Chapter 416: Chapter 415: The Strong

Upon hearing the rebuke, the young man not only showed no sign of panic, but rather like a venomous snake ready to strike, he stretched out his tongue to lick his lips.

Seeing that this ’civilian’ stood still without any intention of moving, the administrative officer issuing the curfew order became somewhat angry, intensifying his tone: "Are you deaf? Go home quickly."

Facing the sudden incident, the armored vehicle immediately ceased its movement, and two fully armed soldiers disembarked, heading toward the young man at the foot of the building.

Normally, a little leeway could be allowed, but since the City Council had already declared a curfew, they wouldn’t mind arresting a few rebellious civilians.

The dark muzzle aimed at the young man in front, one soldier cursed: "Since you don’t want to go home, then come with us."

Another soldier reached out to grab the young man’s collar, attempting to yank him over.

But just at this moment.

The young man suddenly moved.

A Blood Arrow shot from his mouth, instantly piercing the throat of that soldier.

"Watch out! It’s a Death Fighter."

The soldier aiming his gun at the young man was startled and instinctively pulled the trigger.

Ratatat~

Bullets poured out.

Holding the trigger without letting go, directly emptying the magazine.

Unfortunately, the result was disappointing.

All the bullets fired were blocked by a dark red shield in front of the young man.

The dark red shield turned into a puddle of blood, and the young man stepped over the blood beneath him, clicking his tongue with praise: "Didn’t expect cunning craftsmanship to wield such power."

The soldier, though shocked, did not panic, bending down to quickly replace the magazine, but this required time.

The young man didn’t give the soldier this opportunity, a drop of blood bead seeped from his hand as he aimed at the soldier before him and lightly commanded: "Go."

The unremarkable blood bead shot forth, claiming the soldier’s life in front of him and then, as if with a mind of its own, it turned in midair, heading toward the armored vehicle on the road.

Seeing the ’civilian’ violently harm others, the remaining soldiers and administrative personnel inside the armored vehicle all changed expressions drastically.

They weren’t unprepared for such sudden events mentally, but the problem was, mental preparedness couldn’t replace force.

The administrative officer on top of the vehicle hadn’t had time to request aid before the blood bead shot through the gap into the armored vehicle.

No chance to dodge, everyone inside the armored vehicle was hit by the blood bead, turning into pools of blood amidst piercing screams.

Confirming there were no survivors, the young man stretched out lazily.

He seemed as though he had inadvertently stepped on a few ants in passing, too lazy to check the state of the deceased, directly lifting his foot into a nearby Habitable Tower.

"Seems it’s okay to make the actions a bit larger."

...

"Quickly get in the car, aren’t you going?"

The captain of the sixth team rolled down the car window, staring in surprise at Lv Bai standing beside the off-road vehicle.

Even the old principal Pu Xueli sat in the car ready to go over and help, whereas Lv Bai remained standing, showing no intention of getting in the car.

"Riding the car there is too slow."

Lv Bai looked up at the sky, casually responding.

He certainly didn’t intend to sit back and do nothing.

In fact, he was very much aware of the actual cause behind the series of disturbances orchestrated by the Can Society.

Without waiting for the captain of the sixth team to ask, Lv Bai suddenly soared into the sky: "I’ll go first."

[Wind Manipulation], [Strike in the Dark], [All Ink].

Simultaneously activating three abilities.

Out of nowhere, a pitch-black passage appeared on his path forward, seen from afar, it seemed like a black line soaring into the sky.

Lv Bai made no effort to cover up, the explosive sonic boom resulting from his rapid speed made this black line extremely conspicuous in the sky, some unknowingly might have thought the holographic canopy overhead cracked.

Exclamations echoed from various parts of the shelter, many looked up at the black line, trying to figure out what it was.

Using Lv Bai’s current speed as a standard, the entire Shelter Number 9 was pathetically small.

In just a few breaths, Lv Bai arrived above Xiaoxiang and Daxiang Campus.

His gaze briefly scanned the chaotic area below after the explosion, his expression unchanged.

With the cheating ability [Load], Death Fighters possessing abilities could not hide before him.

"One, two... only three people?"

Even though he had never seen the legendary President, Lv Bai immediately identified which one was the President.

Below, the man holding a long spear had five colors and one gold glowing above his head.

Lv Bai was witnessing such an exaggerated ability setup in the shelter for the first time; even in the Death Arena, it was rare for a Death Fighter to amass six abilities, let alone five of which were Color Level abilities.

Due to his arrival making too much of a stir, naturally, the President immediately looked at Lv Bai poised mid-air, suspending himself shortly thereafter to reach the same altitude.

"You must be Lv Bai, right? I’ve heard Vice President Zheng mention you."

The President didn’t attack, instead, he flashed a friendly smile: "I thought this minor operation didn’t require your intervention, but since you’re here, how about we have some fun together?"

Lv Bai narrowed his eyes slightly, didn’t speak.

Seeing this, the President’s expression froze, quickly recovering: "Did he tell you that the Leader is looking for you?"

"Do you know where the descending Monan people are?" Lv Bai replied with a question.

He actually harbored no prejudice against these fellows from the Can Society.

He could comprehend the thought process of those Can Society members betraying humanity and turning to revere external civilizations.

It’s almost like some would jest that the alien masters are coming in a sort of black humor, perhaps Can Society fellows are just more extreme.

"Indeed, I do know."

The President nodded, the smile on his face gradually faded: "But I cannot tell you."

Lv Bai sighed, he realized the President in front of him wasn’t devious like Vice President Zheng.

It also made sense, if even the leader had ulterior motives, likely the Can Society couldn’t thrive under the nose of the City Council for so long.

"Honestly, even without the aid of the Monan people, solely relying on your abilities, you could achieve many things."

Death Fighters retaining six abilities were almost on vacation compared to the Death Arena, let alone in the real world.

"Because I’m not a strong entity."

The President slowly raised the long spear in his hand: "Every creature trusts something better than itself. Without blindly following, survival is impossible."

Boom!

The slender spear emitted a piercing sharp explosion in flight.

Lv Bai’s expression didn’t change, raising his hand to aim at the spear, [Load] was quietly activated.

The spear nearly touching his palm suddenly vanished out of thin air, as if it had never existed.

He gently teased: "According to your logic, you should be following me."
