Chapter 672: Chapter 534: Grandmother’s Little Tip, A Way to Guarantee Marriage_2

"Praise the God of Mars!"

The chorus of adulations echoed around, causing Xīmí to shake his head with unrestrained joy.

At last, his child had made something of himself!

Indra blinked, a faint smile forming on his face.

He looked upward.

Above the vast expanse of the starry sky, the sun, moon, and planets like gold, wood, fire, earth, Rahu, and Ketu all twinkled, orbiting in a perpetual ring. It seemed now only Mercury was missing.

No sooner had this thought crossed Indra’s mind,

Than he blinked and suddenly felt a surge of Curse Power descending from the heavens, entangling him in an instant and bringing with it a wave of misfortune as if to doom him to bad luck.

But swiftly this power was suppressed by the auspicious force of Goddess Lakshmi within him.

What the hell?

"Hm?"

"Who cast this curse?"

Indra furrowed his brow, taking a step back and said.

His Brow Chakra sparkled like a third eye, radiating a brilliant light, and following this Power of Karma, he traced its path upward.

In an instant, a bright moon appeared before his eyes.

"Soma?"

Indra slowly turned his head to look at the Moon God Soma next to him. As his gaze met Soma’s visage, a sinister force struck once again.

Alright!

It was definitely Soma!

Indra’s brow twitched as he slightly turned away.

He wasn’t afraid of the curse since he carried Goddess Lakshmi’s power within him, and Jyeshta was by his side; such an inauspicious force couldn’t touch him.

But this curse seemed to mean, whoever laid eyes on Soma would be doomed to misfortune!

"I’ve been cursed by Vinayaka..."

The Moon God Soma stopped mid-sentence.

His face was a picture of misery as he brought his hands together in prayer, wailing, "Vinayaka has cursed me. Whoever sees my face, they’ll be struck with bad luck!"

Hearing this, Indra suddenly understood.

So that was it!

"My lord!"

"What’s wrong?"

Xīmí’s elegant brows arched as she inquired.

"Nothing!"

Indra said, his smile slight. He raised his hand to cover Xīmí’s eyes and turned to look at Soma.

"Don’t worry!"

"We won’t look at you!"

Indra declared assertively.

It was clear that no major harm would befall Soma; the worst that could happen was that no one would behold his face. It was not much of a loss—better to just enjoy the situation!

He stepped back.

The many Devas gave each other uncertain looks, and with a rustle of unity, retreated behind him.

...

Soma felt an even deeper urge to weep.

As one of the heavenly realm’s most handsome Devas, if others could no longer gaze upon his face, who would recognize his hunky good looks?

Antaka, perhaps?

He had no wish to seek validation from Antaka!

"Great Mahadeva!"

Soma raised his head in supplication, his hands joined in prayer toward the Shiva couple.

Parvati blinked.

She lowered her gaze to the Little Elephant God and said, "Child, forgive him. It was but an inadvertent misstep, and perhaps he was influenced by your brother!"

The child’s return to the family put her in quite the good mood!

The Little Elephant God Vinayaka cocked his head, yet to speak.

Then, Rushitan interjected, palms held together.

"My fury only affected Vinayaka himself."

"I do not even know Soma!"

Rushitan said with a smile.

Parvati’s brow rose slightly.

Was that so?

So, Soma started mocking Vinayaka as soon as he saw him?

...

Soma was at a loss for words.

Now, he deeply regretted his actions, bitterly regretting that a casual jibe had led to a curse. If only he had kept his mouth shut.

How unlucky he was!

"Great Mahadeva!"

"Save me, please!"

Soma pleaded, hands still joined.

Shiva was evidently in an excellent mood. His eyes rested on Vinayaka as he smiled and said, "Indeed, Soma meant no harm. For the welfare of all beings, let us forgive him!"

At this, the Little Elephant God scratched his head.

"The curse has been cast, but how can it be lifted?"

He pondered aloud.

Vishnu, smiling, said, "The curse cannot be lifted, but it can be attenuated by enduring hardships and spending goodwill to add conditions to it."

