Chapter 167: The Final Integration

Meanwhile, a few moments earlier in the council room, Daisy sat with her arms folded across her chest in front of Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne.

"So... why did you all drag me here?" Daisy asked.

Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne fell silent for a moment. Then they all looked at Daisy; their faces looked sad, but there was a burning determination in their eyes.

"Daisy, it’s time. You need to know everything now," Diana said.

"That’s right," Dahlia added.

"As you know, the rest of us are just parts of you. You must remember who you really are," Donna added.

"It’s true. You have to remember who Dennis is... who your older sister is... and... where you actually came from," Deborah added.

"Since you were a child... you split yourself into seven parts... which is the six of us and you. So... the time has come... sorry, I’m not good with words," Dulcia added.

"You have to know everything... just like Dennis... he’s experienced an awakening from the start," Daphne added.

Hearing the words of the six and seeing their faces, Daisy, who had initially been smiling casually, suddenly became tense and worried.

"What are you all actually trying to say?" Daisy asked, confused and afraid.

"It’s time for you to erase the six of us and become whole again as you were before," Daphne answered.

Hearing Daphne’s answer, Daisy flinched in shock. She stood up and slammed the table in front of her. The expression on her face clearly said she didn’t want to part with the others. With trembling lips, she spoke.

"But... I can’t... you’re all my sisters... I don’t want to be lonely anymore," Daisy said, her fists clenched on the table and her eyes beginning to well up.

Hearing Daisy’s words and seeing her looking so scared and sad, the six of them smiled and stood up. They immediately approached Daisy and crowded around her. Then they all hugged Daisy and cried, but it was clear on their faces that they had made up their minds. Diana released her hug and held both of Daisy’s shoulders.

"You won’t be lonely. There’s our husband, there’s Destiny, there’s our father and mother-in-law, and there’s Mama... you aren’t alone like you used to be," Diana said, smiling through streaming tears.

"That’s right. We are only parts of your memory and your personality. You aren’t our sister; we are your creations," Dahlia added, smiling and hugging Daisy while stroking her head, tears flowing.

"Thank you for making us live and feel the beauty of life. It’s been truly wonderful. But we aren’t going anywhere; we’re just going back inside you and becoming one with you," Donna added.

"Don’t be afraid. Because after you remember everything, you will know the truth, and you’ll know that we are with you when you remember who you are," Deborah said while holding Daisy’s hand.

"I’m speechless... but I love you... because I am also a part of you," Dulcia added, hugging Daisy.

"It’s time for you... sorry, for us to be happy... I’ll be with you so you don’t have to worry or be anxious anymore... the six of us are always here with you. So... erase us. Bring us back into yourself," Daphne said, pressing her forehead against Daisy’s.

Daisy didn’t answer. She only cried and looked down in silence, her hands trembling along with her entire body. Then Diana slowly turned Daisy’s body around and held her shoulders.

"It’s time. Thank you, Daisy. I love you... I am number 2, Diana. I am your sense of inquiry, your curiosity, and your anxiety that makes you enjoy investigating things. Now, I am returning to you," Diana said with a smile.

Before Daisy could do anything, Diana pressed her forehead to Daisy’s. A bright light appeared. Diana was absorbed into Daisy’s body, and her clone body disintegrated into ash. While the light faded and Daisy hadn’t yet had time to do anything or process what was happening, Dahlia was already standing in front of her, holding Daisy’s shoulders and smiling.

"I am number 3, Dahlia. I am the manifestation of your desire for revenge... I am also your distrust of others, your regret, and your fear of speaking out... goodbye, Daisy. I love you," Dahlia said, smiling.

Just like Diana, Dahlia pressed her forehead to Daisy’s. Bright light filled the room again. Dahlia was absorbed into Daisy’s body, and her clone body disintegrated into ash. Daisy fell back into her chair. Her eyes darted back and forth rapidly; she looked utterly bewildered. But Donna immediately stood in front of her and hugged her. Afterward, she looked at Daisy with a sad face and a smile.

"I’m number 4, Donna... I am your hobbies, your playfulness, and your mischief. I am also your favorites, which is why I take the form of a cat and love computers... just like you. Thank you, Daisy. What I’ve experienced has been truly wonderful. I love you. Goodbye," Donna said, smiling.

