Yun Lintian’s figure floated calmly in the vast expanse of the Abyssal Rift, his golden eyes scanning the gathered Chaos Knights with an air of indifference.

The oppressive energy of the rift swirled around him, but it seemed to part as if unwilling to touch him. His presence alone was enough to make the air heavy, and even the most seasoned Chaos Knights felt a shiver run down their spines.

Yun Lintian swept his gaze over the fifty or so Chaos Knights in this vast space. The one that posed a slight threat, aside from Dian Lun, was certainly Tian Zhen. The rest were more or less low-level Chaos Knights.

"Yun Lintian," Dian Lun said, his voice steady but laced with a subtle respect. "I must admit, I admire your courage. To come here alone, knowing full well the dangers that await you... it takes a special kind of bravery."

Yun Lintian’s expression remained impassive. He glanced at Dian Lun, his gaze piercing. "If you want to fight me, you should have invited a Chaos Knight on Kai Xuan’s caliber over. These people here are not enough."

The Chaos Knights stirred at his words, their expressions darkening. They were elite warriors, each one a force to be reckoned with in their own right. Yet, Yun Lintian spoke as if they were nothing more than ants in his path.

Dian Lun chuckled softly, his tone playful. "I didn’t know you were this arrogant, Yun Lintian. But then again, perhaps arrogance is a luxury only the truly powerful can afford."

Yun Lintian’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Arrogance? No. I simply speak the truth. If you think these people can stop me, you are sorely mistaken."

Dian Lun’s smile faded, replaced by a more serious expression. He knew Yun Lintian wasn’t bluffing. The man standing before him was a force of nature, a being who had defied the odds time and time again. But Dian Lun was no ordinary Chaos Knight either. He had his own pride, his own strength.

"Very well," Dian Lun said, his voice calm but firm. "If you are so confident, then let us see if you can back up your words."

With a wave of his hand, the Chaos Knights behind him spread out, forming a semi-circle around Yun Lintian. Their auras flared, dark energy swirling around them as they prepared to attack.

Tang Zhen, standing beside Dian Lun, also summoned his weapon, a massive halberd crackling with chaotic energy.

Yun Lintian stood still, his Frostmourne Spear resting lightly in his hand. His golden eyes glowed with an ethereal light, and the air around him seemed to hum with power. He didn’t need to make any grand gestures or dramatic movements. His mere presence was enough to make the Chaos Knights hesitate.

Dian Lun, sensing their unease, stepped forward. "Attack as one!"

The Chaos Knights roared, their voices echoing through the Abyssal Rift. They charged at Yun Lintian, their weapons gleaming with dark energy, their movements swift and coordinated. It was a formidable assault, one that would have overwhelmed even the most powerful cultivators.

Unfortunately, Yun Lintian wasn’t an ordinary cultivator either.

He moved.

It was a simple motion, almost effortless. His Frostmourne Spear flashed, and a wave of icy energy erupted from its tip. The energy surged forward, freezing everything in its path.

The Chaos Knights, caught in the wave, were encased in ice mid-charge, their expressions frozen in shock.

BANG!

The ice shattered, and the Chaos Knights were sent flying, their bodies falling from the sky. Some struggled to rise, their bodies battered and broken. Others lay still, their auras flickering weakly.

Dian Lun’s eyes widened in shock. He had expected Yun Lintian to be strong, but this... this was beyond anything he had imagined. With a single strike, Yun Lintian had incapacitated dozens of elite Chaos Knights.

Tang Zhen, standing beside Dian Lun, tightened his grip on his halberd. His expression was grim, but there was a flicker of determination in his eyes. He knew they couldn’t afford to hold back.

"Together," Tang Zhen said, his voice low but firm.

Dian Lun nodded. He raised his hand, and dark energy surged around him, forming a swirling vortex of chaotic power. Tang Zhen did the same, his halberd glowing with an ominous light. The two Chaos Knights charged at Yun Lintian, their combined power creating a shockwave that rippled through the Abyssal Rift.

Yun Lintian watched them approach, his expression calm. He raised his Frostmourne Spear, and the air around him seemed to freeze. The chaotic energy of the rift, which had been pressing down on him, now seemed to part, as if unwilling to challenge his authority.

As Dian Lun and Tang Zhen closed in, Yun Lintian moved. His spear flashed, and a wave of icy energy surged forward, meeting the chaotic energy of the two Chaos Knights head-on.

BOOM!

The collision of energies created a massive explosion, the shockwave rippling through the Abyssal Rift. The space around them cracked and split, and the air was filled with the sound of shattering ice and roaring chaos.

When the dust settled, Dian Lun and Tang Zhen were standing several meters away, their expressions grim. Their attacks had been powerful, but Yun Lintian had countered them with ease.

Yun Lintian stood in the center of the battlefield, his Frostmourne Spear resting lightly in his hand. His golden eyes glowed with an ethereal light, and the air around him seemed to hum with power. He looked at Dian Lun and Tang Zhen, his expression calm but filled with a quiet intensity.

"Is this all you have?" Yun Lintian asked, his voice calm but laced with a hint of disappointment. "I expected more from the Chaos Knights."

Dian Lun’s expression darkened. He had always prided himself on his strength, his ability to overcome any challenge. But facing Yun Lintian, he felt a sense of helplessness, a feeling he hadn’t experienced in a long time.

"You are strong, Yun Lintian," Dian Lun admitted, his voice steady but filled with a quiet resolve. "But do not think this is over."

He raised his hand, and a faint, ominous glow began to emanate from his palm. Around him, the remaining Chaos Knights, though battered and bruised, began to move into position. Their movements were precise, almost ritualistic, as if they were following a preordained pattern.

Tang Zhen, standing beside Dian Lun, also raised his hand, his halberd crackling with chaotic energy. The other Chaos Knights followed suit, their weapons glowing with dark power as they spread out in a wide circle around Yun Lintian…