"However..."

"Child, you don’t have much goodwill to your name!"

Vishnu said, still smiling.

Hearing this, Soma looked expectantly at the Little Elephant God.

The Little Elephant God Vinayaka mused for a moment, raising his trunk slightly and declared, "Then I will first use my goodwill to weaken the curse, and as for the rest, I will return after I’ve endured hardship!"

He was eager to keep an eye on the bigger picture!

This curse affected not only the Devas but also many beings in the Mortal Realm; it was essential to address this problem first.

Amid his thoughts, the Little Elephant God raised his right hand.

"Soma!"

"Creatures gazing upon the moon below are not cursed, only those who see your true human face will be struck by the curse!"

The Little Elephant God spoke.

A beam of light immediately descended, infusing itself into Soma’s body and binding the curse.

"!!!"

But at that moment, Soma’s mouth slightly opened, his expression hesitant, yet he was not very happy.

By this, when others saw his human face, they would still be unfortunate, and so his beauty would still go unseen.

But he dared not ask the Little Elephant God to add more conditions.

After all, this was consuming the Little Elephant God’s blessings!

"Praise be to Vinayaka!"

"Praise be to Jasnan!"

"I salute you!"

Suppressing his sadness, Soma brought his hands together and murmured.

Shiva and Vishnu revealed smiles.

Thus, Moon God Soma could continue to rest peacefully in the sky at night, bringing coolness to the world.

The two shook their heads.

Whoosh!

The next moment, with a smile, Vishnu was surrounded by a golden column of light and vanished from the spot.

Parvati watched as her brother departed.

Her gaze involuntarily fell upon Rushitan, or rather, Mangal.

"Child!"

"Come with us to Kailash, take a look at your new home!"

Parvati said.

Hearing this, Rushitan showed a hesitant expression, turning his head to look at Xīmí.

Xīmí’s smile was gentle.

Blinking her starry eyes, she said, "Go, don’t worry, join your father and mother. No matter what, you’re still my child!"

Upon hearing this, Rushitan brought his four large hands together.

"Praise be to you!"

"Mother!"

Rushitan said with a smile.

After speaking, he slowly walked towards the Shiva couple.

Rustle!

A pale mist drifted in, enveloping the Shiva couple, Vinayaka, and Rushitan, and their figures disappeared with it.

In an instant, only the Devas remained on this vast earth.

Sigh!

Moon God Soma looked ahead to where Shiva had disappeared, feeling disheartened, and heaved a heavy sigh.

He had hoped to completely contain the curse!

But it turned out like this!

He could not say more.

What frustration!

Moon God Soma thought, sighing deeply once again.

"How unlucky!"

Moon God Soma muttered.

At that moment, he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder, and Indra’s voice rang out beside him.

"Stay calm!"

"This curse is still pretty good, at least you’ve grown stronger!"

Indra laughed.

At his words, the corners of Soma’s mouth twitched, his mood darkening even more.

Rather than being unseen, he would have preferred not to have grown stronger, even if it meant getting beaten up!

Indra slowly turned his head to look at the other gods.

"Let’s go!"

"We return to the Heavenly Realm!"

Indra said.

...

Elsewhere.

On the earth, in front of a very similar thatched cottage.

Whoosh!

A pillar of light descended.

The Divine Light scattered like fireflies, revealing the beautiful figure within.

Shachi moved lightly, with a graceful figure swaying like pendulous willows, slowly entering the yard.

She approached the door of the thatched cottage, gently pushing it open.

"Grandmother!"

Shachi said with a smile.

She looked at Aditi inside the house, revealing a faint smile.

Whoosh!

Aditi opened her eyes, surprised to see Shachi.

Hmm?

In an instant, she sensed the presence of her son from Shachi.

Indra?

Looking up again, Aditi saw a vermillion dot on Shachi’s forehead, the mark of marriage.

"Grandmother!"

"I heard you tell the story between you and Grandfather before, about securing a marriage."

"Could you tell me about it again?"

Shachi asked, lowering her head slightly with a bashful smile.