Donna pressed her forehead to Daisy’s. The same thing happened once more. Donna was absorbed, and her clone body disintegrated into ash before drifting away. Next was Deborah. She stood directly in front of Daisy and stroked Daisy’s head. Daisy could no longer speak, her mouth hanging open and her eyes wide and flooded with tears. Then Deborah knelt in front of the seated Daisy and held both of her hands while smiling.

"I am number 5, Deborah... I am your creative side, your desire to create something useful, and your self-esteem. Thank you, Daisy. Thanks to you, I could experience everything, from traveling to falling in love. I love you... until we meet again, because I’m going back inside you," Deborah said, smiling.

Deborah stood up and pressed her forehead. Like the others, she was absorbed into Daisy’s body, and her clone body disintegrated into ash and vanished. Dulcia stepped forward and turned Daisy’s chair. Daisy was stunned and unable to say a word. Dulcia smiled and hugged Daisy, then whispered into her ear.

"I am number 6, Dulcia... I am your vigilance, your defense, and your anger. After I go in, you’ll know why I used to be so annoyed with our husband. I love you, Daisy. That’s why I’m going back inside you. So don’t worry, we are always together. Thank you for considering me a sister. I’m so happy," Dulcia said, smiling.

Then she released her hug and pressed her forehead. Just like the rest, she was absorbed and her body disintegrated. Finally, Daphne stepped forward. She looked at Daisy and smiled. She stroked Daisy’s head and then knelt to hug her.

"Daisy... look at me," Daphne said.

Daisy raised her head. She saw Daphne in front of her, smiling sadly and crying.

"Who do you see in front of you?" Daphne asked.

Daisy lifted her head. She stared at Daphne’s face, and suddenly Daphne’s face transformed into Railey’s face.

"Sister," Daisy answered weakly.

"That’s right. I am number 7, Daphne... I am all of your desires. From the wish for your father to return, the wish for a kind older sister who loves you, and finally... the desire to be with Dennis... it’s all inside me. So... when I go inside, you will remember everything... you will remember your life in the previous world," Daphne said, smiling.

"Previous... life?" Daisy asked weakly, though she clearly looked confused.

"You will understand... but this time... I’m sure you are strong enough to face whatever memories come. Thank you for letting me out to have fun. I love you. Being with you, Dennis, and Destiny has been truly wonderful," Daphne answered.

Slowly, she brought Daisy’s head toward her own. Then she pressed her forehead to Daisy’s. A light brighter than any before filled the room. Daphne was absorbed into Daisy’s body, and her body, with a smiling face, disintegrated into dust and vanished.

After the light vanished, the atmosphere in the room turned silent. Daisy sat alone inside the secret council chamber, her face looking stunned as memory after memory flowed through her head.

"I... remember everything," Daisy said slowly.

She remembered her entire life in the previous world since she was a child: her first meeting with Dennis and her promise; her constant arguments since childhood with Railey because Railey was jealous of her, plus how Railey was always busy with online games and ignored her; separating from Dennis because her father died and she moved away; her suffering when her father passed; her new life with her mother’s boyfriend; her sister running away from home because she hated their new father, which left her as the target of abuse by her stepfather.

Meeting Dennis again in high school but Dennis had forgotten her; trying to get close to Dennis but being blocked by Bella just like when she was little; being bullied relentlessly by Bella and her friends until she was raped by men hired by Bella without Dennis’s knowledge; but then, just as she had lost all hope at the end of her life, she was saved by Dennis and immediately smiled wide, closing her eyes to accept death.

"Waaaaaaaaah!"

Daisy screamed hysterically as all the memories of her previous life resurfaced in her head. But suddenly, "blam," the door opened. Dennis stood at the doorway holding Destiny. Daisy turned toward the door with a face haggard from crying, clutching her head with both hands. Dennis, still carrying Destiny, immediately rushed to Daisy and hugged her. Daisy instantly buried her face in Dennis’s chest while sobbing uncontrollably. Meanwhile, Dennis looked around the empty room and smiled sadly.

"Goodbye Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, Daphne... I won’t forget you, and thank you," Dennis said in his head while hugging Daisy and holding Destiny. Tears dripped from Dennis’s eyes, but then he also glanced at the interface beside him.
