Chapter 1158: Ready For Round Two?

Unlike Aaaninja, who was the type of person to remain silent while wiping out his enemies with cold efficiency, Lucian actually loved speaking his enemies through their deaths sometimes, almost as though he were some sort of arrogant Young Master from ancient legends.

"Let me test the new katana knowledge and skills I acquired after stepping into the Apexus Mana Rank. You guys will make fine test subjects," he stated with an amused smile as his hand shifted toward the katana hanging by his waist.

With a simple motion, he drew it, the sound of the blade sliding out of its sheath hissing sharply through the air.

The Demons and the people of the Divinora Galaxy didn’t dare delay. Their energies boomed outward violently as they immediately wrapped both their bodies and weapons in various types of Intent and Faith Energy.

Lucian’s Sword Intent bloomed around both him and his katana, taking on a mixture of black and purple hues, making him seem less like an actual Human and more like Death’s personal apprentice.

In a blur, he vanished.

He appeared directly before the first Angel, his katana aiming for the Angel’s wings without the slightest shred of hesitation. But the Angel had seemingly already anticipated he would be targeted first. He flapped his wings violently and streaked away from where he stood, his speed reaching its absolute peak.

Lucian didn’t bother giving chase. Instead, he casually swung his katana, and in a blur, thousands of crescent-shaped black and purple Sword Intent slashes erupted outward across the sky as they chased after the fleeing Angel.

The Angel’s spear blurred frantically as he immediately met every incoming death attack with his own spear techniques while boosting himself to the absolute extreme using his Faith Energy. Although Lucian was attacking casually, the Angel could still feel the monstrous pressure hidden behind every single slash.

He was a Fourteen-Winged Angel, a pinnacle existence, a being above all lifeforms and beneath only their God. He was meant to dominate battlefields effortlessly, yet here he was barely managing to deflect a mere few thousand sword crescent attacks. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The Demons closed in simultaneously, their movements swift and nearly silent, but it was completely futile beneath Lucian’s senses. His body merely shifted slightly to the side as he effortlessly dodged a slash coming from behind him. The moment he dodged, he turned around in one smooth and fluid motion, his katana slicing through the air with frightening ease.

The Demon who had attacked him froze instantly as he felt his throat split apart.

The moment his head disconnected from his body, he was immediately split in half from head to waist, then split again diagonally. Within less than a single millisecond, his body had already been reduced into thousands of scattered flesh fragments.

Lucian’s head immediately snapped upward toward the sky as he sensed the burning intensity of a searing flame sword attack descending toward him. He merely shook his head slightly, utterly unimpressed by the weakness hidden behind the attack.

His katana blurred upward once more, and with a booming sound, the entirety of the sky was immediately split into two equal halves. The clouds parted effortlessly, space itself splitting open like a fractured egg. The Angel and their attack was severed apart completely, and soon after, the right and left halves of the Angel’s body plummeted downward beneath the crushing weight of gravity.

[Barrier Magic: Seal Of The Condemned]

Faith Energy immediately thundered outward as a gigantic magic circle appeared beneath Lucian’s feet while a massive sealing formation rose upward to bind him in place.

Lucian didn’t panic.

He merely glanced at it casually before raising one foot and slamming it downward with indifferent ease. With a deafening boom, the magic circle shattered instantly upon impact. The Angel who had cast the spell immediately suffered a severe backlash as blood started pouring out from his nose and eyes uncontrollably.

But the very moment Lucian’s attention shifted toward the magic circle, a member of an unknown race from the Divinora Galaxy immediately unleashed a storm of attacks toward him.

[Bow Technique: Flame Type: Sin Erasure]

Lucian’s gaze snapped forward the instant he sensed the incoming danger. Millions of arrows forged from pure burning holy flames shot toward him at terrifying speed, the attacks melting space itself as they moved with light-speed momentum.

Lucian didn’t hesitate in the slightest.

He instantly vanished from where he stood, his body flickering away as he dodged while his figure shot downward toward the desert below. The arrows hissed past the location he had occupied mere nanoseconds earlier, but they immediately recalibrated and gave chase, almost as though they possessed a terrifying homing ability.

The moment Lucian’s feet touched the sand beneath him, his hand transformed into a blur while his body became a phantom of motion as he zipped across the desert at incomprehensible speed, meeting every single incoming arrow with absurd ease. No matter what angle they approached from, he deflected every single one of them flawlessly.

But the next moment, the arrows suddenly brightened intensely, then with titanic force, they exploded outward like countless supernovas detonating simultaneously, each constellation-like explosion swallowing Lucian entirely where he stood.

Sand erupted backward violently as the desert transformed into literal scorched earth, the ground liquefying into molten lava while sections of it turned into nothing but burning glass. Choking smoke and dark fumes rose toward the heavens in the shape of gigantic mushroom clouds.

The Demons and Angels floated around the destruction silently, waiting anxiously to see whether Lucian had finally died. They genuinely hoped he had. After all, none of them had expected a Human like him to exist in the first place.

But before any of them could even begin to relax, an endless storm of spatial slashes and cleaves suddenly filled the surrounding air with death-ridden apocalypse.

None of them could react, they couldn’t even blink before their bodies were immediately torn apart. Limbs were severed, torsos ripped open, and organs scattered through the sky mercilessly.

Pain assaulted both their minds and bodies simultaneously, yet that quickly became the least of their concerns. They immediately vanished from the sky once more, their bodies regenerating rapidly as they retreated. Then, through the churning smoke, Lucian slowly stepped outward with indifferent calmness and effortless ease.

His composure remained entirely unshaken, his clothes were still perfectly intact, there wasn’t even the slightest trace of injury upon his body, as though the combined explosion of thousands of arrows, each one comparable to a miniature supernova, hadn’t even managed to pierce his skin.

A smile slowly spread across Lucian’s lips as he spoke once again, "ready for round two?"

His words sounded simple and casual, yet beneath that simplicity lay overwhelming and undeniable danger.
