon world.

Even some pseudo-legendary Pokémon are much easier to subdue than an Alakazam, or even than Kadabra or Abra.

Most Pokémon respect the strong; as long as they are defeated head-on and not made to feel aversion, the capture process is usually relatively simple.

But some Psychic-type Pokémon are different. Being able to use psychic abilities implies great mental strength and intelligence comparable to that of humans. Added to their innate talent, many of them look down on ordinary people.

Alakazam, in particular, is one of the Psychic-type Pokémon with the highest demands on its trainer. Ideally, its trainer should also be a psychic, and not just an ordinary "muggle."

Of course, there are exceptions, but most Alakazam maintain very high standards.

Tony's Alakazam was so imposing that Cain did not even need to scan its data; just by looking at its head, he knew its strength was extraordinary.

Even so, when Alakazam passed by him, Cain could not help scanning it by reflex.

After all, they might end up facing each other in the future. Knowing the enemy is always better than knowing nothing.

Upon seeing this data, Cain's pupils immediately contracted. This time, he was truly frightened.

According to his calculations, even if the Sacred Church had sent many experts, it was impossible for someone to appear with a Pokémon that had surpassed the second threshold of the Champion level. This confidence did not come only from his own judgment, but also from his faith in the League and in Dialga and Palkia.

If someone that strong had entered, the League would certainly have detected it. Or rather, Dialga and Palkia would never have allowed someone like that to enter their territory.

Even if that place had already been abandoned by them, that was one of the reasons Cain dared to carry out his entire chain of plans: he trusted that he would be able to withdraw alive even if everything went wrong.

But Tony's Alakazam completely shattered that assumption.

By itself, Alakazam had not crossed the second threshold of the Champion level, but being at the peak of the first threshold and receiving Tony's psychic amplification, it had temporarily forced its way into the second!

And most importantly, it had not yet received the infusion of the church's divine power!

That meant it still had room to become even stronger.

With such strength, it was no wonder everyone present felt genuine fear. A single misstep would be enough for him to sweep the entire place away.

However, what surprised Cain the most was not Alakazam, but Tony himself.
