Chapter 914: Chapter 914: I Want to Go With You...

Before Sebastian Moore could say anything, the Moore matriarch spoke up again: "Now that rascal is in love with our Monica, and the most important thing is that Monica still likes him. Why do you insist on separating the lovebirds and making Monica unhappy?"

"Exactly!" Isabelle Hewitt chimed in, looking at Sebastian Moore with a warning, "I’m warning you, Elder Moore, my daughter just came back, don’t you dare drive her away!"

"He wouldn’t dare!" Elder Moore made the decision right away, "If he dares to drive Monica away, then he shouldn’t come back either!"

Unlike the intense grilling Sebastian Moore was receiving, Arnold, after returning to his room, received a call from Mark not long after.

As soon as the call connected, Mark’s magnetic voice came through, "Have you eaten yet?"

"I have. How about you? Have you eaten?" Arnold said as she threw herself onto the soft and comfortable bed.

Then Arnold pulled her large teddy bear into her arms, holding it while lying there, she asked, "How’s Marcus? Is he with you now?"

"Auntie, I’m here." Marcus responded, then shouted at the phone, "Auntie, Marcus misses you. How about we do a video call?"

"Sure!" Arnold agreed, immediately switching to a video call.

As soon as the video call connected, Marcus’s face, which closely resembled Mark’s, appeared on the phone screen, "Auntie, are you coming over to play with Marcus?" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Arnold: "..."

Is he really asking such a shocking question right off the bat?

Could it be that Laurant Foster he...

"Auntie, I haven’t seen you for a month already, would you come play with Marcus for a while?" Seeing Arnold silent, Marcus asked again.

After he finished speaking, fearing Arnold would refuse, Marcus added, "Auntie, Marcus really, really misses you."

Looking at Marcus on the screen, Arnold found it hard to say no, "Alright then, you wait for Auntie, Auntie will come over later."

"If you come now, General Moore would get angry, right?" As soon as Arnold finished speaking, Mark inquired.

Arnold nodded honestly, "He definitely will!"

But thinking about what Sebastian said today, Arnold pouted, "If he’s angry, let him be. I’m mad too!"

"Alright then, I’ll come pick you up now." With that, not giving Arnold a chance to respond, Mark hung up the phone.

Looking at the disconnected call, Arnold suddenly had a very strong feeling.

She looked at her teddy bear, asking, "Aimee, why do I feel like I’ve been tricked?"

Aimee: "..."

Arnold nodded, speaking to herself confidently, "Yes, I’ve definitely been tricked."

As she said this, an involuntary smile appeared on Arnold’s face.

Then Arnold, hugging her teddy bear, laughed foolishly for a while, then sat up from the bed and chose a beige long dress to change into.

After that, she applied a touch of makeup with a careful hand, and then walked out of her bedroom door.

When she reached the living room downstairs, she saw Isabelle Hewitt sitting on the sofa and called out, "Mommy, I have to go out for a bit, I’ll be back soon."

"Alright." Isabelle nodded, reminding her, "Come back early, don’t be too late."

Arnold agreed, "I know."

However, even though she said so, knowingly falling into the trap and willingly going to the appointment, Arnold wouldn’t be coming back early tonight, not at all...

The next morning, when the sun was already high in the sky, Arnold woke up from her sleep.

Thinking about how she had promised to come back, yet stayed out the whole night, Arnold didn’t know how she would face her mother later.

But thinking about her mother’s and her grandparents’ indulgence towards her, Arnold considered bringing Mark home instead.

This way, her mother and grandparents could meet Mark and help her persuade the stubborn Elder Moore.

With this thought, Arnold immediately threw off the silk covers, got out of bed, and decided to find Mark to discuss taking him home to the Moore family.

However, when Arnold walked out of the bedroom, she didn’t see Mark anywhere in the apartment.

Marcus looked at Arnold, asking, "Auntie, are you looking for Dad?"

Arnold nodded, "Yes, where did he go?"

While Arnold was still sound asleep, Mark had already gotten up.

He prepared a sumptuous breakfast for Marcus and Arnold, then instructed Marcus not to wake up Arnold before he left the apartment for work.

Upon arriving at work, Mark went straight to Sebastian Moore’s office to report, "Sir, Laurant Foster reporting for duty!"

Given that Arnold didn’t return all night and knowing she was with the young brat in front of him, Sebastian Moore was displeased with everything about Mark.

"Hmph!" Sebastian Moore snorted coldly, "I’ve already fired you, what are you reporting for!"

Mark smiled, "Sir, you wouldn’t fire me."

Sebastian Moore: "..."

How could he not fire him!

Mark stood up straight, saluting sharply, "Reporting, Laurant Foster here to accept the order to train new recruits at Misty Mountain!"

"Hmph!" Sebastian Moore snorted coldly, his eagle-like sharp eyes locking onto Mark, and after a long while, he finally spoke, "You’re not allowed to contact Monica for a year, and you can’t come back either!"

Mark looked at Sebastian Moore and confidently promised, "Rest assured, sir, in a year’s time, I guarantee to train a division of elite soldiers!"

Sebastian Moore waved his hand, "Scram!"

"Yes!" Mark responded, turning and leaving.

At the same time, Arnold learned from Marcus where Mark had gone.

Without thinking further, Arnold immediately guessed Mark’s intention.

Without any hesitation, Arnold left the apartment and returned to the Moore family, packed her things, and hurried to the road leading to Misty Mountain...

Not long after Mark left work in his car, he saw Arnold standing at the intersection with a backpack, waiting for him.

"This little fox is still so cunning, still so worrisome!" Mark sighed helplessly, driving the car up beside Arnold and stopping.

After the car came to a halt, Mark pushed open the car door and got out.

He pulled Arnold into his embrace, "You silly girl, what should I do with you?"

Arnold looked up at Mark, and spoke seriously, "As long as you don’t leave me, anything is fine."

Mark: "..."

He reached out to lightly tap Arnold’s nose, his eyes filled with affection as he looked at her, "Be good, stay home and wait for me, okay?"

Arnold refused, "No."

Mark gently pinched Arnold’s cheek, "It’s too hard there, don’t go."

"I’m not afraid!" Arnold said stubbornly, then looking at Mark, she said, "Laurant, we just got together, I don’t want to wait for you for a year, I want to go to Misty Mountain with you!"
