"What did you say?" Asher gently placed Alexander aside and reached out to pull Sophie into his arms, trapping her there.
"I... I didn’t say anything."
"That’s not how you lie. Should I verify with the maids to see what you actually said?" His thumb brushed against her chin, his lips curving slightly. "If you said something you shouldn’t have, then according to the old rules, you’ll get punished back in the room, hmm?"
"Let go, Asher!" Sophie struggled within his embrace, her face flushing even more, "You have no other skills, just know how to threaten people, don’t you?"
"Ha, you really know me well." Asher made no attempt to deny it.
Actually, he was just threatening her. He wouldn’t really punish her back in the room; after all, considering her health, he had started to become a bit restrained in that regard.
He remembered how in the past, he would take her whenever he wanted, without considering her feelings...
"Kiss me."
"What?" Sophie was baffled. Which nerve did he touch to make such an unreasonable demand? In front of their son and so many maids, could she kiss him?
"Are you going to kiss me or not? If not..." His large hand roamed over her back, "If not, I’ll strip you naked right here? Hmm?"

Sophie’s beautiful eyes shot him a fierce glare. How could this man be so shameless?
His hand had quietly moved to the zipper of her dress on her back, and Sophie panicked. Without much thought, she quickly turned her head and pressed her soft lips against his thin ones...

Sophie quickly pulled away, and immediately Asher felt wonderful, the corners of his mouth curling up.
This woman truly wasn’t very clever. After a bit of a threat, she actually kissed him. Did she really think he was such a scumbag, such a pervert, that he would strip her naked in front of their son and all these maids?
Seeing the triumphant smile on Asher’s lips, Sophie instantly felt she had been deceived.
"Damn it!" She jabbed her elbow hard into his firm chest.
Asher grunted, slightly furrowing his brows. Did she have to be so violent?
"If you hit me again, I’ll kiss you back."
"Who would be afraid of your threats, I..." Before she finished her sentence, his kiss silenced her again.
She was truly defeated by him.
The family of three ’bickered and teased’ for a long while, and the atmosphere of happiness and warmth infected everyone around.
