Chapter 909: Chapter 909: Arnold Is Shy...

Finally, after adjusting Mark’s sitting position, Arnold quickly turned his face away and took deep breaths of fresh air.

But Mark insisted on speaking up at this moment, "Arnold, why are you still dazing there? Why aren’t you hurrying up to help me bathe?"

Arnold had no choice but to steel himself and turn his head back, blushing and breathing heavily, as he helped Mark take a bath...

Because of his shyness, while bathing Mark, Arnold kept his eyes tightly shut, not daring to glance at Mark’s body in the water.

His pale hand holding the cloth trembled slightly from nervousness.

Yet, relying on his previous experiences and his own senses, things went relatively smooth when he was washing Mark’s chest and back.

Of course, except for Arnold’s slightly trembling hands that would sometimes lose control of the cloth and accidentally touch Mark’s burning skin.

But this smoothness didn’t last long.

When Arnold, holding his breath, almost suffocated as he finally finished wiping Mark’s upper body, he moved on with tightly closed eyes to Mark who was soaking in his thoughts.

Arnold originally intended only to wash Mark’s legs, leaving the dangerous areas for Mark to handle himself.

Arnold’s cheeks reddened even more, his breathing more rapid, unable to stay there a moment longer, he lifted his feet to leave.

But after taking only two steps, Arnold stopped again, because more than feeling shy and awkward, Arnold was more worried about Mark falling...

Arnold turned his back to Mark, standing two steps away from him.

Standing there, Arnold could clearly hear the sound of Mark stirring the water in the bath, rubbing it over his body.

Inside the bathtub, Mark stared intensely at Arnold.

He stirred the water, continuing the tasks Arnold hadn’t finished, his gaze fixed intensely on Arnold, pondering a very serious and, to him, very important question.

Mark was very sure that Arnold had long since moved into his heart, unknowingly, before he even realized it, Arnold was already there.

Moreover, after spending these past couple of weeks together, he could surely tell himself, he likes this girl, loves this girl, this feeling is not one bit less than his love for Melody!

For Melody, he had affection, love, he wanted to protect, but destiny wasn’t on his side, and in Melody’s heart, another man had long since moved in.

Melody was just too outstanding, and she was the first woman he deeply loved. Even knowing that destiny wasn’t in their favor, and that he could wish her well, he just couldn’t let go.

But Arnold had stayed with him, using her love little by little to pull him out of that pain, showing him her beauty and excellence.

Mark’s heart was small, capable of holding only a place for one person.

And Arnold is so wonderful, Mark absolutely refused to disappoint Arnold!

Therefore, even discovering that he liked Arnold, without being sure if he still loved Melody, Mark would never allow anything to happen between him and Arnold.

But later, everything spiraled out of control.

When Arnold found Mark and told him that she had to get engaged to Ethan Sterling, and after saying goodbye with a kiss, preparing to leave, Mark realized he absolutely couldn’t let the girl go.

So Mark kissed Arnold and dominantly declared his love for her.

It was from that moment onward that Mark decided to let go of his love for Melody completely.

In future, in his life, in his heart, there would only be one girl, a girl who loves him with her life, who has been through life and death with him — Arnold.

After making this decision, Mark began gradually removing every ounce of affection he had for Melody from his heart.

Now Mark finally achieved it.

In the past, his deep love for Melody had been completely uprooted from his heart, now he was certain that his heart solely belonged to Arnold.

This meant, Melody Parker to Mark was now only a friend, a pure, untainted friend with whom he could entrust his life.

And the girl in front of him was the one he wanted to have, to be with for a lifetime, growing old together — his one and only.

With his heart’s singular determination, Mark prepared to end his life of purity.

He slightly curled his lips, his eyes carrying a determined smile, "Arnold, I’m done washing."

"Oh." Arnold replied, stepping back to Mark’s side.

She picked up the towel placed nearby, handing it to Mark, "Dry yourself first."

Mark didn’t take the towel handed by Arnold, he looked at Arnold and said, "Arnold, I haven’t stood up yet."

Arnold: "..."

She was already in front of him, couldn’t he at least grab the edge of the tub and then hold onto her shoulders, using her strength to stand up himself?

While Arnold was thinking this and hadn’t said it out loud yet, Mark’s voice sounded again, "There’s water in the tub, it’s slippery, I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold on and might fall again."

"Be careful, first hold onto the edge of the tub to stand up, then hold onto me, it should be fine, right?" Arnold voiced her inner thoughts.

Though she said it, Arnold was still worried, so she temporarily placed the towel aside.

With her eyes closed, she turned around and stretched her hands out towards Mark, "Why don’t you just grab my hands to get up, it’s safer this way."

"Alright." Mark’s mischievous eyes locked onto Arnold, his distinctly jointed big hand grasped Arnold’s small hand, and then with her help, he gradually stood up.

But as he was just standing up, Mark slipped, staggering and falling back into the bathtub...

"Careful!" Arnold exclaimed, wrapping her arms around Mark’s firm waist.

Mark stood steadily in the tub, his lips curled slightly, his face carrying a teasing smile as he looked at the startled Arnold who had opened her eyes in panic.
